πŸ’ BYU-TV airs Nicely Entertainment movie Wedding Cake Dreams πŸ’

I noticed a romantic comedy from Nicely Entertainment titled "Wedding Cake Dreams," starring Donna Benedicto (Farmer Seeking Love, High Flying Romance) and Markian Tarasiuk (Christmas Jars, Welcome to Valentine), in BYU-TV's schedule this Friday afternoon. Now, I'm not sure if this movie has aired on BYU-TV before since it was first released in 2021 and has been available to watch/stream free via the Roku Channel and possibly other streaming sources. According to BYU's website, it may have aired on their network in May of 2021, but I'm not recalling it then. Are any of you?

Typically, once a movie premieres on their channel, it is then available to stream on the BYU-TV website; however, this movie, "Wedding Cake Dreams," will not be available to stream until tomorrow (Friday, April 21, 2023). Whatever the case, if you haven't seen it yet, and you are interested in checking it out, there are two commercial-free showings listed below coming up on BYU-TV, or you can watch free with ads via the Roku Channel or stream via BYU's website - here.

Wedding Cake Dreams

Network: BYU-TV

Air Date: Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1pm/12c.

Encore Air Date: Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:20pm/10:20c.

Storyline: At 12 years old, Carrie Watson places a piece of wedding cake under her pillow when her mother tells her about the superstition that doing so will ensure you dream of your future true love -- and that night, Carrie dreams of a handsome man meeting her at the altar. Fast forward a couple decades, and Carrie, now a successful chemist (and amateur baker), is prepping the wedding cakes for her little sister, Lydia's wedding. Carrie is shocked to discover that the groom's best man, Jason, is the very same man from her wedding cake dream.

Movie Review:

πŸ’ Wedding Cake Dreams– is a feel-good, family-friendly movie for all ages. At times, the lead girl, Carrie Watson, (who is a professional chemist) acts somewhat silly around a guy she likes, and you want to tell her, “Hey girl, get it together,” but, I suppose that’s part of the comedy charm of it. Plus, he is rather swoon-worthy.

I loved Carrie’s endearing relationship with her parents and her little sister, Lydia, who is the bride-to-be. Lydia lacks confidence, at times, and it’s nice to see her turn to her sister for advice. There’s one family scene in particular that especially warmed my heart. Carrie’s father walks over to her in the kitchen as she is baking wedding cakes; he proudly looks at his grown-up daughter, calls her by her nickname, ladybug, and says how having her home reminds him of when he had all of his birdies in the nest. I nearly burst out crying. It’s refreshing to see how much, as a family, they all deeply care for one another.

There are no fake relationships, and I don’t want to give too much away, but someone does pretend to be someone else at one point, which causes two characters to keep secrets.

This movie has three main actors you may recognize from previous TV movies, including: Donna Benedicto (Love in the Forecast, Farmer Seeking Love), Markian Tarasiuk (Welcome to Valentine, Christmas Jars), and Preston Vanderslice (Mystery 101, The Engagement Back-Up).

All in all, “Wedding Cake Dreams” is a delightful, wholesome, lighthearted rom-com. ~Net

***************************

BYU-TV has previously aired movies from Nicely Entertainment, including A Cape Cod Christmas, Christmas with Felicity, and others. Perhaps, they will air even more films from this production company in the future.

"Wedding Cake Dreams" is one of those movies I have been meaning to stream for a while, but I must say, it will be much nicer to watch it ad-free now on the BYU channel than to stream it with commercials on the Roku Channel that you can't fast-forward. If any of you have seen this movie, I would love to know your thoughts on it in the comments area below.

Blessings on your day!

    1. Thank you for mentioning that. I just checked my cable guide and it says Movie, Romance, Premiere under the Title after I chose more INFO on my remote. Usually, any show or movie that has been on before will list a date when it first premiered.

    2. I watched this years ago on YouTube in 2021. I checked Brook Nevin’s movies but I noticed she directed Wedding Cake Dreams since I checked the movie; Wedding Cake Dreams when I found it’s on YouTube full movie. It’s family friendly.

Net, I posted about Wedding Cake Dreams on your blog. It was aired on YouTube but Wedding Cake Dreams was never premiere on any TV Networks

  4. Nice to see BYU airing a rom com again. They’ve been fairly stale in that arena as of late.

    1. BYU aired a series of Rom.Coms from Incendo (maybe they had a deal with them) but for some reason the company hasn't produced many of these recently.

Perhaps this is why there have been few of these on BYU - they were never prolific in this department anyway - Florence

    1. Yes, BYU is on Frndly! I've recorded a few shows on that channel through the streaming source. I love being able to go back and retrieve something, even after it's aired. That's the best! :)

    2. BYU TV is on Frndly TV but BYU TV won't let you record wedding cake dreams. It says the content provider has restricted this program from being available on demand. And Frndly TV always lets you record days behind tje live schedule but you can't record wedding dreams
