Happy Father's Day weekend to all of the fathers and grandfathers who visit here! May you get all the love and attention that you so richly deserve.

If any of you are watching the new or classic movies over the weekend, I hope you enjoy that. A special thank you to our friend and loyal reviewer Maria for providing TWO very helpful reviews of the new movies - see above. (Maria, I'm so grateful for you, and I know many here also appreciate you so much - as I certainly do!)

As for what I'm watching this weekend, I'll likely be recording the new movies and When Calls the Heart to watch later, as I'll be enjoying some special time with all of my family, especially my precious Daddy, who is a strong, hardworking farmer who works every day with his hands. One of the greatest Biblical lessons he has taught me in life is... "We reap, what we sow." I may be a little biased, but I think my Daddy is the bestest, and I love him dearly! He is genuine and kind, funny, friendly, and honest, as the day is long. Most importantly, he's a man who seeks God's heart. My family and I are blessed beyond words!

Of course, we are all blessed to have a heavenly Father who loves us and calls us His children. God wants each of us to have a personal relationship with Him. He is simply a prayer away.

I hope you all have a pleasant and peaceful Father's Day weekend!

I hope you enjoyed reading this Christmas movie news as much as I enjoyed sharing it!

Do any of you remember writing letters to Santa? My siblings and I did EVERY Christmas. We would shop in catalogs and at our local mall, but then we would always come home and make our list, using red and green crayons, colored pencils, or markers (depending on our age at the time). Those are sweet memories I will always cherish, and I believe these nostalgic feelings will make this movie extra special.

My Quick Take...

I'm personally thrilled, as a mystery movie lover and fan of CCB, that we now have an official premiere date for her new mystery on Great American Family! Plus, it's likely that Candace's Christmas movie (A Christmas Less Traveled) will premiere Thanksgiving weekend, so that means we'll have new movies starring Candace back to back - one in October and another in November!

Set to premiere later this year during the network’s annual Fall into Love programming event, the movie reunites Hallmark’s beloved on-screen couple Chabert and Elliott for the 10th time since their first on-screen pairing back in 2015.

This movie marks Chabert’s third project coming to Hallmark this year, joining her previously announced new aspirational unscripted series, Celebrations with Lacey Chabert, and The Christmas Quest, Chabert’s 15th holiday movie set to premiere during Hallmark Channel’s juggernaut Countdown to Christmas programming event, celebrating its 15th year.

“We are so excited to reunite Hallmark’s perennial fan-favorite Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott in this all-new movie. Married couple Dana (Chabert) and Mark (Elliott) are high-powered lawyers at two separate New York City law firms. They soon find themselves on opposing sides of a messy divorce between two reality stars, Sammy and Brett. When both clients are unable to compromise, Dana and Mark are headed for a courtroom showdown that results in tensions infiltrating their otherwise happy household.

I personally love seeing these two together again! I adored the All of My Heart series, and it's always been my wish for them to do one more set at Christmastime. Maybe one day! 🔎 Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 for Murder Review... This was a very clean and family-friendly mystery I am happy to say!! I had fun watching it. I loved the beginning scene when she switches the hotel room numbers because the customer was VERY insistent on that room even though they are duplicates.😂😂

I would have liked it better if Maddie's character could down play a bit. I could see why the police thought her annoying, but she did grow on me. Chris(I almost typed Lucas ;) did a great job as the detective! He's a good actor.

I hope to see more, it was fun. I love it when the police let the amateur detective help out! ~Abigail

🔎 Tipline Mysteries Dial 1 For Murder is family friendly. I had trouble understanding Holland's dialogue. Speaks real fast. No problem with any of the other actors. Lots of twists and Holland's character takes some really crazy risks as the movie moves along. Fair chemistry between Holland and Chris. Chris does make a good detective. ~Joyce in Carolina

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 6, 2024) – Golden Globe nominated actress Jennifer Love Hewitt returns to Lifetime to star, direct and executive produce The Holiday Junkie (wt) as part of the network’s 2024 It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday slate. Hewitt’s husband, Brian Hallisay will co-star and their children will also appear in the film. Inspired by her personal relationship with the holiday and the loss of her mother, the project reunites her with Lifetime, having starred in the movie and the series, The Client List. Hewitt currently stars in the ABC hit show 911.

The Holiday Junkie follows the decorating and planning service company run by Andie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and her mother Mimi. After Mimi passes away, Andie is forced to face her first Christmas without her mother and carry The Holiday Junkie torch on her own. Despite the challenges, Andie may also find some love at Christmas along the way!

“To be able to direct and be in this movie with my husband is such a special opportunity. And to be back home with Lifetime feels as right as Christmas magic!” said Hewitt.

Neil Elman and Kate Tumanova produce for Elman Films. Jennifer Love Hewitt directs from a script written by Anna White based on a story by Hewitt. Last year, Hewitt launched the marketing and consumer brand The Holiday Junkie. Hewitt is releasing a similarly themed book as the film called Inheriting Magic due out December 10th through BenBella Books.

As for new movies, Merritt Patterson just recently filmed "A Vintage Christmas" with Christopher Russell for Nicely Entertainment.

The story, according to filmink: "In the small town of Oak Creek, Noah Harrington's (Christopher Russell) unpopular construction plans take a surprising turn when he discovers a cache of old Letters to Santa from the 1990s. Seeing an opportunity for redemption, he enlists the help of town historian, Tessa Findlay (Merritt Patterson), to fulfill the long-forgotten Christmas wishes. The pair embark on a heartwarming journey, rekindling the spirit of Christmas in the community, and before too long, an undeniable spark develops. But Noah is hiding a secret: Tessa's own childhood wish is among the letters. Can Noah salvage his job and the love of his life with a Christmas wish?"

I love how this story synopsis has a "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" feel to it!

No official announcement has been made on where this will air - stay tuned!

In addition to seeing Brittany Bristow in a movie this week on Great American Family, I can also share with you that she is another actress who has been busy filming. In April, she filmed a Christmas movie with Marcus Rosner for Reel One Entertainment.

Brittany is currently filming a new movie—today, in fact, is day one! She hasn't revealed her co-star yet, but she is encouraging her followers to guess who it might be.
