The weekend has finally come... let us rejoice in it and let this relaxation time set in!

Saturday is always a good time to enjoy an all new Hallmark Channel movie! I can't wait to see what Kavan Smith and Autumn Reeser are cooking up in "Love on the Menu!"

And Sunday... Are you joining me in opening our hearts once again to an all new season of "When Calls the Heart?" Last season, I admit, was a bit rough. I was expecting it at the end, but didn't want to admit it. However... now, I am happy to see the characters put most of that sorrow in the past, and I'm looking forward to seeing them move on to brighter days ahead in Hope Valley!

Since "WCTH" premieres now at their new time, 8pm/7c., hopefully that means more families can watch together... and then, as soon as it's over, you can watch the new Chronicle Mysteries movie starring Alison Sweeney live at 9pm/8c.! I've been saying for so long this would be better timing, and I'm so delighted, Hallmark agrees!

Have a Wonderful, Blessed Weekend, Everyone!

  1. I'm looking forward to the Chronicle Mystery. The one last week was excellent and Allison is always a favorite and the supporting cast was well above the Hallmark average.

I'm continuing to skip WCTH. The attitude shown by Lori and others associated with the show last year ensured I will continue to avoid any movies or shows they put out for Hallmark. My nieces and nephews also find the show unwatchable as Jack was the only reason they tuned in.

I will be checking out the new Autumn Reeser movie. She's been a favorite since I do, I do, I do.

    1. Thank you for sharing. I know we all have different feelings regarding WCTH. We invested so much time in our enjoyment of the show and this couple. It is sad it had to end in such a way. I'm sure there will be many others who share your opinion and will also skip it.

As I've shared before, my devotion to WCTH goes back to the stories written by Janette Oke, in which this series is based upon. As a little girl, I was given one of Oke's books and it opened up my world and love of literature. That's one of the reasons why I have decided to carry on with the show, and another, is that I love so many of the other characters, especially Rosemary and Lee!

Again, thank you for sharing your heart. I do hope you enjoy both of the new movies- "Love on the Menu" and "Chronicle Mysteries!"

      Blessings, Net

    2. I hate to ask, as this sounds like a sore point, but what happened with Lori and others? I missed it. If it is too sensitive, I understand.

  5. We won't be watching WCTH either. Characters come and go on tv shows, but the character of Jack was handled so poorly by Hallmark. They should have just come out and said that the actor was leaving the show. They dragged it out for 2 years....
Thank you for the heads up on the new Autumn Reeser movie. We enjoy her acting.

  6. I just started watching WCTH and am still in season one. I think if I watch this season it will spoil the story for me. So I will skip it and catch up when it is added to Netflix.

Was it just me or did anyone else think last nights episode of WCTH was a little slow?

    1. I thought it was rather easygoing - for the first episode. It was nice to see all the familiar faces back again on WCTH. I'm glad they didn't bring all the new people in for this first one. The telephone was fun and exciting to see. What an incredible thrill that must have been in that day to see it and hear it ring for the very first time. It's funny how we think nothing of it today, even though it is still such an incredible invention.

A lot of the couples (or potential couples) were cute, too: Rosemary & Lee, Clara & Jesse, and Carson & Faith. Should be interesting to see even more excitement to come in future episodes with the arrival of Chris McNally & Kevin McGarry!!!

  9. Oh, Net, Elizabeth's baby boy is adorable. I couldn't get enough of the scenes with him in it. Looks like he will be raised by all the ladies of Hope Valley!! LOL!!

  10. Lucas Bouchard comes to Hope Valley in Episode 2 of WCTH

When Nathan Grant will be coming to Hope Valley on WCTG?

2 suitors: Lucas & Nathan for Elizabeth's affection.

Whose will Elizabeth choose Lucas or Nathan?
