Hallmark Press Release:
STUDIO CITY, CA – July 22 – Aubrey Reynolds (“A Sister’s Grudge”, Bookworm and the Beast) and Richard McWilliams (“Vikings,” “Fair City”) star in “Love’s Portrait,” a new original Premiering Sunday, September 4 (9 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
Lily (Reynolds) is a museum curator who discovers a painting that looks just like her and is sent to find where the painting came from and who painted it. Lily’s search leads her to Ireland, where she tracks down the painting to the post office it was sent from. There she meets William (McWilliams) and Saoirse (Kathryn McKiernan), a brother-sister duo who runs the post office. They offer their help, but William knows more than he’s letting on. He must decide if he’ll reveal what he knows, even if it puts at risk the growing feelings, he and Lily have for each other.
“Love’s Portrait” is from Candlelight Media Group and Silver Peak Productions. AJC Pennyworth, Elisa Jan and Brian Brough are executive producers. The movie is produced by Brian Brough and John Lyde. Lyde directed from a script written by him and Brittany Wiscombe.
-- HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES --
This movie isn't your typical Hallmark mystery, but it will include a mystery element, which is what many viewers have been hoping to see added to Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. While it's refreshing to see a non-murder style mystery, like "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," I still hope to see traditional mysteries, like "Mystery 101," return.
If you're not familiar with the lead actors, you may recognize Aubrey Reynolds from the Christmas movies, "Hot Chocolate Holiday," Christmas Tree Lane," and "My Christmas Love."
Well I don't know but that photo doesn't fill me with much confidence.
ReplyDeleteDid you ever see two such bored and unhapy looking people? - Florence
They have very poor accents. Sister has none at all
DeleteStill hoping for more of the mysteries series to continue but am very discouraged at this point!
ReplyDeleteJoyce, I know just what you mean. And... I don't mind new mysteries, but I wish they had finished all the other old ones first. It is very discouraging. Who wants to start these new mysteries, wondering if they will ever finish.
DeleteI am sad that I am pretty sure Fall Harvest is done. The commercial says a new season of rom com's, so i dont think Fall Harvest is a theme at all. I shouldn't be surprised cause it seems they have abandoned fall harvest for a while now. I am only watching HM now cause of christmas but will go back to HMM after.
ReplyDeleteSabrina
Fall Harvest is in Mid-September until October just before Countdown to Christmas in Mid-October until December
DeleteI watched promo trailer of Love’s Portrait that Lily’s looks like portrait was painted by Brian Jay “BJ” O’Brien. Whose sent portrait to Lily’s hometown at the museum that’s where she works as Museum Curator at the museum? Lily & her co-workers look up a portrait that looks like Lily that can’t be hers but even someone looks like just like someone related to & a lady sends Lily to Ireland 🇮🇪 to lead her to Post Office that’s where 2 siblings named William & Soairse who work at Post Office when they notice that Lily looks like on the portrait. That’s possible William & Lily bump into each other to turn out to be fate according to his Sister; Soairse. William’s love for Lily?
ReplyDeleteDo you think Hallmark is no longer making mysteries?? They only made 3 this year and there hasn’t been any talk of future ones. Maybe they’ll move over to gac family.
ReplyDeleteAbigail, There is another mystery coming, but Hallmark hasn't announced it officially, yet. (whispering) The new mystery will star Mallory Jansen (On the 12th Date of Christmas).
DeleteMallory Jensen’s character is Francesca “Frankie” Quinn; she uses her Forensic Investigator jacket when I saw it her IG, her mystery movie is actually Heartland Mysteries
Deletethe plot and setting sound interesting
ReplyDeleteWill we see a new Hallmark mystery movies in late 2022 maybe Crossword Mysteries 6 or Chronicle Mysteries 6?
ReplyDeleteThis comment will probably sound silly but why must there be snow in every Christmas movie? I wish these movies would be made with normal climates and not fake snow. Some are made in hot weather with the actors sweating profusely underneath the heavy clothing, and yet, there is snow. Here in the south, snow is rare. U.S.S. Christmas was shot here and Trevor talked a lot about the heat. It takes away from a movie when the actors wear winter clothing and you can see them perspiring. To be honest, it makes me miserable to know how hot they are. Just use whatever weather is happening at the time and make everyone comfortable.
ReplyDeleteThe movie is good but for two people supposedly natives of Ireland they have no accents. My in-laws were immigrants and I know what the accent sounds like.
