❤️ Happy Valentine's Day ❤️ Enjoy Rom-Com's Today on Great American Family and the Hallmark Channel

Happy Valentine's Day,
movie friends!

Roses are Red,
Violets are Blue,
I have some *LOVE*ly Movie Picks
Today just for YOU!!!

If you're looking for a heartwarming, lighthearted love story, there are several sweet romantic comedies airing today on Great American Family and the Hallmark Channel that you can enjoy on this Valentine's Day - sweetened up with candy hearts, cupids, "Be Mine" cards, red roses, and of course, lots of romance!

❤️ Valentine's Day Schedule: ❤️
[ February 14, 2024 ]

Great American Family:

A Charming Valentine - 4pm
Harmony from the Heart - 6pm
Passport to Love - 8pm

Hallmark Channel:

All of My Heart - 12pm
Love, Romance, and Chocolate - 2pm
Valentine Ever After - 4pm
Very, Very, Valentine - 6pm
My Secret Valentine - 8pm

I hope you found one or two movies you love in the schedule above.

Also, on this first day of Lent, it is the beginning of a special, holy season as we observe the 40 days leading up to Easter Sunday, marking the Resurrection of Jesus three days after his crucifixion. Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was the most perfect gift of love ever given to mankind. We love because He first loved us!

"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God."
~1 John 4:7

  3. I wish Great American Family had made it a day of movies like Hallmark, but at least they are airing Harmony from the Heart. I've been hoping we would see more of Jesse Metcalfe on there. He made some great movies for Hallmark, but doesn't show up there any more either.

    1. Same here! Would love to see more of Jesse Metcalfe on Great American Family! I also love "Harmony from the Heart" and his many wonderful movies on Hallmark, too. I just wonder if he left Hallmark because of how he was written out of the last season of "Chesapeake Shores."

Anyway, I just rewatched "Christmas Next Door" the other day. There's just something about that movie that always uplifts my spirit. Jesse really needs a new Christmas movie on Great American Family!!!

      Blessings, Net

    3. Joyce, Happy Anniversary to You and Your Forever Sweetheart!!! ❤️❤️ Valentines Day is such an ideal, romantic day for a Wedding!

I saw this lovely Anniversary plaque recently at Amazon, and when I read your comment, it instantly came to mind, and I just had to share it with you...

      With each Anniversary-
Love becomes deeper than it was a year ago.

      Trust becomes stronger
because it's had time to grow.

      Struggles become Strengths
      when worked through with care.

      Togetherness becomes Oneness
      by taking time to share.

      When a Marriage is nurtured
      it continually grows.

      And reflects God's Blessing
      like an unfolding rose.

God's Richest Blessings to you both, Net

  5. I agree guys, there are so many actors and actresses I would love to see more movies of: Jesse Metcalfe and Sarah Lancaster are two I miss seeing every year when the new movies drop. And I second anonymous up there, we are dining in tonight. When we were younger we always had fancy reservations but now you wait and there’s traffic, it’s the worst day of the year to have a relaxing peaceful dinner out, in my opinion. We will just order takeout so we can eat at home and beat the crowds. Thank you for the movie reminders Net. Here on my Xfinity they are playing “After All These Years” at 9pm on Hallmark Mysteries so we will watch that one when our little ones are asleep as my husband hasn’t watched it. I have watched it once and really enjoyed it. Happy Valentines Day everyone!

    1. Paula, Absolutely YES... to more Jesse Metcalfe and Sarah Lancaster!!! Would love to see both of them more!!!

Also, we love the mystery “After All These Years!” That is such a good one, except for the little iffy part with Gregory Harrison's bad marriage. Otherwise, it's such a great, captivating mystery! Hope your husband enjoyed it, too!

  8. An American in Austen is on HM Now. I watched it. Not worked up at all. Doesn't change pride and prejudice or criticize the sisters for obsessing over marriage. The lead female doesn't try to "modernize" them either. Wonderful movie and very family friendly and a classical feel to it. I was disappointed with Love and Jane. The acting was very bad and awkward and Jane didn't play that big of a role. A man made a comment that seemed he has S-S attraction. Watch An American in Austen it was good.

    1. Laura, I very much appreciate you sharing your take on both of these Jane Austen-inspired movies. It's especially nice to know that "An American in Austen" is family-friendly, since the series it is based upon is not. So glad to know you enjoyed that one, since "Love & Jane" was a miss.

  9. An American in Austen Review... This was my Valentine Movie...

This was family friendly, and I tried really hard to like it, but honestly it drove me crazy. Joan... I was talking to the TV again! ;) Maybe if I wasn't familiar with the story I would have enjoyed it. I liked the Fiancรฉ, but felt like it put Americans to shame, she was so crude next to them. Sadly our vocabulary has lessened in the years!

I am a big fan of the book, Pride and Prejudice and the BBC, Colin Firth version is spot on! I watch it at least every other month. Each character was perfectly casted, the Hallmark version you could tell tried to copy it but was sadly lacking in my opinion. And that's not entirely their fault, it would be nearly impossible too ;) Mr. Darcy was too fickle almost like Mr. Collins switching to the next girl, Elizabeth did not show her wise character by running away to eloping with Wickem and Mrs. Bennett and Mr. Collins were too agreeable, so was Mary... Haha ;)

If you truly LOVE the book and Colin Firth version this movie probably won't be for you, but maybe it's just me.

    Happy Valentine's Day!

    1. Abigail, Thank you so much, honey, for this detailed review of "An American in Austen." My, it sounds like a lot of liberty was taken with the various characters. When we expect certain well-known characters, like Mr. Darcy or Elizabeth B. to behave in certain ways, I totally understand that it is off-putting when they do not.

    2. Hi Abigail,

You are so funny! Thanks for making me smile this morning. I still talk to the TV as well and my husband also does it! Cracks me up! :-)

Anyway, I really need to watch the version of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth. He is one of my favorite actors but I am embarrassed to say I have never seen his movie. If you recommend the movie then I know I will love it! :-)

For the most part, I enjoyed the movie. It had some funny moments, the estates were gorgeous and the dresses were sublime. I also got a kick out of seeing Sarah Ferguson. I thought the "praying" scene was unnecessary and totally out of place. I am ready, though, for this month to be over. I liked the first Jane Austin movie the best. I disliked the second one immensely. Like I said, for the most part, I enjoyed the third movie. If I am being honest, I could have gotten lost in that library. I was a voracious reader, when I was young. And, even as I got older, I would spend hours in bookstores.

On another note: I am sorry to hear about your Blood Pressure. I am also watching my sugar intake this year.

    3. I hope you like the movie Joan. The Colin Firth version is my favorite!! But, just so you know there is a couple of seconds that I skip. It's when Mr. Darcy is explaining to Elizabeth in a letter of Wickem's past. I skip it right when I see Mr. Darcy in his graduation gown walking down a hallway. It doesn't take more than 3 seconds, but just so you're aware. I hope this helps. It is a wonderful movie though, I know it so well I quote it all the time. I hope you enjoy it!! I love to watch it with my mom. It normally takes us 2 days. 6 hour film๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

The first Jane Austen film was the best to me as well. I love Will Kemp. The movie was funny, but sweet!

Thank you, I am trying hard on this keto diet. It's hard when a lot of the vegetables have carbs..At least I'm not alone. My whole family is doing it and that helps and I am now passed to the second stage when I'm almost never hungry. Yay!!.... Now if I could only convince them to go through the pantry and through away ALL the no-no's! -haha ;)

I'm a big reader my self. Started on Nancy Drew in the fourth grade, I've collected over 200 over the years and still love to read. In some ways it's like watching a movie. I can see it all when I open a book. Janette Oke is my favorite.
