As *Christmas in July* ends, the Hallmark Channel has a new movie premiere (non-holiday related) at the end of July. Not sure, yet, what theme this new movie will be under. Could it be a continuation of Summer Nights? A new theme? Or, perhaps, something to do with Vacation or various Locations? "Love, For Real" was filmed in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Storyline via Hallmark: Hayley and her best friend Bree go on a reality dating show to publicize her fashion line, but nothing goes as planned when love, friendship, and careers are on the line.
I've heard some details of who may be in this, but I'm waiting for Hallmark to officially announce. Stay tuned!
So Hallmark Channel will be playing Christmas movies until 9 p.m. on Saturday July 31, Is that true?
ReplyDeleteChris, That's the way it looks to me - unless there are schedule changes, which wouldn't be at all surprising.
DeleteToo bad there doesn't seem to be anything for Independence Day. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, the Hallmark Channel isn't, but Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is doing a patriotic Salute to Christmas on Saturday, July 3rd, with...
Delete“The Christmas Doctor” (6 p.m., ET/PT)
“USS Christmas” (8 p.m., ET/PT)
“Deliver by Christmas” (10 p.m., ET/PT)
Maybe the Hallmark Channel will have some of their non-holiday patriotic movies that day. Let's hope.
Will Love and Sunshine with Danica McKellar and Mark Dekiln count for Patriotic movies?
DeleteChris, Yes, "Love and Sunshine" would definitely count as a non-Christmas Patriotic movie. I was also thinking of "Sister of the Bride."
DeleteThere’s 4th of July movies
DeleteBanner of 4th of July (Family Reunion)
A Kiss at Pine Peak

Crown Media Family Networks EVPs Erin McIlvain & Kristen Roberts Resign
ReplyDeleteEXCLUSIVE: The major overhaul at Hallmark Channel parent Crown Media Family Networkscontinues.
Erin McIlvain, EVP, Content Strategy & Distribution, and Kristen Roberts, EVP, Pricing, Planning & Revenue Management, along with a third, lower-level executive, Manager of Corporate Strategy, tendered their recognitions yesterday, Deadline has learned.
Roberts had been at Crown Media for 17.5 years; McIlvain had done two stints at the company over the past decade for a total of six years.
A spokesperson for Crown Media Family Networks confirmed McIlvain and Roberts’ resignations. “Crown Media’s management team will initiate a search for their replacements,” the rep said in a statement. “In the meantime, the Pricing & Planning team will report into Ed Georger, EVP Ad Sales & Digital Media, while the Distribution team will report to Jon Sichel, General Counsel and EVP, Legal. We thank Erin and Kristen for their contributions to the company.”
The resignations come on the heels of the recent announcement that EVP Programming Michelle Vicary was leaving Crown Media Family Networks where she had been since the company’s inception decades ago. The company also is searching for her replacement.
These are the latest major departures at Crown Media Family Networks since Wonya Lucas took the reins of the company as CEO amid controversy a years ago. She has led a major restructuring, which resulted in layoffs in February. The company also reorganized its marketing operation in March.
Yes, I heard that news... What is really Happening behind-the-scenes???
DeleteI also heard a third “lower-level executive” also resigned, but their name was not revealed. It's sad to see people who have been with the network for many, many years leave like this.
I can't help but wonder what other changes may be coming.
Well, Michelle Vicary had her fingers in the When Calls the Heart snafu, so I'm sure that explains that loss. And the one constant in this life is change. I like that they're portraying traditional friendships on screen and filming more drama, but I don't like the political. Thank goodness I tape everything.
DeleteThis is all very disturbing.
DeleteAn awful lot of things are happening very quickly at Hallmark and I fear for the future.
In a very short time this could be nothing like the Hallmark we have all loved and watched for years - Florence
This is all very disturbing. Hallmark had a very loyal fan base, and they have completely kicked them all in the teeth for getting new viewers that dont even care about Hallmark like the long time viewers did. I dont understand why it had to change. It was working very well before all this and wynona took over. If you want to watch garbage, go to Lifetime, people watch Hallmark for its wholesome movies and shows.
DeleteIs it another movie with Pascale and Kavan? I kind of hope not, I do love them and am looking forward to Aloha this weekend, but would like some variety.
ReplyDeleteI also was worried when i see the 2 names as both women, it isnt same sex. And do we need more reality dating show movies?
Sabrina - Yeah, I don't think they are involved with this one. I'm not sure the storyline appeals to me, either - it kind of depends on who's paired with who.
DeleteChloe Bridges will be playing Hayley and Scott Michael Foster - the 2 Stars.
DeleteWho? Had to google those names. Are we going to see less of the Hallmark regulars as changes are made?
DeleteMaybe Hallmark Channel is bringing back the A Little Romance theme from June of last year for the new movies in August. I'm wondering what will Hallmark Channel do for August now that Summer Nights is in June for 2021.
ReplyDeleteStephen, I like that idea! Plus, I think they should always use that theme when they have new movies that fall between seasons/holidays.
DeleteA Little Romance movies just before Fall Harvest movies in September 2021
DeleteNot too certain about this plot, sounds boring to me.
ReplyDeleteGoing to be interesting going forward.
