❤️🏈✨Kick Off Your February Weekend with LightHEARTed Rom-Coms, When Calls the Heart, Classic Christmas Movies, and More to Love!

Happy first full weekend of February, everyone! πŸ’•

February is the month of Valentine’s Day, cozy romances, and a little extra heart! And this weekend is packed with lots of it!

This Saturday, the Hallmark Channel kicks off February with its very first Loveuary movie, while Great American Family is airing the cable premiere of a sweet, lighthearted, romantic-comedy.

And not only is romance in the air, it’s also *Game On* this weekend with the Olympics and the Super Bowl.

A quick reminder for all of you, Hearties... When Calls the Heart will air episode 6 a day early on Saturday, due to the Super Bowl game on Sunday.

A really sweet thing about this upcoming episode is that the new Mountie visiting Hope Valley is Austin Landon, son of When Calls the Heart Producer Michael Landon, Jr., and grandson of Michael Landon (Little House on the Prairie, Bonanza). With both his father and grandfather having roles in period dramas, it’s wonderful to see Austin continue the family tradition. (Austin is pictured above in a Mountie uniform next to Kevin McGarry.)

I also wanted to mention that Melissa Gilbert (Little House on the Prairie) is also supposed to return for this episode, although she is not included in any of the press photos or promos released for this episode.

On Sunday afternoon, Great American Family will warm hearts with the Great American Rescue Bowl, featuring the most adorable dogs and cats in need of adoption and a “fur”ever home- hosted by Beth Stern and Trevor Donovan. 🐾❤️

See all of the details for these programs, plus Christmas movie classics, and more, below…

  1. will be watching the Olympics. Hope Hallmark is ready for all the backlash they will definitely get for not cutting Melissa's scenes. -Maria

    1. they shouldn't cut her scenes. she's done nothing wrong. I don't think most of the audience that watches wants her scenes removed from what I've seen. if they removed her scenes, the episode wouldn't make sense & there would be holes...they can't re-do an episode over a few weeks to remove someone & the money aspect is a huge factor there too.

    2. I agree with anonymous! Why should they cut Melissa's scenes because of something her husband did?? That's like saying the convicted bank robber's spouse should go to prison too!!

    3. That's unfair. She has done nothing wrong. She needs support not punishment. Not her fault.

    4. They did not cut her scenes and I’m so glad. That last episode was soooo good and it was neat having her and Michael Landon’s grandson on the episode!! I can’t wait to watch the next one. The seasons get better and better every year and this one’s amazing!!!

  3. In When Calls the Heart Season 13, Episode 6, Melissa Gilbert reprises her role as Georgie McGill, bringing a new polygraph machine to Hope Valley to help solve a mystery related to recent wildfires. The episode features a romantic reunion between Georgie & Bill Avery (Jack Wagner).

Role & Storyline: As Inspector Georgie McGill, she brings "fun, new technology" to town to assist with investigations.

  4. I’m not one for tv sports (besides Olympics) or the halftime shows, but I’d like to show my support to the Turning Point USA.

I’m so excited to see this WCTH!! Especially since L. J. seems to want the family together all the way and of course seeing Michael Landon’s grandson. How cool is that!!

I would love to share them here, but I'm sure you saw that each image is pretty pricey.

So... here's that link for anyone else who'd like to see the pictures on that website: (But please come back and share who you think was best dressed - I shared my favorites at the end of this comment)

  8. I’m not into sports, even though our children play sports I only half know what’s going on Lol but I’m always at Super Bowl parties with family for one reason and one reason only: the snacks. I rarely watch the half time shows because they are normally pretty wild but we will probably still gather tomorrow with family to hang out and have some good food.

The Way to You is family friendly and very cute rom com. Good chemistry between the leads.

  16. Hi! Oh, my goodness, "The Way to You" was so magical! We thought it was the best non-Christmas movie in quite a while. There was so much to savor. The sister relationship was authentic and touching and felt so real. I actually believed they were sisters. The writing was both witty and touching. I have always been a huge fan of Kim, and I was so happy to see Aaron again in a role where his strengths were used wisely. He and Kim together were sublime. The slow growth in the romantic arc worked within the storyline and as it unfolded it felt grounded in reality. Their chemistry was not phony in any way. I fell in love with them by the end of the movie. I was rooting for them to finally say how they felt. :-) This was a beautiful film that I will be adding to my DVD collection whenever it is released.

  17. Review: The Way To You -
    Family-friendly? Yes -
    Recommend? Oh Yes! -

To add to Joan's wonderful review of this movie, I would give this a recommendation even it wasn't for Kim Matula's outstanding performance, but it is because of it I am giving this a high recommendation! Simply, she knocks this role out of the park. Her range of emotions are spot-on, and it never feels like she is acting. I was smiling throughout this entire movie because of her. Aaron also does a really good job, and like Allie said, he never changes...he looks exactly like he did 10 years ago in 12 Gifts of Christmas! (Wow, has it been that long ago?!) Also, the storyline made for a fun adventure, and the supporting cast was really good too. So for lots of reasons - but especially for Kim's performance - this one is a definite watch!

  20. I was finally able to watch “The Way to You” and i absolutely loved it! I thought the storyline was interesting, the supporting cast worked and the chemistry between the leads was just so good- they got to know each other gradually and you could see their feelings for each other grow, very believable, not rushed at all, which is sometimes hard for avoid in a 2 hour movie Lol. Definitely recommend!
