This Easter, Resurrection Sunday, will be unlike Easter Sundays past, as many churches will only be meeting on-line and families (mine included) will not be gathering, as usual, for a special dinner or Easter egg hunt.
In years past, I have always looked forward to this Sunday, seeing everyone all dressed up, the ladies wearing pretty springy colored dresses, the gentlemen wearing suits or polos, the children wearing adorable outfits with bunnies embroidered on their collars and generally everyone looking their Sunday best as we hear the good news that Jesus has risen!
And while the day itself this year will certainly be different, the message remains the same...
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life."
~John 3:16 KJV
That is the HOPE that I cling to and believe in with all of my heart. I have faith that The Lord will see us through this challenging time.
In the meantime, as we pray and wait through this phase, with many of us staying at home, here are some family-friendly programs you may enjoy watching this weekend to uplift your spirit... including "When Hope Calls," which is pictured here...

I hope you all have a healthy and Happy Easter weekend!
I've been thinking of you all as we go through this time. My heart is with those staying at home and those being careful when they leave their home for work or groceries.
Even though we are social distancing in person, it's also been a good time to stay socially in close contact via technology with family and friends, and I'm sure many will be doing just that this Easter Sunday.
I will be watching church services online with some of my family, and I plan to watch Christian evangelist and missionary Franklin Graham's Easter service this Sunday morning on Fox News at 10AM/9c.
I will be rejoicing this Easter Sunday that Jesus is Risen!
Because of Christ's great sacrifice on the cross, I am grateful and humbled that I am forgiven of my sins.
May the Light of our risen Lord touch your heart and shine on you...
Prayer of Salvation:
"God, I know I am a sinner.
I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross.
I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me.
I now receive Jesus as my Savior.
I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins,
the gift of salvation and everlasting life,
because of Your merciful grace.
In Jesus name, I pray...
Amen."
.
What a wonderful post Net, and with the prayer of Salvation at the end! What a testimony you are for Christ!!!

I know... unfortunately, these film productions had to be shut down or postponed once the virus hit Canada and the United States. I'm praying things will get better and hopefully everyone will safely be able to go back to work soon.
DeleteDearest, Net, thank you for another heartfelt, inspiring, uplifting post especially needed in these critical times. You bring light to all of us at the end of a long dark tunnel that I pray will cease soon! I'm so happy you included the sinners prayer for many to pray or re-new their pledge to our Lord, God Almighty. As we celebrate Easter in a way that many of us have never done before let us keep our eyes on the "One" who died for us, forgave our sins and will keep us safe from all evil!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry I missed your birthday, Net, and look forward to the day you get to celebrate properly with your family with lots of love, hugs and kisses!! Peace to you and all our IAWM family.
Hello my dear friend, Linda! I think whenever I receive a message from you, it's like God's way of sending me a warm hug! Speaking of bringing light - you always glow with the radiance of God's love!
DeleteThank you so much for the sweet birthday wishes! Even though Easter has now passed, I pray you are blessed with His joy, and warmed by His everlasting love!
Take care and be safe! You are such a dear friend to me and everyone here in this IAWM family! God bless you always!!! :)
Elizabeth could go with that she’s searching for Nathan by riding his horse named Newton
ReplyDeleteElizabeth & Nathan could find the kids out the woods
Nathan is smitten with ELIZABETH WHOSE he DIDN'T WANT TO SEE HER GET HURT OR COULD DIE
ReplyDeleteThe way Nathan and Elizabeth interact with each other reminds me of the way Jack talked to her.
Nathan is starting to sound like Jack.
Nathan, Elizabeth, Allie and Jack to be a family
Nice to see Jack from much earlier episodes doing the same thing that Nathan is doing right now & Elizabeth is the reason for both
Elizabeth actually still has feelings for Nathan
Elizabeth has shown a particular interest in Nathan. She seeks him out, asks him where he’s going, and even flirts with him in a simple, shy kind of way.
Nathan as Elizabeth’s next suitor.
Elizabeth with her students trying to take shelter from a dangerous windstorm & Nathan comes to her rescue
Well that brought back memories, when jack was on the porch watching Elizabeth, Nathan was doing the same thing,
ReplyDeleteNathan is smitten with Elizabeth whose he didn’t want to see her to get hurt or could have died because he’s so upset with her for what’s in the world is she thinking
ReplyDeletetranslation: Afraid losing you
Elizabeth opens the door and it’s Nathan
Nathan & Elizabeth are perfect match
Nathan is better suited for Elizabeth
Nathan takes risk his life for Elizabeth
Nathan is so sweet with Elizabeth
Both Nathan & Elizabeth are both writing in the journals
Rosemary need to set Elizabeth up with Nathan
Nathan’s pure heart makes him a good match for Elizabeth
Nathan l loved you saying what’s in your heart Elizabeth
The way Nathan and Elizabeth interact with each other reminds me of the way Jack talked to her.
Nathan is starting to sound like Jack
Three reasons Nathan would be a good fit for Baby Jack & Elizabeth—1. Nathan needs Elizabeth. 2. Nathan is dependable. 3. Elizabeth makes Nathan a better person.
The look between Nathan and Elizabeth....it reminds me of Jack and Elizabeth.....there is something special bonding between Elizabeth and Nathan
I was thinking the same, similar emotions going on here between Elizabeth and Nathan that were there between Jack and Elizabeth in the beginning of their relationship.
Nathan & Elizabeth have feelings each other
Nathan has strong feelings for Elizabeth
I love the chemistry between Nathan and Elizabeth!
This relationship between Elizabeth and Nathan.
I can't wait for Nathan, Elizabeth, Allie and Jack to be a family
Elizabeth and Nathan would be a beautiful couple. She has little Jack he has Allie they both can help raise them both
Nathan is starting to sound like Jack
Elizabeth likes Nathan better anyway
There is so much chemistry between Nathan & Elizabeth and they would make a perfect family with Allie & Jack
Bill & Elizabeth talking about Nathan & Jack!
Dearest, sweet, Jim....look at you, lifting hearts everywhere...well done!!
ReplyDeleteNathan was a man of few words in the beginning..
ReplyDeleteRemember?
He's so in love with Elizabeth he was angry she put herself in danger on the mt.
Jeanette Oke, author of the book WCTH was ABOUT a school teacher from east, going to harsh western Canada and falling in love with a Mountie
I am #TeamNathan but I love the tussle between the two
ReplyDeleteLucas gave Elizabeth a night that is reminiscent of her wealthy life in Hamilton.
I think Nathan would remind her more of her life with Jack.
Why is Elizabeth trying so hard to get Nathan to tell her how he feels about her???? Does she have to know before she can make a decision. If she prefers Nathan then just tell him how she feels and let Lucas move on. Lucas needs someone who can appreciate all he has to offer.
If Elizabeth chooses Lucas over Nathan I am done with this show it has not been the same without Jack, but she needs to be with Nathan he is a better match . I hate to feel this way but a lot of people feel the same.
I rewatched the 1st episodes w/Elizabeth & Jack. And the similarities between Nathan and Elizabeth and Jack and Elizabeth are all to real. They both had disagreements, they both saved Elizabeth, they both had times when it was hard to express their feelings and both were jealous
Team Nathan is there best one for Elizabeth not Lucas the bar businessman Nathan's great with kids Lucas on other hand doesn't look comfortable around kids really Nathan's the obvious choice
Reminds me a little of Season 1 fights between Elizabeth & Jack. Sparks! #TeamNathan
ReplyDeleteYay, #TeamNathan, pulling for ya! Last night was unbelievably good between you two -- Nathan & Elizabeth -- so excited to see how the rest of their story unfolds!
I’m feeling a 4th quarter comeback by Nathan will end this game w/ a Hail Mary win
Happy beyond words! Nathan and Elizabeth were just "W O W" tonight.
The way I see it is Nathan is really in love with Elizabeth and seeing her in a place were she might be hurt put him real anxious and nervous.
Later when they were back home he was going to talk to her, but he was interrupted and couldn’t explain. #TeamNathan all the way!!
And I’ll be much happier when Nathan will have a date with Elizabeth!!!!! Hope it will be next Sunday!
#TeamNathan
#TeamNathan PRETTY PLEASE!! He's just so sweet
Elizabeth needs to be with Nathan
I bet she will choose Nathan! ##teamnathan #Hearties
Jim, that is so sweet! I agree with Linda... you always uplift us all here. It's good to make the best we possibly can out of this situation! Enjoy your chocolate bunnies! :)
