My Quick Take:

All of you keen observers may have noticed - there is a change in date for Christmas Camp! The new premiere date is THURSDAY JULY 11 at 9pm/8c. It will be premiering during "Christmas Thursdays" on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries!

There's so much to look forward to seeing during the annual Christmas in July event on Hallmark! It's always fun to see so many favorites played again. Like many of you, I also miss many of the classics that no longer make their way to TV. Sure... you can purchase many of them on DVD or watch them on Hallmark Movies Now, but that isn't exactly the same. Anyway, that's the way it is - so, I suppose, we'll have to get used it. When we are blessed each year with an explosion of NEW Christmas movies, of course the older movies have to have some place else to go. That's why it's important to either record or purchase your favorite Christmas movies on DVD while you can!

I'm looking forward to seeing during Hallmark's Christmas in July... A Shoe Addict’s Christmas, The Christmas Secret, Pride, Prejudice, and Mistletoe, The Christmas Card, Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Mingle All the Way, Christmas Wonderland, A Veteran's Christmas, A Godwink Christmas, Small Town Christmas, A Joyous Christmas, and so much more!

What are YOU looking forward to seeing during CHRISTMAS in JULY on Hallmark? Please share in comments below...

Then, be sure to check out my newly revised and updated

Joyous Blessings to You All, Net

UPDATE- June 16th: The newly released Hallmark Channel schedule does not have A Merry Christmas Match listed to premiere on July 13th. In fact, a NEW movie is NOT currently scheduled to air at this time - on that Saturday night.

The schedule was moved around, just a bit, to place Pride, Prejudice and Mistletoe (starring Lacey Chabert) in that time slot. It will be followed by an all new "First Look Christmas Preview Special for 2019" hosted by Lacey Chabert, who also hosted last year's first look holiday preview show.

UPDATE- June 18th: The Hallmark Channel has updated their Christmas in July schedule and the movie A Merry Christmas Match is NOT currently listed. Please stay tuned for further updates!

For all the latest MOVIE updates, please see the Christmas TV Movie Schedule!

  1. is Hallmark still playing a new Christmas movie in July? I am also wondering about the "new movie every Saturday night" theme Hallmark has said they will do all year long. for July, I only see 2 new movies on Saturday nights, but there are 2 Saturdays that appear to play old movies. So maybe it will not be a new movie every sat all year after all?

I was wondering what happened to Catch a Christmas Star and Window Wonderland, so they are on HM Now. I am not opposed to having HMM Now, but I don't have a high speed internet source other than using my phone as a hot spot and watching on my tablet. I am considering trying that cause I saw they have Heartland up to season 10, so I may test it out tonight when I go home and subscribe. But if it is just to slow to watch then I will cancel.

I do wish these movies could be played on Hallmark Drama instead of the HMMNow.

    1. Sabrina, I would rather see the Christmas classics on Hallmark Drama too, but this way, more people will pay for the subscription streaming service. I was really disappointed to see "Window Wonderland," an all time favorite of mine moving there, as I'm in the same boat with my internet service. Watching long videos is typically not an option for me, but please let me know how it works for you!

As for Saturday nights in July, it looks like they are covered, except July 20th, which currently has "A Shoe Addict's Christmas" listed in the Prime Time slot, just before the new "Summer Nights" preview special. There's still plenty of time for the schedule to change, though, and they could definitely place something in... so, we'll see!

      New Movies in July:
July 6- Love Unleashed (Puppy Party Romance)
July 13- A Merry Christmas Match
July 20- (New Movie?) / Summer Nights Preview
      July 27- Rome in Love

I'm surprised they would premiere "In the Key of Love" on July 1st, a Monday night, if they didn't have something else new for Saturday, July 20th. Maybe they are taking a Saturday new movie premiere night off for Christmas in July. We'll surely know more soon!

    2. It’s probably Over the Moon in Love or Shopping for Love for 7/20/2019

    3. I was just surprised they didn't mention A Merry Christmas Match in this press release. I know they did announce it in Entertainment weekly or something, just surprised not to see it here. I am so excited that in 2 weeks, we will get to see Christmas movies all day (PS I am so glad they are doing the all day for Christmas in July, some years in the past they have only done all day on the weekends).

    4. I was also wondering the same thing, Sabrina. Could there possibly be a change in plans for this movie, as well. Different premiere date? Title? I keep looking for it on Hallmark's web-site, but it hasn't shown up - yet!

I'm super excited for the all day & night Christmas movies too! I just keep hoping they don't change the schedule and remove some of the later airings as we get closer to it. I've seen that happen before - so I'm trying to remain cautiously optimistic! :)

    5. Anonymous,
To my knowledge, it still hasn't been announced if Over the Moon in Love, starring Jessica Lowndes & Wes Brown will be a Hallmark movie. Still waiting for more details on that.

And, Shopping for Love will be filming June 24 - July 15, so it won't be possible for it to premiere July 20th. Perhaps, it will be a Summer Nights movie! :)

      Delete
    6. Net -- Correct. Per Wes Brown, at the recent Graceland event to promote June Weddings, "Over the Moon in Love" is/was NOT a Hallmark movie. He told people it was an "independent" movie.

So we have to assume that -- unless and until Hallmark acquires OTMIL, it is NOT a Hallmark movie. Now that is not to say that they couldn't acquire it. They very well could pick it up and put it on the schedule somewhere. I would not be shocked to see that happen at all! But it was NOT a Hallmark movie when it was in production, and Wes Brown is as reliable a source as anyone.

I also think it's important to remember that not every movie with "love" or "romance" or "Christmas" in the title is a Hallmark movie. I know that someone on this page was insisting that Jen Lilley's movie "Stuck Out of Love" (which now has a totally different title) was going to be a Countdown to Valentine's Day movie for this past February -- even though I maintained that Jen herself said in an interview with AfterBuzz TV that it was NOT a Hallmark movie unless they acquired it. It never aired in February, and it is not on the schedule thus far.

Sometimes movies that include "love," "romance," "Valentine," "Christmas" etc. in the titles will, indeed, end up on other networks, or on other streaming services, or go straight to DVD or whatever. Sometimes -- as we saw with the movie "Once Upon a Winter's Date" a.k.a. "Valentine's Again" -- a movie might be promoted as a Hallmark Channel installment, and then it will end up on the Hallmark Movies Now streaming service without ever airing on the network at all.

So many movies are being made these days, for so many different networks and streaming sites, that nothing is guaranteed to be for Hallmark now just based on titles and formerly obvious clues. We usually have to wait for Hallmark or a reliable source from the Hallmark family to say that it is a Hallmark movie, but if a lead actor in the movie is telling us that it is NOT a Hallmark movie, then we have to believe that it is not unless Hallmark picks it up.

And also, at this point no one has said anything about "Shopping for Love" being a Hallmark movie. Again, we can assume it might be for Hallmark because of the title (and because they need to fill the late summer and Fall Harvest slots on their line-ups), but who knows? We have to wait for official, credible confirmation.

      Delete
    7. Exactly! Neither of these films have been announced for Hallmark - yet! Either one could be a possibility, depending of course, on the content of the story, TV rating, etc... For now, it's wait and see!

      Delete
    8. Shopping for Love directed by Paul Ziller whose directed Love on the Slope, Jingle Around the Clock & Ruby Herrings Mysteries

      Delete
    9. Anonymous -- Yes, Paul is directing and we know what he has done for Hallmark. That detail alone, on its own, does not prove anything. There are many directors who have done multiple movies for Hallmark, who also direct movies for Lifetime, UP, Netflix, etc. They are not exclusive to Hallmark. They want to work, so the work takes them to different networks.

There is a big pool of directors, executive producers, lead actors, editors, supporting actors, writers, film crews, production companies, distributors and filming locations used and shared by Hallmark, Lifetime, Netflix, ION, UP, INSP and even lesser known streaming services such as Passionflix and Pure Flix. Even the make-up and hair people bounce around between different networks' productions.

Not only that, but sometimes Lifetime's stalker-of-the-week/women-in-peril movies have working titles that sound as though they could be romantic comedies! LOL

In fact, Lifetime just premiered a movie that was NOT even a stalker of the week installment, called "Very Valentine"! If someone were to just glance at that title without knowing what the movie is about, they might think that it has some connection to Hallmark's own "Very, Very Valentine" from 2018!!

So, while we know that Hallmark is probably the biggest player in the made-for-TV movie game at this moment, just in terms of the sheer number of movies they are premiering in a year, Lifetime and Netflix are also cranking out a whole lot of movies as well, and other streaming services are premiering more new content as well. Production companies are making movies and trying to get networks to take them as well.

Not to mention the fact that sometimes these movies that seem very "Hallmark-esque" end up premiering in Canada only, or on one of the Super Channel-affiliated international channels, and never make it to Hallmark.

The bottom line is that yes, more than likely a lot of titles we see that "seem" Hallmark-ish will go to Hallmark because they make the most movies and they have to fill their seasonal schedules, BUT not all of the movies we see going into production will be for Hallmark, and we can't just assume that they are for Hallmark because of a title, a keyword, a director, a producer, a filming location, or even lead actor/actress.

What i dont understand everyone saying so many movies not possible to show them on the two Hallmark channels on cable alot of older movies moved to place most older people wont be able to watch.truth is if they didnt show same movie 5or6 times a week there would be plenty of time slots for alot more movies.i never thought it would become a "let's make more money" factor from Hallmark.have watched so many years and will continue to watch, just disappointed in programming.Happy Christmas in july to everyone

    12. Oh, good grief.... lol (I am holding my head in frustration.) The sudden disappearance of "A Merry Christmas Match" would certainly fit with why it was not mentioned in the latest Christmas in July press release, but.... what happened to it?

Just recently, the man behind "A Merry Christmas Match" (Jake Helgren) was excitedly telling people on social media that this was the very FIRST time Hallmark picked up one of his movies, and that it was going to air in July. He and his team are so happy about it.

And now it just vanished from the schedule?

I suppose that we are still far enough out from Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel to where they could re-add "A Merry Christmas Match" back in July somewhere, or they could just air it during the holiday season.

I hope they are not just shuffling it off to the Hallmark Movies Now streaming service as a premiere, but I would not be surprised if they did that.

I also hope that Hallmark is not counting the First Look special and the Summer Nights preview special as part of their "new movies every Saturday night, all year long" campaign -- because that's cheating! lol Come on now, Hallmark. Those specials on July 13th and July 20th are NOT new "movies," and you can easily acquire a couple of Christmas movies to air on those dates. So many Christmas movies have already been filmed this year -- and many of them have not officially been attached to any network as of yet -- so it's not like Hallmark cannot grab a couple of them and air them on July 13th and July 20th if, for some reason, they pull "A Merry Christmas Match" from the schedule.

      Delete
    13. Anonymous, I was thinking exactly what you are saying, I guess they will call the Christmas and summer nights preview SHOWS, as the new movie every sat night.

I will say at first, way back when they announced the new movie every sat night, I am pretty sure their wording was something like a new hallmark premiere, so in my head I wondered if that would include if they have a dog show, cat show, or something like the CCB from last year where she goes from city to city for Christmas décor. But as the year has gone on, they have basically been saying new MOVIE. But initially they said hallmark premiere sat night, which left me wondering if we would see either these preview shows, or a movie that has already been on hallmark like winter princess, but premiered NOT on a Saturday, so they could call it a new Sat premiere. They used to do that years ago with the Christmas in july movie. They would play it around the 2nd weekend of Countdown to Christmas and say new Sat premiere, and I was always like "this isn't new, I saw this in July", but it was new to Sat night.

So I am with you, I think the new in these cases are the preview shows.

      Delete
    14. Sabrina -- You're right. The specific wording and phrasing that Hallmark uses in some of its promos and statements can be very telling (or misleading!). Sometimes they will be very specific, so there is no room for confusion. And then there are other times when they word things in such a way that allows some room for interpretation. If they said or say that there are new "premieres" every Saturday night, it could mean a few different things. If they specifically say new "movies" every night, then that it very to the point and straightforward.

If Hallmark is going to use the First Look and Summer Nights Preview shows as the "new" premieres on July 13th and July 20th, respectively, then they should at least air them in primetime, when a new movie would usually be starting, to pull in the viewers who are expecting a movie. But they have those specials scheduled for the usual post-movie premiere slots on the schedule. Once people figure out that there are no new movies on those nights, they might not stick around and stay up later to watch a couple of preview specials.

I just don't understand why Hallmark doesn't go ahead and "sneak peek" two of their already-filmed Christmas movies in July, like they have done in the past. If they can't premiere "A Merry Christmas Match" in July for some odd reason, they could easily run the new Trevor Donovan-Brooke D'Orsay movie one time (on either 7/13 or 7/20) and then maybe run the Chaley Rose/Rome Flynn movie on the other vacant Saturday. Just show them once each in July, and then have their "official" premieres in November or whatever. They would still have plenty of new movies to premiere all throughout the holiday season if they aired two of them on the Hallmark Channel in July.

    1. That's a great question. Maybe they thought more viewers would tune in on HMM's Christmas Thursdays or... perhaps, they thought by premiering this new movie on that night - it would draw more viewers into watching a Christmas movie on future Thursdays!

I also noticed "Christmas Camp" won't have any repeat showings in July.

  5. I thought HM&M might give "Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade" an extra run because they stomped on it when they were having major video playout issues last year (you may remember they would come back from commercial to a completely different movie.)

    No such luck.

Also a bit disappointed as so far I haven't found "One Starry Christmas" on the July schedule.

I suspect that as more and more new movies are made, many of these long-time favorites are going to fall off the schedule. :-(

    1. Bill, I'm also a big fan of Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Unfortunately, it doesn't get the repeat showings like many of the other Hallmark movies do. It is never played during Christmas in July and never repeated after Thanksgiving, which makes no sense to me when plenty of Christmas movies are played on Hallmark after Christmas.

I remember that issue last year with watching one show and then after a commercial break - it went to another. That was certainly interesting. I caught that happening quite a few times, even during Home & Family.

It does appear we will see fewer and fewer of the classics we've enjoyed through the years. I do hope Hallmark will continue to hold on to a few familiar favorites.

Not that anything could ever compare to It's a Wonderful Life, but some of Hallmark's finest films like: The Christmas Card and The Most Wonderful Time of the Year are the It's a Wonderful Life of Hallmark - and why viewers keep coming back, year after year. Thankfully, those two classics still remain on the schedule.

      Thank you for sharing, Bill.

  6. Hi Net, I love the 2015 movie Family for Christmas. I have searched all over the inter-webs for this on DVD but to no avail. :( I'm wondering if you have any info on this title??

    1. Hello iKneed1, Family for Christmas is such a wonderful Hallmark movie starring Lacey Chabert. I'm not sure why that one has been overlooked - when it comes to DVD production, especially since it stars Lacey and she is one of the queens of Hallmark Christmas movies.

For now, I'm sorry, I don't have any DVD information on this movie. If I do hear anything - I will be sure to post it in my Hallmark DVD listings.

      Delete
    2. Family for Christmas hews so close to the plot of the Nicolas Cage film "The Family Man," I am shocked the producers didn't get sued.

      Delete
  7. Hallmark's actual list/schedule for Gold Crown Christmas (on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries website) has not yet been revised to reflect the latest changes (as of today, June 14th, 10:00 a.m.) -- https://www.hallmarkmoviesandmysteries.com/christmas-in-july/gold-crown-christmas-2019

For example, they still show "Angels & Ornaments" on the schedule -- BUT, when you go to the page for "Angels & Ornaments" you can see that the formerly scheduled showtimes have been removed, indicating that it has been taken out of the July rotation. (The last time A&O aired on HMM was in late October, before it was quickly shuffled off to the Hallmark Movies Now streaming service for the remainder of the holiday season.)

Also on the Gold Crown schedule linked above, they are still showing "Christmas Camp" as premiering on July 7th, even though that plan has apparently changed.

I know that fans/viewers are always super excited to see schedules and know when things are going to air way in advance, but I kind of wish Hallmark would not post ANY schedules or ANY showtimes on their website until they have everything set in stone. Otherwise, when they have one version of info (like the schedule linked above) on their site, but then give another version of info in press releases or articles, and then they continue to change titles/showtimes/premiere dates, it only causes frustration and confusion.

I'd rather wait a while to get a complete schedule that I know is NOT going to change multiple times than to get an early version of the schedule that is going to keep changing.

Also, Hallmark needs to STOP changing things after they publicly announce them on social media or in the press. They tell people that "Christmas Camp" is going to premiere on July 7th, and it is them promoted as such, BUT then it's like they suddenly think twice and decide that it's no big deal to switch it to a different night instead -- a Thursday night when many people could possibly miss it, especially with only one showtime. I understand why they are going with a Thursday, but they should have scheduled for Thursday from the beginning and promoted it as such, instead of changing the date post-movie announcement.

If Hallmark was a completely new network, or if this was the first year that they ever had to schedule Christmas movies, I would be much more forgiving about the endless schedule changes. But they have been doing this a while now. And these changes keep happening over and over. NO OTHER NETWORK makes as many changes to their schedule -- or if they do, viewers don't know about it because the networks don't announce dates until they have them fixed and set in stone.

I have no problem with the content Hallmark puts out. I have no problem with the types of movies they want to make. I have no problem with the "quality" that so many other viewers complain about. What I DO have a problem with is the scattered/haphazard way the schedule is handled -- because it not only makes it difficult for viewers to follow, but it also makes it difficult for the actors/writers/directors/producers to promote their work when dates and titles keep changing after being announced.... AND it makes things more complicated for the bloggers/interviewers/podcasters who are trying to cover Hallmark's events on their own sites.

Hallmark is probably a well-oiled machine in many other areas, but they need to tighten up the ship in terms of how the scheduling is handled, even if it means keeping it quiet until they have it finalized.

    1. That is so true! I am constantly checking and double checking information I share here with all of you. Christmas Camp, as you said, is a perfect example. I've also noticed Hallmark hasn't updated their Christmas in July schedules on their site yet. For those who have printed it, unfortunately the information will be wrong.

Like you, I am grateful for the programming Hallmark provides, but it would be nice if they could keep premiere times that are announced in press releases or in preview shows.

When you mentioned actors who try to share premiere information with their fans, I immediately thought of Brennan Elliott at Christmas last year. I lost count on how many times Christmas at Grand Valley changed premiere times, and I know Brennan was doing his best to share all the new times with his followers.

And now we have Sister of the Bride premiering as the last June Weddings movie. I am very much looking forward to it; however, I know many are, understandably, disappointed "In the Key of Love" is not premiering that night, as was previously announced. I'm hoping this does not negatively effect Sister of the Bride, as it's obviously not the actors fault.

It certainly does make it challenging for those of us who are trying to share this programming. I remember changing/updating the Christmas in July schedule many times last year, so we obviously still don't know, at this point, if it's written in stone.

With all the new Christmas movies coming up this holiday season- I'm sure we can expect many schedule and title changes to come! :)

    2. I agree with you Net, as I saw it happen with Love in The Sun, the ratings were very low, most likely cause it was played on Memorial Day, but was supposed to be played when From Friend to Fiancé was played. I do feel it negatively affected Love in the Sun, and well, we all know I thought FFTF was terrible.

I am excited about Sister of the Bride, and was also excited for In the Key of Love so I will definitely watch both, but you can be sure the ratings will be dismal for the Monday premiere most likely cause it is played on a Monday and not cause the movie isn't good.

      Happy watching this weekend! :)

    5. Misty, thank you for sharing those ratings numbers; it's always interesting to see how many people tuned in. I wonder if Love in the Sun did so well on a Monday because it was basically the finale of the Memorial Day movie marathon? I'm sure that was helpful in drawing viewers. Unfortunately, on Monday, July 1st, there isn't anything special like that, just a typical day of Home & Family, followed by an assortment of classic Hallmark movies, leading up to the premiere of In the Key of Love. Thank goodness Hallmark has encore airings, because I'm thinking many will miss it.

    6. Bill, glad you enjoyed From Friend to Fiancé. I thought Ryan and Jocelyn were refreshing, cute, & fun. It was nice to see a relationship form from their friendship. My only wish is... we could've seen more of them falling in love - and much less of mean girl!

In the end, I was happy they got together, and it made me feel good inside that these two finally shared their true feelings.

      Thank you for sharing! :)

  8. I hope Hallmark doing Summer movie called; Aloha, Summer!; in the future

  9. It is too hard to keep up with what Hallmark is doing! They haven't even advertised how they have 'Love Unleashed' for July 6th! I don't get why they just can't wait for the new Christmas movies and put on the Summer ones in July and not August. With all the movies they are putting out, I just see a repeat of last year. I really didn't enjoy last years movies. I hope this year's movies are better.

    1. Misty, That's true... it is hard to keep up with all the new movies, especially when there are new ones every week. I'm anticipating there will be some promotions for Love Unleashed< with Jen Lilley, by the end of this month. Sounds like a cute one!

  10. I just looked today (June 16th) and saw Christmas Camp listed for July 7th, a Sunday.

    1. Hi Misty! The main Hallmark Movies & Mysteries web-site says Sunday, July 11th, for Christmas Camp, but if you look at the calendar, July 11th falls on a Thursday.

I think there is confusion, because it was previously scheduled to air on July 7, which is a Sunday, but it has now been moved to Thursday.

I checked the main web-site for Christmas Camp, and it is still listed for Thursday, July 11th. Since most NEW Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movies premiere on a Sunday, this change in schedule may mix-up many viewers who are wanting to see this.

Hopefully, they will correct this information on their web-site soon!

  11. Christmas in July actually starts on June 27th on the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel. Well, not technically, but there is a Christmas movie on that channel on the 27th at 9PM. After that it's bedtime. Wake up eight hours later and it's Christmas around the clock at 7AM. So the 27th it is. One day sooner. Update your calendars...haha.

    1. That's right, Jim! With Christmas Thursdays on HMM - it will be like an early start to Christmas in July with The Christmas Note! :)

Speaking of calendars... for anyone interested - I have the FULL Christmas in July Schedule for both Hallmark networks - *HERE*!

Thank you, Jim, for sharing the Christmas Joy!

  12. I know I will be contradicting myself but saying this, but I will be disappointed if they don't show a new movie every Saturday night like they have hundreds of commercials on, and keep repeating this line over and over. When they repeat this line s many times, they need to hold true to that, I even saw it repeated many times this weekend while watching Hallmark. With 40 new movies for countdown to Christmas and it being very stressful to watch them all in the only 2 months time from end of October to end of December, I was hoping they could play 1 and possibly 2 and use those as the new movies every Saturday night, then be able to spread more out during countdown to Christmas, and they can replay the movies they play at Christmas in july on a Friday night, and call them "premiering for Countdown to Christmas, and people wont miss them and they can try and get another night of the week under their belt as #2 scripted movie not including news, sports, reality show and on cable but not cable paid like HBO.

I am sure they have a way they do things and a formula, but its disappointing to see them repeat over and over the slogan "a new movie every Saturday night ALL YEAR LONG" and it not be true.

    1. I agree, Sabrina. The NEW MOVIE EVERY SATURDAY NIGHT campaign has been a big promotional event for the Hallmark Channel - and one that has given them great ratings. To leave off a Saturday just doesn't seem right. In this case, it appears there will not be (so far) - a new movie for July 13th or July 20th. We'll see!

    2. "With 40 new movies for countdown to Christmas and it being very STRESSFUL to watch them all in the only 2 months time from end of October to end of December."

Sabrina, after reading your line here I couldn't help but give a little chuckle. You must have OCD tendencies like me...haha. I also sometimes get anxiety and stressed out that I HAVE to see every minute of every new movie and if I don't the mind doesn't have that closure it needs. I sometimes find myself getting overwhelmed by the avalanche of new Christmas Movies that I MUST watch...lol. God definitely sent Net from Heaven to help people like me. She keeps it all organized and streamlined so I don't yank all my hair out in utter OCD madness...haha. God Bless her.

I sometimes find myself getting stressed out over ALL these new movies as you mentioned and I catch myself. I have to step back and see what I'm doing and realize that I don't HAVE to see every minute of every new movie (but but sure I do). Getting stressed out about it completely ruins the experience. It's supposed to be light and fun (which it is the vast majority of the time) but there does come those times where a great thing as this becomes an annoyance because of how I falsely perceive it.

Sorry, I certainly don't mean to lump you in with my crazy. I just had to reply when I saw your comment. I almost felt the stress you were feeling about it.

    3. Oh, Jim, I am definitely in your crazy. I know when I say these things out loud I realize how silly they are, but I guess its cause I just love Hallmark so much. Lately I have become stressed out with the ID channel, I am now recording every single new True Crime show and my dvr is full of those (and now Heartland which I watch first) and just last night I was having a discussion/pep talk with myself that I don't have to watch every single ID show, it will be ok if I don't. But I have become obsessed with True Crime lately, so I doubt I will be able to not record every show. and to add to the stress, in July they are premiering like 5 more new true crime shows. that's when I had the pep talk with myself. I need to pick 5 or 6 and stick with them, like I CAN'T miss On the Case with Paula Zahn, seen every episode and love her, so that show will be on the list.

Oh all the choices we have in our lives nowadays, and on tv, I still remember when to watch channel 33 I had to get up, go turn the top knob to U and then turn the bottom knob. No stress there, except who was going to get up and do that, haha. My parents always made us kids do that.

OCD to the max, but I feel I am in good company if I am with you Jim.

    4. Sabrina...I feel you Sister. We definitely have sensory overload in these days. Just way too many pixels and images flying our way.

I also catch myself getting so lost in the obsessive loop. It actually can really hurt my peace of mind. I sometimes get so lost in the details of everything that I miss out on the beauty and wonderment at times. However there are other times when my soul soars to the heavens and I see nothing but wonderment and awe. Where I feel I'm swimming in the Transcendent. It's in those times that I lose myself in God. I feel his presence penetrating me and it burns away the craziness in the mind. I need to pray to keep things in perspective because it is so easy for me to go off on these tangents where it sometimes feels like I can't escape. It ruins everything.

We had three channels back in the day. One of them was Channel 33 also. I was my Dad's remote control back then (And Oh how I would love to return to those sweet innocent days).

I too love Hallmark so much especially the Christmas stuff as I almost annoyingly sing about in here all the time. I love that there is an innocent God like quality to the movies. I hear the Christmas sounds playing and see the twinkling lights and all the love and friendship abound and it makes me return to the childlike spiritual wonderment and awe that I mentioned above and for those most cherished moments I come out of the turmoil in my mind, outside of myself, and drift into something beyond the worldly.

Thank you for the kind words. Team OCD (Obsessive Christmas Disorder) all the way...haha.

    5. Jim and Sabrina.... I love it - you two! I think when Christmas in July is on the way... we feel that extra squeeze... knowing all of the new Christmas movies will soon be approaching. My recorder is also full of last years Christmas movies + all the new Saturday movies too and Sunday mysteries!

It was a relief to think we would have 2 of the 40 new
Hallmark Christmas movies in July, but since the second one, A Merry Christmas Match, is not showing up on the schedule, we may still have 39 to go... which is still wonderful and overwhelming - all at once!

Thank you and Bless you, Jim, for all of your sweet, thoughtful words on IAWM and me! It truly pleases me so that you enjoy coming here and seeing all the latest news. I do my best to keep everything updated and accurate, but that's not always easy when schedules change around, movies are renamed or pulled from the schedule altogether. That's why I appreciate when you all catch something like that and let me know. We make a wonderful team, and I'm grateful the Lord led you here!

Sabrina, I feel just like you do - with the mountain of Christmas movies to come. I keep telling myself to take them one by one... and enjoy the process, but I still get that overwhelming, how am I ever going to watch them all feeling! But then I try to put it all into perspective... and see them all - each and everyone - as a blessing!!! :)

    1. I also wondered that too, but... the Hallmark Channel updated their Christmas in July schedule and the movie A Merry Christmas Match is NOT currently listed - at all. I checked Friday & Saturday nights. It's possible they may still add it back in, but this is quite confusing, right?

I find it hard to believe they would premiere a NEW Christmas movie in July on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and not one on the Hallmark Channel. I guess we'll see...

  14. Net, I sure like watching some of the Hallmark Christmas shows in July. It gives me comfort seeing them, especially with the hot summers that we get in California. I enjoy watching the new movies every season, but will they have the old shows on as well, cause some of them I really love?

Enjoy the Summer days, Net. Just trying to stay cool here in the sunshine state. : )
