I hope you all enjoy the Christmas movies airing this week. "Swept Up by Christmas" is a feel-good Hallmark movie; our friend Jane reviewed it as "a sweet, cozy, gentle Christmas movie that's a keeper" and I absolutely agree!

If you like comedy best, "Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater" is certainly a super fun, cheerful Christmas movie! In fact, more of our friends confirmed this with their reviews... Namegirl shared it was one of her favorites and kitkat said "Ashley Williams and Niall Matter are great together!" See more reviews of 2020 Christmas movies *HERE*!

"Picking Up and Dropping Off" is a Christmas movie that first premiered in 2003 on ABCFamily. From what I am remembering of the movie, it is family friendly, but it's been quite some time since I've seen it. Do any of you recall watching it? "Picking Up and Dropping Off" also aired a few years back on INSP during the holidays and they are well known for airing wholesome programming. The movie stars actor Scott Wolf, from the 90's TV drama series "Party of Five" and the Hallmark Hall of Fame Christmas movie, "A Christmas Love Story."

Happy Christmas movie watching!

Blessings, Net

  1. I remember Picking Up & Dropping Out on ABC Channel as they moved to CBS

Firefight was last airing on CBS & moves to HC

Hallmark Hall of Fame was on ABC channel & moved to CBS so, later on, it’s moved to HC

    1. "Picking Up and Dropping Off" actually was not a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. It first premiered during the 25 Days of Christmas programming block on ABCFamily in 2003.

You can see a few details about it on it's Wikipedia page.

Also, as I wrote this it's currently not available to stream, however you can read some reviews of the movie at Amazon.

    1. Me too, Denise! I loved how lighthearted and cheerful it was! Ashley & Niall are both excellent at comedy!

It's always interesting to hear how different the books are from the actual movie. I'm guessing the final result of them getting together will hopefully be the same! :)

    2. It's set in the UK, and the accident happened a little differently.

He's just now moving into her place. I have a feeling this book is not going to be a clean romance.

    3. Denise, I bought this book but have not read it yet. Should I toss it? I tried to return it but it could not be returned. I would appreciate your response.

Watched the movie again last night and enjoyed it so much.

    1. Thank you for sharing that casting info. It seems like a lot of actors are doubling up and doing more than one movie after quarantining in Canada for the mandated 14 days. I'm sure we're going to see a lot more of this, especially with the side characters who most likely have less lines to learn and can easily move from one set to another.
