  1. Susie Abromeit played the perfect "bad girl" role in "Snow Bride" so it'll be good to see her in a positive part in "A Perfect Christmas"!! Can't wait for "Christmas in July"!!

  3. I really enjoyed "A Perfect Christmas", it was great Susie in another Hallmark movie, I hope she does more Hallmark movies. I loved that the main couple was married. I wish Hallmark would do more movies highlighting married couples, instead of the tried and true concept of boy meet girl or girl meets boy, fall in love and a happy ending. I also loved the storyline of the whole family from both sides coming together to celebrate the Holidays. It was also wonderful seeing Rachel Wilson in another Hallmark movie, it's been sometime since Baby's First Christmas. I give two thumbs up for this movie, and I hope Hallmark will put this movie on DVD.

I prefer the romances, to be honest -- whether comedic or dramatic, I prefer the movies where people find love, especially against a lovely holiday backdrop.

This movie was cute -- but not my favorite. I like Susie, and I like all the family members. I thought there was a lot going on in the story (Christmas concert, job loss, pregnancy, family descending on the house and needing to set up sleeping arrangements, the sister's boyfriend troubles, lost luggage, the mother-in-law issues, accidentally cancelled hotel reservations, burnt lasagna, etc.) -- but I could have dealt with all of that better if the revelations of the pregnancy and the job loss had not been drawn out so long. I just wanted them to spit out the news and move on.

Everyone was likable in the movie, though! And the house was very festive and Christmasy.

  5. I recorded this in July, but honestly couldn't bring myself to watch it then- I saved it for November! I liked this movie a lot. I agree with the poster above that it was nice to see a married couple be the focus in this one. I'm a fan of Erin Gray from way back when she was on Silver Spoons. I'll be re-watching this one! Attractive leads, cool plot.

    1. Loved Silver Spoons, too! Great show!

This movie was refreshingly different, but good. Had some terrific comedic moments, lighthearted, and fun! Erin Gray is wonderful in it! Hope to see her more on Hallmark!

  6. I would love to get more info about the song that played while everyone was sleeping. It had the line "It's Christmas everyday of the year".

    1. I think I found the lyrics/songwriter for the song, but not the version/recording featured in the film:

Christmas Every Day of the Year Lyrics
      Rick Lang

All those colored lights are blinkin’ on the Christmas tree.
The joyful sound of carols fill the air.
I can’t help think, oh how wonderful this world would be…
If it were Christmas every day of the year!

We’ve been doin’ some last minute decoratin’.
The stockings, they have all been hung with care.
We’ll leave some milk and cookies on the kitchen table.
In hopes that ol’ Santa will appear.
      *CHORUS

I wish these Winter Holidays were never ending.
I’d keep my cup filled up with that Yuletide cheer.
But for now I think I’ll just go on pretending…
That it’s Christmas every day of the year.

When the mornin’ comes we’ll open up the presents.
There’s sure to be a smile on every face.
Oh there’ll be ribbon, bows and pretty Christmas paper…
      Scattered all over the place.
      *CHORUS

I wish these Winter Holidays were never ending.
Give me a heapin’ helpin’ of that Yuletide cheer.
So please don’t mind if I just keep on pretending…
That it’s Christmas every day of the year.
