Are you ready to get back in the saddle, Heartland fans?
I just wanted to share a reminder that Heartland Season 18 premieres tonight, Thursday, January 8th, on UPtv, at 8pm/7c. I had the opportunity to screen the first episode, and I’m happy to say it stays true to the heart of the series... family-friendly, full of warmth, and it has just the right touch of intrigue.
Season 18, Episode 1:
"True Grit" - Amy helps Nathan Pryce with a sheepdog competition while Heartland faces Pryce Beef competition and an impending water shortage, straining Lou, Jack, and Tim."
One small caution: A woman admits, in a private conversation, that she cheated on her husband. Nothing more is said or shown.
Here's a more in-depth synopsis of the entire 18th season via UPtv:
"The success of a family run ranch in the foothills of Alberta isn’t guaranteed, even in the best of times, and when season 18 begins, Heartland’s future has never been more precarious. With new competition from a neighboring ranch, and a drought that threatens the health of the herd, the only solution is for the Bartlett-Fleming family to buckle down and adapt like never before. Amy’s work with horses continues to be her focus, but when she unexpectedly finds her heart pulled in two different directions, she’ll be forced to make a difficult decision. Lou will be more involved than ever in the family cattle business, often placing her at odds with Jack and Tim. However, when it matters most, the entire family will come together and prove that no adversity is too great when they’re united. It will take courage, resolve, and strength of character to overcome the challenges ahead. In other words, it’ll take true grit.
So be sure to tune in tonight at 8pm/7c. for the first episode of Heartland season 18 on UPtv.

I just love this show. I have UP Faith & Family app so I have watched season 19 up to the mid season finale. I just love how they keep coming up with stories for this show. I LOVE Katie and how she is growing up and finding her way. She feels she is alone in the family cause she is not like Georgie, but she is finding her way and I love it. Love grandpa, love Tim & Jessica. Love having Lou and Peter back together as a family. I read season 20 might be the last. I think they are starting filming on that soon. I love that HM Family is playing Heartland in the AM and PM, and Up has it on in the AM"s. That is still one of my favorite shows.

Sabrina, I love hearing how much you still enjoy Heartland!
DeleteWhat I love about it... is how they have struggles, but as a family they are always there for one another.
That is amazing to think they will a 20th season! Truly incredible, especially since the four main characters of the family have stayed with it all these years.
Great show. Jack is one of the reasons I started watching Crossroad Springs. Robert
ReplyDeleteRobert, Yeah, I think Jack is well-loved by many! Me, too! He plays the patriarch so perfectly... strong, rugged, yet warm, and compassionate. I'm sure lots of Heartland fans are drawn into Crossroad Springs because of him.
DeleteMy husband even likes this show. I’m curious though as to who had an affair. Lou maybe? Christie
ReplyDeleteChristie, I don't want to give it away, but it's not Lou or any of the main cast members.
