  1. Ooh. It's been a long time since Hallmark's had an Amish movie. If pictures are any indication, this looks good.

  2. Quite looking forward to this - something a bit different for Hallmark.

  3. I hope they don't miss represent Amish and Plain People like in most movies.

    1. Personally, I think they just portrayed the loke Amish everyone thinks - quaint people with their quilts. I live not far from Ohio's Amish country. They are allowed to have electricity in their businesses and they are quite used to cars and modern amenities. They also have propane operated appliances in many orders so it's still stereotypical rather than more realistic. The script plods along at times and the scenarios are predictable. The scenery is great and it's nice to see something not filmed in British Columbia.

  7. Unless Isaac is a widower, he would not have a beard. Unmarried Amish men do not have beards. And Amish women do not have bangs hanging down on their forehead.

    1. Isaac is a widower and Kathrina is kindof no longer Amish. She left to enter the "English" world and is back for a few days. A lovely, lovely movie and a MUST WATCH.

  8. Galadriel Stineman & Kevin Joy will be on H&F tomorrow to talk about “Follow Your Heart”

Debbie said “From the Heart”, not mention “”Follow Your Heart”

  9. Kathy Yoder (Stineman) has returned to the Amish hometown that she left a while back. She is back to help settle her dad’s affairs. She had given up her Amish ways and found success as a travel guide writer. Back at home, life is again quiet and contemplative.

Her new city life means cell phones and FOMO. Kathy is always plugged in and tuned out of the life around her. Now, she is home and is forced to unplug those addictive devices. Are they helping her life, or are they a worthless trap?

When she runs into her childhood friend and love, Issac (Joy) she has to make some tough decisions on whether she can leave again. Did she find what she was looking for in the outside world. Or, does her heart belong home?

This is not your typical Hallmark movie and ending. Prepare to be a bit surprised.

    2. Not true. It was a very lovely chat and they were very comfortable with each other. They both talked mainly about their 2 sons who were also in the movie.

Wow!! why would someone make up such a statement. Sad.
