  1. The one downside if these movies for me is Yannick Bisson as Aurora's boyfriend.

There's really not a lot of chemistry between them, they're just like comfortable friends.

    1. I agree! CCB is great but the romance/chemistry is just not there w Yannick Bison.

    2. I love Yannick on the show...big fan of him since Murdoch Mysteries. Perhaps CCB strong faith and devotion to her husband doesnt allow for more chemistry and romance between the characters.

    3. At first glance, I couldn't help thinking of an Oompa-Loompa....just sayin.

  2. I'm a huge fan of Yannick Bison so I'm loving him in these. Hope he sticks around

  4. I agree with joyce. I really like yannick bisson as auroras love interest. They make a great match.

  5. I read ahead of the book series synopses and I'm VERY curious to see if Martin's fate will be carried out in the movie series to mirror the book series. This hint at Robin makes me wonder if it will.

  6. I really enjoy and look forward to these Aurora Teagarden mysteries. My sister, brother, and I watch these together when it comes on air. These are our favorites of the Hallmark mysteries, and among our favorite TV movies to watch. I'll let my siblings know to watch out for this upcoming one. Thanks for the heads up!

  7. New Aurora movie looks good Sunday night, but can't watch. Wife will be watching When Calls the Heart. Okay, I'll be watching WCTH, too. Guess we'll have to watch a repeat time.

  8. I like Yannick Bisson, but feel like he's cheating on Sue Thomas, a show with strong chemistry. ๐Ÿ˜„

  9. Wish more of them would come out on DVD so we could buy them!

  10. Why do they put so much eyeliner on Yannick Bisson? It really creeps me out - too much makeup!

  11. I love these cozy mysteries so much but I felt like it was sooooo obvious who did it this time .

    1. I felt exactly the same way, Jen!!!

      I guessed right away and then I had my eye on "the one I thought did it" all along, and like you, I was right! The person I suspected was "the one." {Sigh...}

Overall, it was an interesting mystery, and some unexpected things happened, (for example: Arthur's incident), but, like you, Jen... I wish I could've been a bit more surprised on the who-dun-it!!!

      Thanks for commenting!!! :)

    2. Yes! I mean there are many times where I think I know but they don't usually make it SO obvious!

    3. Ugh. Our PVR recording cut out with 30 minutes left so we don't know who the killer is! I was thinking Pete.

      Delete
    4. Actually, it wasn't Pete Lambert, although he seemed to really have it out for Martin.

Do you want me to tell you??? There's an encore airing Friday April 30 6:00 PM (5pm central)

  12. Okay - what happened to detective Lambert after he held Martin hostage?

    1. I'm still wondering the very same thing! Detective Lambert used some pretty harsh, illegal methods of interrogating. Hope we get answers on that in the next movie!!! :)

  13. Also want to know if they will follow the plotline if the book series. I will be a little irritated if they don't. I found it odd that they advertised the next movie to be out in May, but didn't release the title.

    1. Yes, they promoted the Next New Aurora Movie during "Dead Over Heels" and it will premiere on Mother's Day, May 14th! As for the title, the working title for this movie has been "A Fool and His Honey: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery," but since they didn't announce that during the promo commercial - I'm wondering if it might change!?!? We will have to keep a look out for that!!!

    1. Oh, it is cute! Wish I knew! There is one similar at Macys by Calvin Klein. I just checked and it was originally $400 and it is now 50% off! Here's a link - if you want to check it out! I just happened to see it there!

I do know Candace's cute ivory cable knit hat is by CC and you can get that at Amazon! I just checked and it is under $15! I already own one myself just like it! It is super fun and warm for the wintery months!

Hope you are able to find Candace's coat or one similar that you like!!! Thank you for commenting!!! :)

    2. I just asked Hallmark to give us a shopping list for the great clothes and accessories in the series. I want her purse and the tote bag Sally carried in the last two movies.

      Delete
    3. The big lavender purse is by Nine West.

  15. Does anyone out there know where the real life location is of the farmhouse that is used as Auroras house in this movie and the Julius House movie? It was also used in the Hallmark movie 'All of my heart'. I've tried searching online but keep coming up empty handed. I'm a film location nerd and enjoy visiting film locations. I just live across the border from Vancouver and I would REALLY LOVE to see this house in person! Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I just LOVE this website and appreciate the hard work that goes into it. I used it during the Christmas holiday season last year. What a great resource!!!

    1. Good catch, H.R.! So, that's the name of the next Aurora movie coming May 14th! Hallmark promoted it during "Dead Over Heels," but they didn't give the title at that time.

      Thank you for sharing! :)

  18. Why isn't Arthur still chief of police in A Bundle of Trouble? Did I miss something at the end of Dead Over Heels?

    1. There is a very brief mention in the beginning of the movie that Arthur was moved to homicide and Lynn is now the chief.

I personally loved Arthur as the chief, over Lynn... since she is, sometimes, a bit arrogant and Arthur is so humble. I'm not sure why the writers decided to change that up, but in any case... Arthur is still so much fun to watch in whatever role he takes on at the police department.

      Thank you for commenting!!!

    2. But he was made chief in the last movie. Yes he got wounded but that had nothing to do with how he would be as chief. Why was he demoted? He obviously has the best people skills & that is a much needed quality in a chief of police . He is by far the best candidate but then there wouldn't be as much drama between Lynn and Aurora

      Delete
    3. Yes, Arthur is the one who is initially named Chief, but he turns it down and Lynn is given the position. She seems to fit that authoritative role very well. Almost too well! :)

  19. What happened between Aida Teagarden and John Queensland? Weren't they dating and he proposed several times? This new movie shows her possibly going to date a new man.

    1. It is explained in the beginning of the movie, "Last Scene Alive," that John has simply moved to be nearer to his grandchildren and Aida says she couldn't imagine herself ever marrying John, anyway. So, that's that, I suppose. I think there's always the possibility that John could return though in a later movie. Let's hope! I loved John (Bruce Dawson) in the Aurora series! And, I very much missed Sally, too, in "Last Scene Alive" and the comedic relief her character adds to the series!

    2. What happened to Sally

    3. The actress had a previous commitment during the filming of this movie, but I'm happy to share Sally will be returning in future Aurora movies!!!

  20. In Last Scene Alive it felt as though the show is prepping for Martin Bartell's character to leave. Will he continue to be cast in the Aurora Teagarden series?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Unfortunately, no. Candace Cameron Bure revealed this will be Yannick Bisson's last Aurora movie.

The movie was geared to be Martin's last one.

  21. Anyone know the why behind the actors' leave? I understand how the writers wrote the characters of Martin, John, and Sally out of the series. But I wonder why in the world did they (Writers, producers, actors) do that? Did the actors want to do something else, was there a conflict with another project, a quarrel, money issues, etc? I am always curious why so many good things change, especially after viewers are so happy with the progression of the characters! One minute a favorite is couple is hinting at marriage or planning to marry and the next? Well, lets just kick the guy out! :(

    1. I'm sure there is a lot that goes into making this decision. Writers have to work around a story that is already in a book series (albeit, they do change it around some!) and actors have various projects they are already committed to. Whatever the case, I know this is disappointing news for all fans of the Aurora & Martin "Roe"-mance!

  22. Do anyone know how Lynn Smith got to be Chief when her husband was made chief in one of the shows?

    1. Arthur is initially named Chief (loved that scene!), but he ultimately turns it down and Lynn is given the position.

  23. I’m confused about Lynn taking over Arthur as Chief of Police as well. Can you tell me which episode (beginning or end) where it shows, or refers to, Arthur giving it up?
Ughhh, ……. Lynn!!! That actress plays that part soooo well, right??!

    1. Caroline, I looked this up again to refresh my memory on what exactly happened.

In "Dead Over Heels," after Captain Burns is murdered, Arthur is appointed the new Chief of Police.

In the next movie, "Bundle of Trouble," (almost 9 minutes in) Aurora and Martin walk up to Arthur and Lynn at a party and Martin says, "Hey, Arthur, I hear you got moved from robbery to homicide now that your lovely wife is the new chief."

And Arthur says, "Yep, here's hoping I'll be bored for awhile," and chuckles. Then he looks at his wife who gives him a disapproving look and he says, "or not," and laughs kind of nervously.

It gives the idea that Arthur was not happy in that role and never wanted that leadership position. Even in Dead Over Heels he seems blindsided by questions over the investigation and a bit overwhelmed.

Yes, Lynn (Miranda Frigon) is excellent in that role. She plays it all too well.
