Happy Weekend, Everyone!

It's that time again! Let's check out what's airing this weekend...

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has an all-new movie premiere Friday night starring Andrea Brooks, who portrays Dr. Faith Carter on When Calls the Heart. And as *Christmas in July* rolls on... Great American Family will air six classic Christmas movies this weekend; three of my favorites from GAF are airing on Sunday night, and the Hallmark Channel has three special Christmas movie showings airing on Saturday and Sunday!

And now for something extra fun with Candace Cameron Bure! Since the actors can't really talk about their films right now due to the SAG strike, it's enjoyable to see them talk about their other projects. Candace Cameron Bure was on QVC this morning promoting her clothing line, with jeans, hoodies, sweaters, cute tops, dresses, and more!

Here are three video clips from Candace this morning on QVC...

Candace will be back on QVC on Friday, July 21, 2023, for a shorter segment, sometime within the 5pm-8pm show to promote her clothing.

You can also shop the Candace Cameron Bure clothing line at QVC - here!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend planned. The new Hallmark Movies & Mysteries premiere, A Lifelong Love, looks intriguing to me - with a touch of mystery to the story. Plus, I thought Andrea Brooks and Patch May had wonderful chemistry in their previous UPtv movie, The Wedding Fix, so I think it will be fun to see them together again.

UPDATE "A Lifelong Love" Movie Review- I decided to give this movie a try. Around 30 minutes in, Annika (Andrea Brooks) and Ryan (Patch May) are searching for her grandfather's first love, Ruth Barlow. They meet an older woman with that name, who works at a greenhouse nursery. Even though she's the wrong Ruth, they still ask if she'll share her love story with them for a book they are writing. A couple scenes later, this woman, Ruth, proceeds to talk about her wife, Nancy. From there I stopped watching. It was a lighthearted, interesting movie up to that point. I was disappointed they had to include that. ~Net

For those of you who don't have the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel, I hope you will have the opportunity this weekend to see both Long Lost Christmas and Time for Him to Come for Christmas. Both are heartwarming films - filled with emotion. I do want to caution that Time for Him may be too deep for younger viewers. Also, another caution, at the intro of Haul Out the Holly, Lacey is living in the same place as her boyfriend, but nothing is shown. You can read reviews for all of these Christmas movies from 2022 - *here*.

Keep cool, everyone, on these hot and humid Summer days, and enjoy the snowy scenes of Christmas in July!

Blessings to you all,
Net

  5. Unfortunately, proving 1 of my suspicions when I heard there would be multiple love stories included right, I've heard that A Lifelong Love has a gay couple. Very sad. Very, very sad. -Maria

    2. Also, in the ice cream shop (before meeting w Greenhouse Ruth), they talk abt getting the love story of a couple snuggling over by the window. It was 2 men. Luckily, they cut to commercial and didn’t pursue it (I think. I can’t finish the movie). I’m sad bc this was a new and cute movie. But this is how the inappropriate material gets the foot in the door. More and more, I just can’t trust Hallmark. A decade ago that would’ve sounded insane! :(

    1. Bummer, I don’t know what are they saying. Closed Caption disappeared in thin air since I read someone’s post by saying a woman married a woman in Hallmark Channel IG yesterday

I’m bummer about closed caption disappeared in thin air on Hallmark Channel, HMM, & GAFAM without Closed Caption at all

    3. Hello all,

Thank you for the information, on this movie. I also recorded the movie but I have deleted it. This is so disappointing.

    4. What really saddens me is we are now seeing more and more of the older generations in to LGBT on adds and TV programs. It's the Hippie Generation...

    5. A similar plot is "Love Stories in Sunflower Valley." And it is WONDERFUL!! Family friendly, great and heartwarming and the characters as perfect! Staring Erin Cahill and Marcus Rosner.

    6. Abigail, I agree with you, I just saw “Love Stories in Sunflower Valley” and it was super cute & loved the scenery with all the sunflowers.

  7. GAF put some dates on some of their movies. I noticed Dream Wedding is Aug 25th and there is a movie on Sept 16th, I didn't catch the name. I might have missed other announcements cause it was on the bottom of the tv and I was doing things while the tv was on.

I enjoyed the Love Comes Softly marathon Saturday. I love those movies.

I love that GAF is giving dates for the movies coming up. Its all so exciting. I know that Summer movies go up to at least Sept 16th. I am hoping fall start the following weekend cause there are only 2 Sat in October for fall and I am hoping for more than 2 fall movies.

    1. Hi, Sabrina - I caught those, too, over the weekend and added them to the Movie Schedule.

"Dream Wedding" will premiere Saturday, August 26th and the other movie premiering on September 16th is called "Love Can Surprise You." It was previously titled "10 Truths About Love." I had to rewind my player back to get the title for that one.

I agree, it was fun to see these movie dates, plus "An Unlikely Angel" starring Jillian Murray on August 12th!

Initially, I was really surprised they already showed that promo for September, but then again, I also caught a preview for Jill Wagner's Christmas movie!

Haven't watched today, yet, to see if there are any more new announcements. I'm wondering if "Key to Love" will premiere August 19th? Have you seen anything with that? If not, we'll probably see something soon.

      Blessings, Net :)

    2. Hey Net, I didnt see Key to Love or the Perfect Match movie either. The Perfect Match looks really good too. I will be sad to see the Christmas movies go on GAF. No offense to Wagon Train, but it was nice that Litte House on the Prairie was back yesterday. We always like watching Monk as well on HMM.

    3. Sabrina, I noticed yesterday they removed "Key to Love" from the GAF website under the movie section. Wonder if they have removed it for a later time (like next year) or completely??? With the actors/writers strikes, they may want to hold on to some movies to air after Christmas, in case both strikes are on-going.

btw, I like LHOTP better, too, and forever love Monk - anytime I catch it! :) ~Net

    4. Key to Love is actually one of Valentine’s Day movies next year on GAFAM

      Delete
    5. That is definitely a great possibility. Have you heard something???

    6. I feel like I still saw a commercial in the last few days promoting Key to Love. But I didn't notice if it said this summer or not. I wouldn't be surprised if networks wanted to hold onto things cause we don't know what will come of the strike and even if they all come to an agreement, it takes time to film and schedule and write things. GAF could certainly play more of the pure flicks movies.

    7. Sabrina, Do let me know if you see the promo for "Key to Love" any more. I just wonder if they will air it next year or something, since they removed it from their website. ~Net

  8. Too bad because Key To Love was one of the better movies they were proposing to air - Florence

    1. Florence, I haven't seen the movie like you, but I thought the promo looked extra cute for Key to Love. Sure hope they plan to air it one day. I did a quick search to see if it's available to stream anywhere, but I came up empty. I will try again - if GAF doesn't end up playing it eventually. ~Net
