I hope you enjoyed this Christmas movie news today from Great American Media.
As of today, Great American Family's Christmas movies will begin in 32 days!
Stay tuned for any more additions and updates!
Well happy 100 days to Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteI actually suggested to GAF back in July that they should consider buying the rights to Let it Snow!!
Guess the only real surprise here is that A Little Women's Christmas isn't part of the Thanksgiving lineup.
Hope everyone enjoys all these wonderful new movies!
-Maria
Yeah, I’m also shocked LWC isn’t premiering Thanksgiving weekend. I really thought that was a shoo-in based on the huge cast, but I’m happy it’s premiering sooner than we thought. Christie
DeleteI saw Danica McKellar’s Christmas movie called “Cinderella Christmas Ball”, will gonna air on 11/29/2024 on Great American Family for Great American Christmas on GAF iG
ReplyDeleteI think they are going to be adding more movies. There is a Sunday movie on October 20 but none on October 27. Than there are no Sunday movies on November 3, November 10 and November 17 but there are movues on the rest of the Sundays. So I am going to predict another 4 movies will be added.
ReplyDeleteI think there will be more too.
DeleteWhat’s about Daniel Lissing & Jessica Lowndes and Jen Lilley & Nick Bateman’s Christmas movies, and many more?
ReplyDeleteThanksgiving Week movies for Christmas movies on GAF
I love the thought of all of these, but I REALLY want to see I Heard the Bells. I love all things American history, and this one sounds wonderful. Thank you for doing this for everyone!
ReplyDeleteLots of exciting news from GAF! I am thrilled to see I Heard the Bells and Let It Snow added to the line-up! Let It Snow is one of my all time favorite Christmas movies! Hopefully GAF will be able to buy the rights to A Crown for Christmas and some of the other older fan favorites! Thank you Net for all the PureFlix updates! I really wanted to see Disciples in the Moonlight, but it was only in the theater a few days in my area and I missed it! I LOVE When Hope Calls Christmas and have asked GAF repeatedly to add it to the lineup. Glad they are adding both of these movies, along with so many GAF Christmas movies, to PureFlix! It will help me empty out my DVR before all the new movies start up! I love fall.....but I can't wait for Great American Christmas Year 4!
ReplyDeletewonderful news
ReplyDeleteI just want to check on something I read at the very bottom of this press release. It talks about a Pure FLIX TV FAST channel. Has this been released yet? If so, what apps have the channel? I checked a couple apps where the channel might be and didn’t find it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteUPDATE: I found the Pure FLIX FAST channel on Freevee. It looks to have premiered at the beginning of July in the middle of Christmas in July. I think it’s good for the readers to share or remind the other readers of channels and apps that give us another way to watch Christmas movies.
ReplyDeleteNET: Pleaae continue to tell us readers of your Weekend Movie Preview Blog when Christmas movies that usually appear on Hallmark Mystery or Hallmark Family appear on the Hallmark Channel. I read somewhere that HC is available to 89 million viewers while HM is only available to 55 million viewers and HF is available to an unknown number of viewers. Thank you!
I'm looking forward to watching all the GAF Christmas movies. Let it Snow has been a favorite. Thank you for letting all of us know about these fun Christmas movies!
ReplyDeleteInteresting that When Hope Calls movie is only being shown on PureFlix!
ReplyDeleteLove Let It Snow. So finally that she gets 3 movies.
I have mlno clue what the unnamed movie on PureFlix will be.
Misty
The When Hope Calla movie has already aired on Great American Family. It premiered in December of 2021.
DeleteLooks like 5 in new list have previously aired elsewhere. Will still watch, but a little deceptive when in comes to “Premiers” label.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know how GFAM can say “Christmas in Scotland” is a World Premiere Original in its press release. It is an acquired movie that has been available by streaming. It almost sounds like it is a GFAM-made movie also. Shouldn’t it say something about this being a TV premiere? Why wouldn’t they premiere one of their own movies for the first Great American Christmas 2024 movie?
ReplyDeleteWhy are they marketing a 10 year old classic as a new movie?
ReplyDeleteThey never once referred or called the movie a new movie. They are calling it a network premiere.
DeleteDeception by any other name. Premiere should mean new and never seen. Spend less on acquired movies and more on totally new. I’m a bid supporter of GA, but if you want interest to continue, claiming old is new doesn’t really work.
DeleteIt’s nice to see Let it Snow added to GAFs schedule. I might actually see it on there. Hallmark always aired it at weird times. I wonder if they’ll still air it at all on Hallmark now or if GAF has full rights.
ReplyDeleteI’m getting excited for the movies to start!
Hi Allie - It looks like Hallmark has the rights to this movie until November 30 (it is on Hallmark+ until this date), and then it shifts over to GAF.
DeleteHappy 100 days til Christmas, everybody at Its a Wonderful Movie!
ReplyDeleteNothing with Paul Greene this year?
ReplyDeleteIf anyone finds that any 2024 Christmas movie is based on a book (besides Little Women), please let us know. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI can feel the Christmastime warm fuzzies coming on!! I'm really looking forward to watching all these movies!
ReplyDeleteNet, I have a question about dvds. Do you know when GAF will release more Christmas dvds? Is there a reason (maybe financial?) that they don't release as many as Hallmark? I would really love to get some of these movies off my dvr and make room for the new season. ~~Jane
Jane, I agree with you; it sure would be nice to have some of my Great American Family favorites on DVD!
DeleteI will look into this more for you. I've asked before, and at the time it was being considered. I'll see if I can get more info on this.
I am definitely interested in some of the movies listed above but i have to say that it don't like the plot of Disciples in the moonlight.
ReplyDeleteSeems some people aren't renewing their contracts. Jen Lilley and I suspect Dan Lissing is the other.
ReplyDeleteMisty
I'm surprised to see Let it Snow on GAF. If Hallmark let that go I don't understand that. It's one of there better Christmas movies. I hope they don't remove it from Hallmark+. I watch Let it Snow frequently. Love that movie and it's nice to watch with no commercials. Thanks for all of the updates Net! Movies for GAF sound great!
ReplyDeleteI really hope I get to see the Thanksgiving special!!! Sounds right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteHow on earth did they get Let It Snow from Hallmark??? -Anonymous1
Jen Lilley is making a new Christmas movie with Inspirado called Holiday Hearts (Working title), and it sounds serious and fantastic! -Maria
ReplyDeleteNow seeing HM's movies, I am more certain Jen Lilleys movie will end up on GAF as a surprise. Only Lifetime left. But I doubt it would go there. HM's movies look ok, only maybe a few I will watch. And zero of them have mama kelce in them or anything chiefs related.
