Movie Review:
π The Warrant: Breaker’s Law-
Actor Neal McDonough returns to this sequel as U.S. Marshal John Breaker. Throughout the film, Neal’s performance is consistently strong and exceptionally smart. Within only a few minutes into the movie, you get the sense that this man is indestructible, bullet-proof. John Breaker has a way of shrewdly discerning others’ actions and capabilities. I enjoyed the sharp-witted dialogue between John and his confidant and closest friend, Deputy Bugle Bearclaw.
Bruce Boxleitner provides a solid performance as the Judge, who is willing to pay the ultimate price for the cost of justice by doing what is right. His daughter Charlotte, portrayed by Amy Hargreaves, remains faithfully by his side; however, she holds her own, along with the men, as they protect the town’s gold from a thieving murdering gang led by Dermot Mulroney. In fact, Mulroney has dual roles in this film as twin brothers who are both acutely evil and on the wrong side of the law.
There are also many memorable performances from the supporting cast, including actors Nick Searcy, Lou Beatty Jr., and John Patrick Jordan. This film is a true Western in every sense of the word; it’s intense and action-packed from the opening to the closing credits. Please know there is gun violence throughout the movie, but except on rare occasions, it’s mostly good triumphing over evil.
Due to the gun violence, which isn’t overly gory, in my opinion, this movie is better suited for a mature audience. I found this film to be an entertaining, fascinating watch. If you enjoy captivating tales of history and stories of the old West, then The Warrant: Breaker's Law is the movie for you! ~Net
