I hope we all take a moment this Easter to cherish in our hearts that on Easter Sunday morning, when the stone was rolled away from the tomb, Jesus rose again!
May we pause to reflect on the profound love God has for us, shown through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus, who was crucified, laid to rest, and rose again on the third day. When we turn away from our sins, we can receive God's forgiveness, be freed from the repercussions of our wrongdoings, and look forward to eternal life with Him!
If you would like to ask Jesus to come into your heart, I've included a special prayer of salvation below.
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
For those of you who would like to know the full joy of receiving Jesus in your heart, I've included the prayer of salvation here for you...
(If you repeat these words and mean them in your heart, then you will be saved.)
"God, I know I am a sinner.
I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross.
I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me.
I now receive Jesus as my Savior.
Forgive me Lord of my sins.
I thank You for the the gift of salvation
and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace.
In Jesus name, I pray...
Amen."
If you said that prayer for the first time, God bless you, fellow Sister or Brother in The Lord! I want to encourage you to seek God's word for direction in your life. He has ALL the answers you need. Jesus died and rose again for you, so live daily for Him!
Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteWill try to get around to most of this new stuff. -Maria
Maria, A very Happy Easter to you, my sweet friend! I hope you will enjoy lots of the new movies + WHC this weekend! :)
Delete"and look forward to eternal life with Him!"...can you imagine spending ETERNITY in peace and joy with no more suffering? How amazing and something we truly need to ponder and meditate on...ETERNITY of peace and joy! Oh my! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteJim, Your words touched my heart deeply! It's hard to comprehend all the love God has for us. We are so unworthy, but he loved us anyway.
DeletePraying you have a joyful and peaceful Easter, my friend! :)
I've not had a lot of time in the past few months to come here and participate like I used to, but tonight I decided to jump on and read a few posts. It's so comfortable to read the comments made by old friends on here (and, wow, I'm so far behind and I really need to catch up with my movie-watching!).
DeleteAnd, Jim, your words touched my heart deeply, as well. A very precious (and young!) family member died two weeks before Easter. It's been a gut-wrenching couple of weeks. But also beautiful and joyful, knowing how much he loved and followed Jesus and would share the love of Jesus with everyone he met. As Net said, it is so hard to completely comprehend the love God has for us. But to know without a shadow of doubt that a loved one has eternal life and is now present with the Lord, with no more suffering... that thought alone brings such comfort! And it also brings a sense of urgency to share the Good News with other friends and family and neighbors who need to hear; it hurts my heart to think of them spending eternity without Jesus.
Christ is Risen!! And therefore we have hope!!
All praise and glory to Him!!
~~Jane
Jane, It is so wonderful to hear from you, but I'm so deeply sorry to hear about the loss of your young family member. Oh, honey. That is so hard. I'm grateful to know that he loved Jesus and is in His awesome presence now.
DeleteI will be sure to keep you and your family close in my prayers. I'll be praying for God's peace, strength, and comfort to surround you all. It is such a gift that we have the blessed assurance of Glory forevermore with Him!
Sending you hugs and much love, my dear friend.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
Jane, I too am so sorry to hear about your loss! Know that I am keeping you and all of your family members in my prayers!
DeleteJane, I’m so sorry to hear about your family member’s passing. I know it’s hard and painful. Take comfort in knowing that he’s with his Savior now, no more struggling with sin and the pains of our worldly world. I’m praying for you, my friend.
DeleteI lost my Mimi this year and I remind myself that she’s not dead. Her body is, but her real self is alive with my Papa and singing her Praise to Christ. When I think of her that way it makes me feel better, I pray that helps for you as well.
One day we’ll all be in Glory, won’t that be exciting! I’m sure there’ll be a lot of hugs as we meet for the first time! And Jim and Mark 25 will be singing Christmas Hymns. ;)
Abigail, I love your comment! It reminds me of a funny discussion Net, I and others had many years ago. We were saying how much fun it would be if a number of us could go Christmas caroling together, and Jim and I would provide the bass vocals! We never came up with a name for our little group, though. I was thinking...how about "Net and the Nutcrackers"? Or better yet, the "Hallmark Harmonizers"? Okay, I'll stop!
DeleteWell... y'all made me cry... and that's a good thing! :) After the funeral, I went to the beach with family just to decompress and listen to God's awesome ocean and get a change of perspective from hospital rooms and nonstop tears. I felt like so many tears had fallen that it was impossible to generate any more. But all of your sweet and caring words brought the tears back... good tears... needed tears... thank you, my friends! ~~Jane
DeleteMark, I like "Net and the Nutcrackers". I definitely fit the NUT part.
DeleteI’m sorry for your loss, Jane. Loosing someone at any age is hard, but a child cuts even deeper. It’s good you have the reassurance that he knew Jesus, Christie
DeleteHappy Easter all.
ReplyDeleteNet, you forgot Hallmark Family is playing 2 movies tonight too, Christmas movies. Maggies Miracles and The Holiday Stocking.
Sabrina, Thank you for these movie reminders! Blessings to you... on this Easter weekend! :)
DeleteHappy Easter, Net!!π·✝️π
ReplyDeleteAnon, Happy Easter to you, too! πΌ✝️
DeleteI want to wish all who visit here a Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteNet, you are so very special and such a great inspiration to us all! Thank you for such a wonderful Easter message, the beautiful Easter card and of course the Prayer of Salvation! You are amazing my friend! Happy Easter!
I watched the episode #3 of WHC last night. not going to give anything away, but there seems to be some very interesting story lines coming up! Of course it was great!!
ReplyDeleteJoyce, I agree! It was another beautiful episode of When Hope Calls, and so wonderful to welcome new characters to the series!
DeleteA very Happy Easter to you, my friend! :)
Happy Easter!
ReplyDeletedstoutholcomb, Blessings to you and yours this Easter!
DeleteI am excited for the movies this weekend and will be recording the Dayspring and UpTv mystery one. Thank you for including the prayer for those who wish to accept Christ into their heart, Net! What a time to accept salvation, when Jesus died for us all. Have a blessed weekend with family & friends everyone!
ReplyDelete~Paula
Paula, Just like you, I'm also recording some of the new movies because I'll be spending time with my family this weekend.
DeleteI appreciate you mentioning the prayer above. I always pray that someone in need will come across it and open their heart to Jesus. You're absolutely right; this is a wonderful time to embrace that special gift.
I hope you & your precious family have a wonderful, blessed, Happy Easter!!!
Happy Easter, everyone!
ReplyDeleteWe will go to church first tomorrow and then we always have a big egg hunt for all the kids. They like to hide the eggs over and over again all day.
By Sunday night, we’ll probably be exhausted, but I won’t miss When Hope Calls. I’m looking forward to seeing Sarah, Nick, & Trevor join the cast. Christie
Christie, Your Easter celebration sounds wonderful! Ours has always included worship and egg hunts, too... and while the Easter Bunny is all in good fun, the children always know the true meaning of Easter is Jesus and the cross.
DeleteI hope you will enjoy WHC Sunday night! It's another lovely, feel-good episode that's perfect for the whole family to enjoy together.
May this Easter bring abundant blessings to you and your family!!!
Rejoicing with you, Net, and all here that we have a risen Savior!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment! Amen, He is Risen! I'm celebrating alongside you and everyone here!
DeleteWishing you a joyful Easter filled with countless blessings from above! :)
Happy Easter my friend! May God bless you and your family this holy weekend. :-) Happy Easter to everyone else who I have grown to adore and enjoyed connecting with over the years. :-) I am going to reach out to family and spend time with my husband and son.

ReplyDeleteFaith of Angels (2024)
ReplyDeleteWhat does Matthew 17 verse 20 mean?
If we lack faith, God promises to not only give us faith but to help us do things we never imagined. Beyond your ability is where God wants you
meaning, not that it would be ordinarily or ever done in a literal sense by the apostles, that they should remove mountains; but that they should be able to do things equally difficult, and as seemingly impossible, if they had but faith, when the glory of God, and the good of men, required it.
Faith of Angels (2024)
ReplyDeleteWhat is the meaning of Luke 17 6?
Luke 17:6 (NIV)
Here Jesus teaches that even the smallest amount of faith can accomplish miraculous things.

DeleteSugarcreek Amish Mysteries: Blessings in Disguise Review.
ReplyDeleteI’ve always enjoyed the Amish movies this real life couple have filmed, but unfortunately this one bored me. Nothing interesting happened. The mystery itself was easy too. I thought Levi’s excuse for not telling his alibi was weak and thought it was odd when the more mature Amish woman Naomi was lying to the motel manager to sneak into a room. I know we all sin and have our moments of stumble, but it seemed strange to see an adult baptized Amish woman in that way.
It was a very clean family friendly film and it had genuine kind characters, it just really lacked the suspense you need to be a mystery and the acting could be better.
Hope everyone here had a lovely Easter yesterday. Yesterday was a sweet day at my house. My siblings are now too old for egg hunts, so we hid empty baskets for us each to find in our house. That was fun.
Abigail, So good to get your take on the new movie, Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries. Nice to know it's a family-friendly sort of mystery, and I appreciate you sharing those extra interesting details in the story.
DeleteAlso, it's wonderful to hear that you and your family had such a fantastic Easter celebration! That must have been a lot of fun hiding & searching for the baskets!!! :)
Hi Abigail,
DeleteYour Easter celebration sounded like so much fun! Spending time with family is always enjoyable. And, I like your all's new way of celebrating!
I completely agree with you on the Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries movie. Like you, I am a fan of their other Amish movies. My husband and I have watched them multiple times. They are really good movies. However, I also found their new mystery movie to be quite boring. Nothing really happened. My husband liked it more than I did. The storyline plodded along. We figured out who did it early on. The acting could have been better. The only positive thing I can say is yes it was clean. But that is it. I was so disappointed because I was expecting so much more given how great their other movies have been.
We did enjoy "When Hope Calls". I want to know more about the newest orphan's backstory. She is definitely hiding something! And, I continue to enjoy Cindy in her role.
We will watch "Journey to You" at some point this week.

Hi Net,
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I watched "Journey to You" last night and we were not disappointed. “Journey to You” was an exceptional movie! Oh, there was so much to love! It started out a bit slow, but then my husband and I were hooked. Erin was just perfect in her role. I could tell how much this movie meant to her. She was radiant and reflective and just wonderful. I also thought she had good chemistry with the lead male actor. I honestly did not know anything about him, but they were a great match. Their relationship was sweet and sentimental and completely believable. I thought all of the relationships were authentic and not phony in any way. The scenery was breathtaking. And, the way they brought the storyline, full circle, was perfect! I won’t spoil it, for anyone who hasn’t watched the movie, but the ending was very moving and unexpected. I wish Hallmark would make more DaySpring movies. It makes my heart soar knowing they can still make movies that matter and have a faith-based message.
Hi Joan, I too watched - or started to watch - Journey to You last night, but I turned it off about half-way through. While I agree that Erin was very good, the movie just seemed to plod along for me and I couldn't get into it. Maybe I should have stuck with it till the end?
DeleteHi Mark,
DeleteI almost turned off the movie as well because it did plod along and it took a while to pull me in. But, I am glad I stuck with it. It wasn't the most exciting movie but there really was a lot to like once it got going. Yes, not a lot happened but it was a quiet and reflective movie. If you do decide at some point, to finish the movie, I think you will like the end. :-) If you do watch it, please let me know here and I will tell you why the ending meant something to me.
No, no Mark! Keep going! How about Winter Wonderful. ;)
