I hope you are ready to jump into Christmas movies this weekend - with lots of good ole Christmas classics and NEW Christmas movies, too! I can hardly believe we are getting SEVEN new ones - this weekend alone from 3 different networks! About 10 years ago - that might be close to the total number we would have had for the entire Christmas season! Are you planning to watch/record them all? I'm going to try to catch as many as possible.

*Please Note: I have NOT pre-screened these NEW Christmas movies; therefore, I do not know if they all will be family friendly. If you catch any content of concern, please share in comments. I know all who visit here would appreciate it very much.

I'm so looking forward to flipping back & forth between the stations to see so many Christmas movie favorites from over the years! HO, HO, HOpe you enjoy watching, too! The Most Wonderful Time of the Year is Here!!!

Joyous Christmas Blessings! Net

  1. I am most looking forward to Chateau Christmas and next Jingle Bell Bride. All the others I am not interested in watching. Plus, that one Lifetime movie Forever Christmas is not new and I saw some of it and didn't like it at all.

I’m still working my way through some of the fall films my daughter and I recorded, and after Halloween, we will begin our Christmas watching. She is only 14, but she introduced me to Hallmark movies and I’m so glad she did! I feel blessed she enjoys sweet movies like these. I’m going to have her subscribe to your website as well. Thanks for your hard work- you do a better job than the Hallmark emails themselves!πŸ˜‰

    1. A lot of these are movies that last year, they played on Hallmark Drama. Now for some reason Drama only plays one movie a day and some of these are on that list meaning we will only see them once this year. I am really not excited this year for any of hallmark stuff cause last year I relied on Drama channel so I didn't have to see Christmas at Graceland or Christmas at the Plaza every time I turned on hallmark. Hallmark and HMM play the same NEW movies over and over and at 4 am they play the older and BETTER movies.

Luckily I saw Fir Crazy this AM while I was getting ready for work. I am sure I wont see that many more times cause there are 40 NEW Christmas movies to go with the 40 new 2019 and 2018 movies that will be played all the time. I don't understand why they can't keep the drama channel with the older movies for us that DONT LIKE the new stuff.

I didn't have a chance to watch even one of those new movies this weekend. and when I had a chance, I couldn't make myself watch one of those, instead I watched Air Disasters. I am on the edge of being done with hallmark, I didn't even watch one Fall Harvest movie, only pieces of one of them. But at least Hallmark picked up new fans and from those stellar ratings I see for every new movie, they likely don't care about the long time viewers.

    2. Sabrina, you are so right. There are so many wonderful Christmas classics that won't air either at all or nearly as much this year. There's just something about the old movies that feels peaceful and comfortable - like a pair of slippers and comfy jammies.

I was hesitant when watching Christmas movies over the weekend, but I enjoyed "Christmas Tree Lane" and I'm halfway through "Christmas on Ice."

I really liked "Christmas Tree Lane." It was fun and lighthearted... it was nice to see two people just meet and start to like each other. There's also a bit of throwback to Christmas past that makes this story extra charming.

Alicia and Andrew were sweet together. I do think he has a bit more chemistry with say, Nikki DeLoach or Bethany Joy Lenz, but they were still a lot of fun to watch. Maybe you can give it a try sometime and let me know what you think.

  8. I am so happy there are so many new Christmas movies to look forward to this season, especially in light of this crazy year. I could live with most things being canceled this year, but having no tree lightings, Christmas parades, Christmas festivals, or Christmas concerts to go to is a more bitter pill to swallow, and knowing there will be multiple NEW Christmas movies to enjoy every weekend for the rest of the year helps soften the blow a lot.

I'm most looking forward to Chateau Christmas and Christmas Tree Lane this weekend, because I always enjoy Luke Macfarlane and Andrew Walker.

Thanks, Net, as always, for working so hard to keep us up to date with movie news and providing a fun and safe space to come and share in the joy of the season and the appreciation of wholesome movies!

    1. Thank YOU for your sweet message. I'm so glad to know you enjoy visiting here and seeing my Christmas Schedule each holiday season. This year I am doing it a little differently. As you know, I used to include all of the movies 24/7. That was such a time-consuming task and often schedules would change and I was constantly checking, re-checking and changing as soon as I could. Well, this year due to that and some of the movies not being as family-friendly as they were in the past, I've decided to make the schedule focused on the new movies mainly, but I will also be including "It's a Wonderful Life" (assuming NBC is still airing it) and other cherished Christmas classics. I'm just not doing the 24/7 movies on the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Lifetime, etc... I hope you understand.

You can see my 2020 Christmas TV Schedule - HERE. You might want to bookmark it or add it to your favorites list, because I'll be adding to it throughout the Christmas season, and you'll want to be sure to check back for any updates or changes.

Again, thank you for your thoughtful, sweet comment. Blessings on your day! :)

I recall recently there was a commercial promo for "Love in the Forecast" where it appeared Cindy Busby and Christopher Russell were dancing in the barn. It looked like a cute scene, but when the movie aired - unfortunately, there wasn't any dancing in the barn. It's unfortunate some potentially wonderful scenes are edited out to make room for commercial breaks.

  23. Net,

I am not sure if you have heard about this or not, but Christmas House, which premieres on November 22 as part of CtC (Countdown to Christmas) features a gay couple. Apparently, the two children of a family’s patriarch, played by Treat Williams, return home for the holiday. One of the sons, played by Johnathan Bennett, and his husband share the news that they are anxiously awaiting a call concerning the adoption of their first child. I for one and very disappointed in the direction Hallmark seems to be going. Have you heard anything about the particular element in the movie?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Thank you Anonymous for making sure I had heard of this. I am aware of the direction Hallmark is sadly taking. I have the list of movies HERE with a warning on this movie and "A Christmas Tree Grows in Colorado." I am currently unaware of others with this sort of content, but there may be more.

That was so thoughtful of you to comment and share this information. Please, if you hear any thing else, at all, please feel free to share here with us. Again, Thank you! Bless you!!!

    2. Thank you for the reply, Net. I so very much appreciate the warnings that you give on your blog. I was not aware of similar content in “A Christmas Tree Grows in Colorado;” this is now a movie I will not be viewing. It is truly a shame that we now have to pre-screen movies that are supposed to be airing on a family- friendly network.
I know from last year’s movie “Twinkle All the Way” and this year’s commercial that Lifetime, a channel that I once considered a second Hallmark, is also and has been promoting the LGBTQ agenda. So disappointing, I have enjoyed in the past watching movies from both these channels, but now am unsure if I can continue to support them. Once again thank you very much for all you do, I truly appreciate it.

Oh my! Those ratings don't sound too good. "A Cheerful Christmas" wasn't exactly their best. I think a lot of people are hesitant to watch knowing how Hallmark is making all of these changes. Plus, with every thing going on in the world and the upcoming election, I'm sure a lot of people are staying in tuned to news programs instead of movies right now. I know I'm personally watching a mix of both.

Maybe most people plan to watch later on after they learn what's good - around Thanksgiving and into December.

It sure will be interesting to see how ratings are throughout the holiday season.

    1. I love all of Candace's movies... She played a character with the name "Lauren" in "Christmas Under Wraps" and "Christmas Town." I hadn't realized that, Chris, until you mentioned it. How fun!

Wouldn't it be cute if she did a Christmas movie with the name DJ or Donna Jo??? (her character name on "Full House")
