Even though all the new Christmas movies have aired for 2025, there are still plenty of Christmas classics and new instant classics airing this weekend and the week ahead!
Be sure to look for all of your old & new favorites, including: Chasing Christmas, A Veteran's Christmas, My Christmas Hero, A Joyous Christmas, We Met in December, A Christmas Prayer, and more!
The Hallmark Channel is playing Christmas movies from now until Sunday, January 4th!
Hallmark Mystery will air Christmas programming until early January 2nd. Look for a marathon of Mistletoe Murders on New Year's Day - January 1st!
Hallmark Family is playing Christmas until December 29th. A marathon of When Calls the Heart, beginning with Season 1, starts on December 30th.
Great American Family continues their Christmas programming until early January 5th! Look for the 137th Rose Parade on New Year's Day, Thursday, January 1st, at 10am EST.
Enjoy all the wonder and excitement of the Christmas season as long as you can! Soak it all up!

Oh, Dear January 5th! You hurt me before I even knew you. I could have loved you, but you stung me before I had a chance.
ReplyDeleteJim, I know... I don't want it to end either, but at least both channels are extending the Christmas movies a little longer this year. So thankful we our recordings to watch any time.
DeleteI’ll be enjoying as much Christmas as I can! It looks like Hallmark & Great American Family are going longer this year, which is nice.
ReplyDeleteAllie B, Happy watching to you!!! :)
DeleteThank you GAC and Hallmark for a great season. Hope you continue the Christmas movies on Thursdays and Fridays year round.
ReplyDeleteYes! I love that they continue to play Christmas movies year round!
DeleteSo far, I'm seeing that both the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Family will have classic Christmas movies on Friday nights at 6pm/5c and 8pm/7c.
As I'm writing this, Great American Family hasn't updated their schedule on their website, yet, for Friday, January 9th, but I'm also hoping they'll continue airing Christmas movies on Fridays, too.
Good news! Great American Family will have Christmas movies on Friday night throughout the year!
DeleteGAF will air 4 classic Christmas films from 4pm/3c to 12am/11c beginning Friday, January 9th.
This is GREAT news! Also, GAF will repeat the last 3 from midnight to 6am...great for us night owls. Beggers can't be choosy, but it would be even greater if they spread those days out. Example...Hallmark Family on Wednesday. Hallmark on Thursday. GAF on Friday or any combination of that.
DeleteHi Net,
ReplyDeleteThis Christmas season has been hard. Please pray for my Mother in Law. She had to go to the hospital on Christmas Day. We found out that she has cirrhosis. And her blood count was very low. 12 is normal and she was at a 3. She had to get a blood transfusion. And she is doing better but don’t think you can reverse this. Please pray for Beverly.
Elizbeth, I'm keeping Beverly in my prayers, along with you, your family, and the doctors. I'm sorry this has been a difficult Christmas season for your family. It is good to know Beverly is doing better. Take care, honey. God be with you all.
DeleteI am still in the Christmas spirit with you Jim! Over here watching my recorded Christmas movies. I just finished “She’s Making a List” and it was great! The little girl who played Charlie was super cute, I think her role was bigger than most kids nowadays (how we discussed some posts ago) and it really added to the film. Andrew was great in his role as her father, you could feel he really felt for his daughter as she was lashing out during grieving. And of course Lacey was her usually Christmas queen self 😊 I also enjoyed seeing the neighbor played by BJ Harrison. I thought she was so funny in “Christmas on Candy Cane Lane”. Definitely recommend this one!

Hi net, I have enjoyed visiting your blog over the years. Being able to read reviews on here has been helpful. I’m not sure if my message went through but I was wondering if you guys could pray for mother in law. She had to go to the hospital on Christmas Day. She has cirrhosis please pray that God will help her get better. Elizbeth
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth, I am so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law! I will definitely keep her in my prayers!
DeleteMark
Elizbeth, I did see your previous comment about your mother-in-law, and I've been praying, honey. I'm so sorry to hear she has cirrhosis. Bless her heart. Please know... that I'll keep praying, and I know there will be others here who will pray, as well. Please keep us updated when you can.
DeleteOh no! I’m praying for her Elizbeth and for your family. Like Net said, keep us updated. We’re here for you. ❤️
DeleteMy secret Santa, I tried to watch my secret Santa. The new Netflix Christmas movie. Well, I don’t recommend this movie. Unfortunately, there’s a same sex relationship in this movie.
ReplyDeleteMy secret Santa review was from me I forgot to put my name. Elizbeth
ReplyDeleteElizbeth, Thank you so much for adding this review. I'm not surprised with Netflix, but I appreciate you letting us all know.
Delete(Please know, I'm still praying for your mother-n-law)
We Met in December review:
ReplyDeleteBest Christmas movie I’ve seen in years!!! This one is so incredibly special and beautifully done. Their chemistry is so strong before they speak one word! I will watch this every year and Net, I’m sorry but I think I like this better than Love at the Thanksgiving Parade. Or at least a close tie. ;)
P. S. Since we’re on the subject of Autumn’s movie, I just saw her in the film “Sully.” It was a great movie starring Tom Hanks a pilot that had to do an emergency landing on the Hudson River. True story. And Autumn played a young mom passenger with a cute baby on her lap. But what made her scene so sweet, during the crash a gentleman sitting next to her offered to hold her baby because he could protect the baby more because he was stronger. Made my cry it was sooo sweet. It has some language, but not a lot. Definitely worth seeing if you haven’t yet.
~Abigail
Abigail, I so enjoyed your review!!! And you made me laugh... oh my goodness... I can't wait to see this, especially now with you saying it's even better than Love at the Thanksgiving Parade - or a tie!!! I think I might save this one for one of my last Christmas movie watches - after hearing how much you & everyone loved it! I always try to end with at least one good one. :)
DeleteHappy New Year to you & your family!!!
Has anyone been watching any Christmas to new year transition movies, I’ve watched hallmark’s “A Rose for Christmas”, “A Kiss at Midnight”, “A Midnight Kiss”, “Royal New Year’s Eve”, “A New Year’s Resolution”, Netflix’s “Midnight at the Magnolia”. I also watch some classics: The Holiday, While You Were Sleeping, When Harry Met Sally, Bridget Jones Diary & “Serendipity” if I haven’t watched it before Christmas
ReplyDeleteFrom your list... I watched 'While You Were Sleeping' the week before Christmas! It is still such a delightful rom-com, and I love how it also includes New Year's.
DeleteI also recently watched "A Boyfriend for Christmas" on PixL - another sweet one that includes a countdown to New Year's Day!
Happy New Year Net, thank you so much for the wonderful job you do on this site. I agree While you were sleeping is such a lovely movie. I’m adding A Boyfriend for Christmas on my rewatch list, thank you for the recommendation, it’s been a while since I’ve watched it
DeleteAwww While you were sleeping is such a good one! I’ll try to watch that this weekend!
Delete~Paula
It really is, such a feel good movie
DeleteHi Net, there are some new Great American Family movies (six I believe) that haven't been added to PureFlix yet even though their Christmas movie schedule said "stream early on PureFlix". Do you happen to know when these will be added to PureFlix? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSherry, Unfortunately, not all of the Great American Family Christmas movies were intended to air on Pure Flix, too. Only a certain selection were announced to air on both GAF and Pure Flix.
DeleteThese are the Christmas movies that were never scheduled to air on Pure Flix:
A Very Curious Christmas
Pencil Me in for Christmas
Christmas North of Nashville
Christmas at Mistletoe Manor
A Royal Christmas Tail
There was an announcement, though, that Chasing Christmas would be available via streaming, but I have yet to see it there. I will contact them to see if it is still coming at a future time.
Thank you for commenting! Blessings in the New Year! :)
Thanks for this information, Net! Hope you have a very blessed 2026!
DeleteHappy New Year to all! Sadly, the Christmas decorations are coming down, but the memories are here to cherish. Thank goodness for DVD so we can save Christmas movies to watch all the year.
ReplyDelete-Gabe’s Mom
Gabe's Mom, I know just what you mean... I'm also grateful for my DVDs and streaming library of Christmas films! I'll definitely be watching more of them after the Christmas movies on TV come to an end.
DeleteHappy New Year to you, too, and your family!!!
ReplyDeleteThe More The Merrier
This movie was so good! First off, before i was a stay at home mom i worked in healthcare for almost 10 years and I worked with some people that were as joyful as Rachel and people like that are such a blessing to be around. It definitely makes the stressful situations more manageable. Also, that was the friendliest ER staff Iv ever seen 😂
Rachel was her usual sunny self, I just imagine her like that in real life. She made me laugh when she slipped and she was like “I’m falling, I accept it” Iv been there 😂. Of course Brendan was amazing as always, there nothing he can’t do- drama, comedy, him and Rachel were great together. I love how so many come together to help when they lost power. I also really enjoyed the supporting cast, especially Brendan’s sister, forgot her name but I know Iv see her before. Definitely would watch again!

There’s No Place Like Christmas
ReplyDeleteThis movie was so sweet- and that is mainly due to Sam and Cindy. I saw them in a GAF movie a couple years ago and they had such a natural chemistry together and this movie was no different. It’s like they weren’t even acting; I really enjoyed their pairing. The scenery in the movie, the Christmas decor, choice of music, all of the production was so nicely done. I love the message of remembering what is important about your home, who you are with and how that makes you feel. I especially loved the line the buyer made about the home Grace was selling. She said “we can see our Christmases here, the decorations, even the mess, it shows that joy lives here” It made me tear and think of my own home. Sometimes I wish my home could stay spotless and perfectly decorated but then I look at my young children playing and making messes and memories and I remember that God and joy and love live within these walls and that’s more important than a perfect looking home. The movie was family friendly and I definitely would watch next holiday season! Also, although the church scene at the end didn’t say much, it was a nice ending.
~Paula
Paula, Thank you, sweetie, for these fantastic reviews! I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that line you mentioned in "There’s No Place Like Christmas" - “we can see our Christmases here, the decorations, even the mess, it shows that joy lives here.” That line always jumps out at me, too, and the special meaning behind it. I agree... there can certainly be lots of memories in those messes - toys on the floor, shoes by the door, wrapping paper scattered around the room on Christmas Day, etc...!!! There's a lot of beauty there!
DeleteBlessings to you & your sweet family... Happy New Year!!!
Awww yes Net, my mom always tells me the same. So I try to enjoy these moments because I know soon my kids will be grown and I’ll miss those toys on the floor and artwork all over our fridge. 😊
Delete~Paula
Paula, Yes, I love that! Sounds just like my Momma, too! :)

ReplyDeleteChasing Christmas
This movie was so stinkin cute! The kids were great- I immediately recognized the little girl from the daughter on “A Christmas Switch”. For anyone that hasn’t seen it, it’s really cute and on Disney Plus. And Mario Lopez’s son is such a cutie, he’s a natural. I thought the nod to “Jingle All The Way” was hilarious when Michael asks his friend if he knows where he can find a golden glider toy & the guy is cracking up just like Arnold trying to find the Turbo Man doll 😂 I thought it was a nice twist to the original, to have them try to make one. And the ending was very sweet, sad because of her mourning her loss but sweet for her new beginning. I recommend this one for anyone who enjoyed Jingle All The Way!

Timeless Tidings of Joy
ReplyDeleteOkay guys, I was apprehensive about this one because these time travel ones can get a little confusing for me. But I am so glad I did because gosh this movie was fantastic! I don’t think Iv ever seen a Candace movie I didn’t love honestly. And her and Paul just had a familiar warmness with each other, a very sweet pairing for this period. I love seeing Candace’s daughter acting as well. GAF really shined with using their platform to bring the good news of God. I love when Joy was explaining how God always provides, even when he takes away. I absolutely believe that. We may not see it in the moment, but His timing is perfect and He always works everything out for the good of His people. So the movie was totally giving me Back to the Future vibes, with Ally racing to reunite her grandparents by the snowball dance. All that was missing was a photo of her disappearing like Marty Mcfly. There was one part that confused me, but that’s usually the case in these time travel movies. While I think the ending was a little too easy in their return, it all tied together very nicely. Definitely recommend and I’ll be watching next season as well!

This is a review for the dvd of "The Finnish Line". I bought this movie and didn't watch it right away and went past my 30 day return date. The movie is a good movie. The problem is that Hallmark cut about 5 minutes from the movie. And it was an important scene where there is a romantic moment at Coles house and book review etc. Haven't had this happen before and am really disappointed in Hallmark for doing this. I paid $20 for an incomplete movie. Not sure I want to buy any more movies from Hallmark. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
ReplyDeleteI wrote earlier about the problem with "The Finnish Line" dvd(about 8 minutes missing in the middle of the movie). I called Hallmark customer service and they said because I didn't buy it from them they could do nothing about it, but I asked if they sell through hallmark and he said no. I asked if anyone quality checks the dvds and never really got an answer. They basically told me there was nothing they could do.
ReplyDeleteI believe Hallmark uses Cinedigm/Cineverse to put their movies on dvd. This is not the first time they have cut scenes out of hallmark movies. I bought Unleashed with Jen Lilly and Cinedigm removed two adorable scenes THEY thought were not necessary. They also did the same with The Last Bridesmaid.
DeleteDid anyone else notice in Unleashed
The scene where they had a puppy party at town hall and one of the puppies peed on the mayors expensive carpet. And where Donna took the dogs out for a walk in the country and Maise got away and the mayor, Christopher Russell and Donna, went looking for the dog and the mayor ends up landing in a mud puddle they are not in the dvd version.
Can someone else check their copy of this movie to see if those scenes have been removed. I use to buy DVD’s from CD Universe thinking I was getting movies sent from the United States it was not until I had to return a movie to them (after having bought lots and lots of movies from them)that the post office lady made a comment about the label being from if I recall correctly Sweden or some foreign country.
Net do you have this movie? If so, would you have the time and be willing to look at your copy to see if those scenes are there. If they are then I will attempt to see if I can get a copy that has these scenes from Amazon.
I know everyone is probably getting caught up in watching Christmas movies but I would really appreciate it if someone could look into this.
Thank you
I wish I could answer this, but I don't have these DVDs. Hopefully, someone who does will catch your comment and be able to answer your questions.
DeleteSorry, I couldn't help; I would be most willing to look if I had them.
The movie is actually called Love Unleashed with Jen Lilley and Christoper Russell
DeleteChristmas on Duty
ReplyDeleteSo I typically enjoy Janel, and I think Iv seen this actor before, somewhere. Though the premise was kind of confusing (how every shipping company was not able to deliver, but might be there by Christmas Eve, and yet the closest stores were fully stocked with these gifts right before Christmas) that’s what I love about Hallmark movies- the storylines sometimes are far fetched, but it always works out in the end. I did enjoy their little journey with some mishaps along the way, those are always fun to see. I also enjoyed the storyline with her mom, and trying to enjoy her first Christmas without her. I thought the dad and the friend still spending Christmas Eve together was kind of odd….i kept thinking please don’t let them fall in love, that would be strange. And the reconciliation of the two dads at the end was nice. Just nothing that wowed me, but a one time watch for anyone interested in military hallmark movies!

Merry Christmas Ted Cooper
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I cannot believe they had him put on that cropped sweater 😂 But I’m glad he finally changed out of the girl clothes. This was a fun movie! Different than the normal hallmark I am drawn to (I love the overdone storylines) but a nice switch up for those that are over the overdone storylines. Robert and Kimberly had a natural banter with each other, and the sister and teacher and Brendan made me laugh too- Iv never seen him play anyone annoying. Great casting all around. There were some talk about getting a drink & shots in the beginning, but nothing was shown of them going to a bar or anything. There was a lot of laughs but also some serious moments as well, with Ted really analyzing why he is the way he is. There is nothing wrong with always being positive and making others happy but we need to allow ourselves to feel other emotions too and we can choose what makes us happy as well, it doesn’t have to be one or the other. A good watch for anyone who wants a break from the average hallmark movie.
~Paula
Has anyone bought the Finnish Line? Was your copy missing the scene at Coles house where she reviews his book and there is a kissing scene followed by an argument by the four of them? I really like this movie, but am a little skeptical on spending the money again. If anyone has bought this I would appreciate your comments. Thank you
ReplyDeleteHello, sorry I don’t own this dvd!
Delete~Paula
If anyone has Love Unleashed or The Finnish Line, could you please check for the above mentioned missing scenes. It would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance for your answer.
