2 Months until Christmas, Plus News on 2 Christmas Movies!

For those of us who've been wondering about the movie, CHRISTMAS IN THE WILDS, the sequel to the movie, Romance in the Wilds, that recently premiered on UPtv... news has been revealed through wrap.com.

Wrap is reporting: "Fox Nation, one of Fox News Media’s three streamers, is celebrating an “All-American Christmas” this year with the release of two new Christmas Movies. “Christmas in the Wilds” and “Christmas in the Pines” will both be available exclusively on the platform beginning on Thanksgiving, which falls Nov. 25."

If you are interested in signing up for FOX NATION, you can currently get 35% off with the promo code: "Celebration."

I know this news is kind of a bummer for those of us who were hoping UPtv would get the "Romance in the Wilds" sequel. However, in addition to the streaming option, both movies are also available on DVD.

  1. Net, I am so thankful I ordered both Romance In The Wilds and Christmas In The Wilds DVD's.

Not sure which Christmas movie I will watch today, but since I have not watched a Lucas Bryant movie in a while, perhaps one of his will be my choice.

    1. kitkat, Mayne you can let us know about "Christmas in the Wilds" sometime after you receive it. I'm weighing the DVD or streaming option.

A movie with Lucas Bryant sounds like a great pick marking the 25th. I'll probably watch Marry Me at Christmas on HMM tonight.

  2. Net, just curious, what’s the best way to see ratings on how well or bad movies are. Like the ones this past weekend. Which network fared better or which movie rated better or worse. Thanks. I love the reviews that are shared here but wondered how the ratings are compiled.

    1. JoCo, Honestly, I'm still looking for a good resource for ratings. Wikipedia has them listed along with each Hallmark movie, but I don't know who adds those numbers there.

I, too, would love to be able to compare Hallmark-GAC Family-Lifetime-UP etc...

Anyone know a good place to see this???

    2. Here's one place I found that has GAC and UP, along with Hallmark and Lifetime, though I don't know how quickly or consistently information will be posted: http://www.ratingsryan.com/2021/10/cable-tv-ratings-week-ending-october-17.html

Here's another place, but I think they limit what they list to the more established networks, which probably won't include UP or GAC, for the time being: https://showbuzzdaily.com/articles/the-sked/tvratings/cableratings

      Hope this helps!

    3. I'd love to know too!

The thing is the numbers on Wiki are only those who watched the movie "live".

There are so many now (like myself) who record and watch the movie at a later date and this is probably increasing as many here want to wait to see if a particular movie is family-friendly.

I may be wrong but I think it's either a fortnight or a month before all these figures are included to give a final total.

I haven't a clue how they can know these numbers - they must do surveys or something.

Although Hallmark viewing figures have dertainly taken a dive recently they're not just as dire as Wiki is showing.

Hopefully maybe someone will be able to direct us as to how to find the "final" figures - Florence

  3. I'm unable to get ( without paying a lot more $$ -which we're not inclined to do! ) UPtv -nor--GAC network.....so I'm going to rely on you and the other members here --for "reviews" of the movies on those networks....will keep a list ....and when they are available via this site / Amazon....I'll purchase them! Some of them anyway! Thank you for being a fun and wonderful resource!

    1. Matt, I'm sorry to hear that's not going to work for you. If you can do streaming - you could do GAC Family and UP through Frndly for just $5.99/mo. Their web-site says: No commitments. Cancel anytime. So you could do just November and December for $12.

Other than that, we will do our best to provide great reviews for you... stay tuned!

    2. I am trying FrndlyTV because at that time I wanted to get GAC Family to watch the movies. I have Dish but you can only get it with the lower priced package and give up other choices or pay the higher package and get more junk. I went for the 2nd choice for a few dollars more which lets you record shows for a period of time in case I couldn’t watch when they aired. Seems like a reasonable choice. I also mentioned on another post that the schedule for GAC living which I do get through Dish shows the first Christmas movie will also air there. Hopefully all of them will for those that may not have both. Hope the best for enjoyable watching.

  4. Net, I don't know if it is still going but Fox Nation was having a promo for current first responders...you can get to the page here (and it looks like it is still available:
    https://try.nation.foxnews.com/first-responders/

They had it for vets too but since we are already signed up for it (the one year free vet subscription) I don't know if that one is still available.

    1. Janet, Yes! That is another great offer for Fox Nation! I think it's still available for military, etc... I believe I recently saw a promo for it with Pete Hegseth.

Thank you so much for mentioning that! :)

  5. I meant to mention in an earlier comment that unless it changes, Saturdays schedule for next weekend shows GAC Living listing the new Christmas movie there at 8:00. The same as GAC Family. Hope that means they will be showing all of them, especially for those that don’t have both channels.

    1. JoCo, That is great news for those who only have GAC Living - I'm so glad to hear they are offering this for those viewers! :)

  6. We're watching Mingle All The Way with Jen Lilley and Brant Daugherty.

Hilarious and fuzzy as well with great performances from the secondary characters - Florence
