DeleteThe Christmas Note also has a military side theme. It's a heartwarming search for a sibling and the very true story of so many soldiers family of not being able to have your father there at Christmas time. But miracles do happen on Hallmark.
ReplyDeleteMelissa - Yes! That's another great Christmas movie with a military storyline. Too bad they didn't include it in the *Salute to Christmas* marathon.
DeleteI was also surprised they didn't include "A Song for Christmas," with Becca Tobin and Kevin McGarry, in the Jam Session marathon today, especially since he is so popular on Hallmark.

Even though there isn't anything new this weekend it looks like there is some good stuff. Thanks for giving us these highlights Net. I like that Hallmark still shows these patriotic movies even if it's a day early this year. hope they never stop supporting our military. If they do that the viewers will be gone for sure.

DeleteWell the closest to my home town was Christmas Camp and The Last Vermont Christmas which was filmed in Rhinebeck NY.

Which Hallmark military themed movies that were filmed in the United States?
ReplyDeleteChris, I know most Hallmark movies film in Canada, but "USS Christmas" starring Jen Lilley and Trevor Donovan was filmed in both North Carolina and South Carolina! Not sure about all the other military themed movies.

Yeah... these movies should have had a special showing this weekend. When Sparks Fly, although it’s not a favorite of mine, did air on Thursday night and I believe Kiss at Pine Lake aired recently too.

DeleteThis is a random question, but do you know if there is a way to request a movie to be made available for purchase on youtube? I really want to watch "cooking with love" on my devices but it seems to be the only hallmark movie not available there. I checked on amazon but to watch there you have to be a member of hallmark movies now, which has been a huge hassle for me and my family in the past. Do you know if it's available somewhere or if there's a way to request it to youtube or something?

Delete"Cooking Up Love" is an UPtv movie - so it will be available through UP's streaming service UP Faith & Family. You may want to take a look at it and see if it's something you might be interested in. I did a quick search and it says "Cooking Up Love" will become available to watch on July 31st.

Also, if you are willing to wait a little longer than that, "Cooking Up Love" will repeat on UPtv on WEDNESDAY, AUG 25 AT 1:00PM ET. I know that seems really far away right now, but I want to be sure you knew your options.

So sorry, the titles are so close and I figured you were referring to the most recent movie.
Delete"Cooking with Love" is probably only available through Hallmark Movies Now; however, I understand that you have problems with that. The movies on YouTube that are free are most likely not uploaded legally since Hallmark owns the rights.
I wish I knew another option for you. Hopefully the Hallmark Channel will play it again sometime.
