In “The Great Christmas Switch,” Kaelynn and Sophia are identical twins who have grown up believing the other has the more glamorous life. Kaelynn sometimes feels unappreciated in her non-stop world of kids and to do’s. Sophia is laid back to the point of paralysis and cannot seem to assemble the basics of life, including a healthy work/life balance and evolved relationships. When Sophia tells her twin she’s had to cancel her Christmas vacation to stay in San Diego to work, Kaelynn jumps at the chance to flee the frost of Ohio to take her sister’s place. With her sister’s kids with their dad for Christmas, Sophia believes her only job will be to watch holiday movies by the fire. Kaelynn feels confident her demanding day-to-day has prepared her for Sophia’s grinchy boss and flaky friends. Then, reality sets in! With the familiar turned upside down, it will take a Christmas miracle to make it all right again.

The foundation will commemorate its centennial this holiday and Lindsay is summoned to the kingdom to plan the celebratory gala. Before she embarks to Veronia, Lindsay meets the charity’s President, Willard, and a pleasant man, Aiden (Fehr), who Lindsay mistakenly believes is the organization’s accountant. Willard persuades Lindsay to join him and two other organizers from the global charity in Veronia. It is there Lindsay discovers the “accountant” is really Crown Prince Aiden who is to ascend the throne after his mother, Queen Rayna. Committed to the mission of the charity, Lindsay proposes a new idea based on a tradition she learned from her grandmother: each Christmas, two gifts must be given. One to keep, one to give. Veronia’s Parliament enthusiastically accepts Lindsay’s proposal for the charity, vowing to change the world in the kindest way. Now Prince Aiden must decide if the commoner from New York who has helped so many may have just stolen his heart.

Emma is an organized assistant, but her job is a dead end in need of a turnaround and her real dream is to be a singer. Who is the actress with dark hair? She looks familiar.
ReplyDeleteThat is actress Sarah Lind, who you may recognize from the "Martha's Vineyard Mysteries" with Jesse Metcalfe. Sarah had blonde hair, of course, in that series, so she looks quite different with dark hair. However, I think she looks lovely with this style, too!
DeleteAwesome news! Keep them coming GAC!
ReplyDeleteChristmas is You sounds a Christmas song called; “All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey
ReplyDeleteAnyone else confused with the Christmas Swap one? I am not looking forward to that one.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the Jen Lilley one!
Misty
Misty, I don't like any swapping movies; especially where one person plays two different characters. Just me, I'm sure. I do like Sarah Lind.
DeleteI like Sarah Lind too but I have to admit I don't really think she and Jesse Metcalfe are a great match in thr Martha's Vineyard Mysteries - Florence
DeleteI hope to get here more often to comment on the upcoming movies. I so appreciate the general thoughts here from other viewers.
ReplyDeleteOh,my! I just discovered that we have GAC already! I am really looking forward to another channel with decent programing.
I am really thrilled to see that Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison are hosting the GAC Christmas Special. I miss Home & Family and the general positivity the show provided.
Maire - We would love to hear more from you; it's always nice to hear another viewpoint. So glad you enjoy the previous reviews shared here - and great to hear you have GAC. So many good movies to look forward to! Thank you for sharing with us! :)
DeleteThese look wonderful!
ReplyDeletedenise
Hmmm......Brendan Fehr as a Crown Prince? - somehow I can't see it - but I'll keep an open mind - Florence
ReplyDeleteThese look so good and I am so excited for all these movies. Keep em coming Bill Abbott and GAC team :)
ReplyDeleteSabrina
Net, I am so happy to read this! These movies all appear to be great. Nice to see Becca Tobin has a Christmas movie this year.
ReplyDeleteIt is almost like the old Hallmark, where you could always count on decent viewing, has moved to GAC. GAC is an answer to prayer! I will never forget how heart broken I felt when Hallmark became diversified; announced anti-God programming. I pray GAC does not let us down.
ReplyDeleteI hope gac movies are truly family friendly, no lying, no taking Gods name in vain, that includes gosh golly jese ect.
ReplyDeleteAs of now I don't have GAC on either FrndlyTV or YouTube TV. I'm really hoping FrndlyTV adds it, as it would be a perfect channel for their lineup. ~ Jennifer R.
ReplyDeleteI am just dreaming and wishing out loud here, but if Hallmark didnt want to do anymore Postable movies after this movie coming up, that GAC pick it up. I would love if they brought back the show, and kept coming up with more letters to deliver and such heartwarming stories.
ReplyDeleteI cant wait for these movies and more that GAC will have for us.
Sabrina
Let's hope GAC have a big enough reach to get good ratings although they seem to be adding more and more outlets.
ReplyDeleteI think we sadly have to accept that the Hallmark we loved is no more -it's not just the PC isuue but even the endings don't seem to have that warm feeling of permanence anymore.
I think the Pascalle Hutton/ Sam Page movie My One And Only was a tester and now more and more there seems to be a question over the endings as to whether something lasting will come of it.
We just watched The 27-Hour Day last night and yet again the ending really only hinted that the relationhip might be long term and lead to marriage whereas before you would never have questioned it - Florence
