During the opening segment of today's "Home & Family," Hallmark Channel's morning program, Cameron Mathison (who is one of the main hosts) announced he will be leaving the show for the next few weeks. He quickly reassured the viewers it would be for a very good reason, and then he excitedly shared the news... he's making a new Hallmark Christmas movie!!!
Cameron's previous Hallmark Christmas movies include:
Window Wonderland
Murder She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery
A Christmas to Remember
This is truly wonderful news for those of us - who already love Cameron Mathison's Hallmark movies! And, it's obvious Cameron loves making Hallmark movies too, especially Christmas! He has enthusiastically shared on H&F numerous times his own personal favorite movie line, which is from The Christmas Ornament, where he stretches out his arms and looks to the sky into the snow falling down and joyfully shouts, "I LOVE CHRISTMAS!" It really is such a fun, memorable scene! Everything about it - expresses the pure exhilaration of Christmas! No matter our age, we're all a child, at heart, at Christmastime!
Besides Cameron Mathison, other Hallmark stars, including: Danica McKellar, Rachel Boston, and Eric Mabius, have shared - they, too, will be working on Christmas projects soon! I'll be sure to share more details on these when official news is released! Until then, stay tuned!

ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so glad this news about Cameron's new Christmas movie brought joy to your day! He is always fun to watch on Home & Family and in his Hallmark movies! Especially Christmas!
DeleteI pray you'll have a restful year as you recover from your back surgery. I'm sure it will be nice to have all of these new movies to help pass the time.
Blessings to you! Net
I am happy to see Cameron in another Christmas movie! I enjoyed his recent Fall Harvest installment, as well as last year's Summer Nights and Countdown to Valentine's Day films. "The Christmas Ornament" is one of my all-time favorite Hallmark movies, even 6 years after it premiered.
ReplyDeleteAlso, don't forget that Hallmark Christmas movie stalwart Alicia Witt has also said -- several times, to people who asked -- that she, too, is doing another Hallmark Christmas movie this year. Her answer has not changed, and she keeps getting asked! She usually seems to film her movies somewhere between August and October, so I would guess that her shoot will be happening soon. If she doesn't announce it at the upcoming TCA, then maybe it will be announced shortly thereafter, via EW or ET. I don't know if the one she is doing this year is the same one she has been developing and co-writing for the last 2-1/2+ years or if it is a totally different one, but she IS doing a new one!
Oh yes... Alicia Witt is another Hallmark regular I'm anticipating seeing in something new this year! Each year she always surprises me with her unique films. Sometimes, she has me laughing like crazy (like in "A Very Merry Mix-Up" or "Christmas List"), and other times, she's rather serious (like in "The Mistletoe Inn" or "Christmas in Honeysuckle Lane").
DeleteI can't wait to see what she announces this year!!! :)
What’s about other regular Hallmark actors & actresses will do Hallmark Christmas movies expect for Alicia Witt, Paul Greene, David Alpay, Kevin McGarry, Autumn Reeser, David Haydn-Jones, Erin Cahill, etc.?
ReplyDeleteGreat News!! Love him!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Cameron Mathison will be in another Hallmark Christmas movie. I just finished watching The Christmas Ornament (one of my favorites). I am lovin' the Christmas in July movies, Net. Seeing all the snow and cold, it's a nice change from all the Summer heat we've been having.
ReplyDeleteHappy July!

I really love Cameron. The Christmas Ornament is an all time fave of mine.
ReplyDeleteI am look forward to all the Christmas movies by Hallmark and I watch them all year not just at chridstmas.
Great news! So excited that Eric Mabius will be back in a Hallmark project. I hope we see more Postables installments! My favorite Hallmark stars are Brennan Elliott, Cameron Matheson, Ryan Peavey, Andrew Walker, Jen Lilley, Rachel Boston, Danica McKellar, Lacey Chabert, Candace Cameron-Bure, Erin Krakow, Jill Wagner, Taylor Cole, Autumn Reeser, Alexa/Carlos Penavega....the list goes on and on! I'm having a tough time warming up to the new generation of youngsters (I'm a great grandmother!) starring in Hallmark projects. I just need to give them a chance! Thanks for keeping us so well-informed.
ReplyDeleteHello DeborahC!!! That's a wonderful list of Hallmark favorites - I love every one of them too! Plus, about 80% of those you mentioned have already filmed or will be filming soon - a new Hallmark Christmas movie!

ReplyDeletewhile Home &Family is not my favorite show, I do love Cameron in movies, have loved him since his days on All My Children. Will be looking forward to his Christmas movie, I wish he could be in more movies, but I am sure H&F takes up a lot of his time. I enjoyed him and Catherine Bell together, wouldn't mind seeing them together again. And a dream movie would be him and Alison Sweeney :)
ReplyDeleteI’d like to see Brett Dalton do more movies for Hallmark. Also, Rachel Leigh Cook, Tom Everett Scott, & Dylan Neal too
ReplyDeleteSaw a few days ago SSD is moving to Hallmark Drama. We upgraded our tv package to get HMM. And now they are moving it again. Hallmark please reconsider. Many of us have watched SSD since it was on every week. We are on a fixed income and will not be able to continue to watch the show. RG
ReplyDeleteNet, any word on more hallmark movies coming on dvd. Hoping for Pearl in Paradise and a lot more Christmas movies. Still hoping they can figure out a way to get Window Wonderland, Matchmaker Santa and Farewell Mr. Kringle on dvd. Bless you Net for all your hard work. It is appreciated more than you know. RG
ReplyDeleteI saw on Amazon several new Christmas movies are coming out October 1st. Once Upon a Christmas Miracle (yippee), Christmas Homecoming (yippee!), Christmas at Pemberly Manor (yippee), Christmas at Grand Valley, Miss Christmas, Home for Christmas Day, A Veterans Christmas, and Marrying Father Christmas.
