Hope you all enjoy both of the Christmas movies this week! These are two I really like (hope you do, too!) - especially because of who's in them! So, I can't wait to sit back, relax, and re-watch them again!

I was also wondering, for those of you who played the Merry Madness bracket, how are you doing? Mine messed up - because I kept choosing movies I thought would most definitely be winners, like: "The Nine Lives of Christmas" and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: For Christmas" and others, too! Unfortunately, I'm definitely not on the leader board, but I sure hope you are!

Enjoy walkin' in a winter wonderland again!!!

Joyous Blessings to You All! Net

  1. I love Christmas Next Door so I am excited about this. I enjoyed Christmas at Grand Valley but for maybe 2 little minor things, I wondered if anyone else noticed:

1--when Brennan had told the shop owner that he remembered that shop as a kid he went in there and they remembered him, and that the very same musical instrument (I forget if it was an accordion or something to that) but they said it was the same one that was there then. REALLY???? I am not sure how old Brennan and Danica were supposed to be in that movie, but I am going to say 40 and if that same musical instrument was there for 30 years then they are very bad at selling..

2--I was unsure how the ranch in Wyoming was a place you would go to outside of the "city" and that city was Chicago. if she was going back to the "city" soon I would think that might be Cheyenne but not Chicago.

and what's funny is those 2 things are what makes me like the movie even more. The accordion being the same since Brennan was a kid just makes me laugh. But I thought Danica and Brennan worked very well together and wouldn't mind seeing them together again.

    1. Thank you for sharing this, Sabrina. I'll be sure to look for this segment you mentioned. Since they played "Christmas at Grand Valley" so late in the season, I only watched it one time. Do you suppose the shop rents out the instruments? I know some places do that, but even still, if it was 30 years later, I wouldn't think it would be in mint condition. Very interesting!

  2. My merry madness brackets are all way off, cause I didn't pick when calls the heart to win. I meant to pick that, but as I kept going thru, I was picking the ones that were my favorite. I too picked things in some brackets that I thought everyone else would too like SSD and Nine Lives, but they don't have any when calls the heart actors so I guess I was wrong.

I am just a tad disappointed in the Merry Madness game and that's just my own 2 cents. I like doing these things where you pick your Hallmark favorites and see what everyone else's are, but it seems its always the same answers even though that is not reflected in the ratings or the entire book of movies Hallmark has. I am always skeptical of things that you can have multiple brackets and multiple ways to vote for the same things. But I know this is my own issue and nothing at all against anyone else, its just not fun anymore like it might have used to been.

I love all our Hallmarkies and love that Hallmark is growing and we are all growing together and its such a great community.

    1. I know just what you mean, Sabrina! I've been wondering, since we are able to fill out 10 different brackets then how does that ultimately effect voting. I mean, the first bracket I filled out I chose movies I love best. Then, the next time I tried to choose what I thought would be winners. Other rounds, I chose for different reasons... not always necessarily choosing my favorites. Ultimately, by everyone filling out so many different ways, it seems this also must effect which movie was truly the ultimate favorite.

I, too, have been quite surprised with the results this time around, and I imagine, I'll be surprised by the winner, too!

You are so right, the Hallmark community is definitely growing, and I value all the friendships I've made - like you! :)

  3. Jim, I love that we get to see Christmas each week, too... it's so great we don't have to wait for Christmas in July or Late
October for the Christmas movie season to begin!!!

Sorry to hear your Merry Madness bracket is a bust, too. I haven't checked my actual score by number today, but I know it must be bad after I watched the latest results on Home & Family this morning. I also noticed (sadly) they changed the image for "Homegrown Christmas;" they also changed the image on the game on-line for "When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing." It is interesting to see how well WCTH is doing, in spite of everything that has happened.
