    1. Me, too, Jennifer! Sally is so fun, plus Aurora needs her BFF to keep her in line!

    2. Why can't I watch teagarden 2018 mysteries on youtube. 2015 2016 2017 is on youtube. I live in Israel I CANNOT WATCH IT on T.V. I don't think it is fair. Reap what you sew is 5 months old already I think. I would appreciate a reply. thanks

    3. Unfortunately, those uploads on YouTube are typically done through illegal measures, and those sharing them don't have the proper rights to do so. It may be on DVD in the future, but not yet.

Thank you for your comment, Susie! It is so wonderful to be able to speak to you in Israel! That aspect of internet communication always amazes me! You have such a beautiful country.

I do wish the Hallmark Channel could be offered to you there. I'm sure you would enjoy it there very much!

  2. So this is essentially based on the novel "Poppy Done to Death" but under a new title. Wonder why they changed the title. They did the same thing with "A Fool and His Honey" and changed it to "A Bundle of Trouble".

    1. they change a lot of titles from the original or book version. Some of these films when they show on Pixl have original title but will show again on Hallmark under the hallmark title. weird stuff.

    2. Yeah, H.R., they changed the title while filming. Must admit, I'm glad... never did like "Poppy Done to Death." Kinda creepy.

tvh, That is so true about PixL. Sometimes... I'll catch a title and think I haven't seen that one, but after I look at the story a little closer, I discover I most certainly have!

  3. So who is Niall Matter playing?

    1. Great question. I think it's too soon for him to be Aurora's love interest, after Martin leaving, but maybe they've introduced him to be Aurora's future opposite. We'll see!

    1. Totally agree, Joyce!!! Can't wait to see Sally back and who-dun-it!!! (Please be anyone, but Niall... or Arthur's (Peter Benson) real wife, Julia Benson!)

    2. Is Jason Dell related to Perry Dell?

      Where's Perry?

      Delete
    3. Yes, Jason Dell is Perry Dell's cousin. His character first appeared in "A Bundle of Trouble: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery." However, at that point, he was portrayed by another actor, Keenan Tracey. In this movie he is being portrayed by James Rittinger. Not sure where Perry is in this movie... perhaps, it will be explained. His character seems to often come and go.

  6. I’m honestly surprised by who the victim is in this newest “Aurora Teagarden” movie. I saw the trailer before I read the synopsis and when the announcer said “the crime hits the heart of the real mystery club family”, my first thought was something might happen to Martin (especially since he dies in the book series). I guess this is Hallmark’s way of keeping the door open for Yannick Bisson in case he wants to return to the series.

    1. I'm just glad, Sally, it's not someone we've come truly close with knowing, like Aurora's best friend, Sally. That would be truly devastating for "Aurora" fans. And, I know Martin will be terribly missed when this new movie airs... as it will be very different without him.

Thank you for sharing! Blessings, Net

  7. I wonder what the future of the series will be. So far Hallmark has been strictly sticking to adapting the books. They inverted books 1 and 2 (A Bone To Pick was Book 2). After that they stayed in order (Movie 3 was based on book 3, Movie 4 on Book 4, and so forth). This is the ninth adaptation which is an accomplishment in it of itself. I never thought Hallmark would reach this far so hooray! However we have a predicament on the horizon.

The tenth movie will be based on "All the Little Liars" (Book 10). So far this series is averaging 3 movies a year. The problem here is that there are only 11 books in the series. We have a brand new one that came out last year called "Sleep Like a Baby" so its safe to say that there will be a Movie #11. However, after Book 11 there is only a short story left called "Deeply Dead". I wonder if they will adapt the short story as its own movie.

The question here is whether Hallmark and Candace Cameron Bure will want to continue will original stories or stop the series. They could do original stories until the next novel is written, boom--adapt it, and then so forth.

Sorry about the long post but I thought I would share this observation. Maybe share it with others to ask their opinion?

    1. I enjoyed your observation, HR! That's an interesting thought... especially since, as you mentioned, the Aurora movies have been following the books rather closely, thus far.

I do know, the Garage Sale Mystery movies are also originally based upon books, as well, but there are way more movies, then books, with that particular series. I'm sure they've bought rights to all the stories and characters, and can most likely adapt any story they want. Most of all, it should be interesting to see how well the movies do, beyond this point, without Martin. I personally hope they continue...

I loved Flower Shop Mystery and Murder She Baked Movies and now they're over, and Signed, Sealed, Delivered's future seems uncertain, although I am holding on to hope that there may be more stories to tell there, as well. Aurora, like SSD and GSM, is one of the originals...so I certainly hope it will keep going...beyond the books!!!

  8. Only recently got into these, and blew through them all very quickly. Really enjoyable.

That said, its sad when cool characters have to disappear because of other commitments (like Sally & John in Last Scene). Having seen the spoiler about Martin and the books, I'm curious to see what they will do with the character.

  9. Please try to bring Martin back!!! He real help the show! Glad Sally is back. I will not be watching because Martin is not on it.

    1. I, too, will not be watching because Martin is no longer in the series!

    2. I know many are disappointed Martin is no longer in the movies, but if it makes you feel any better it was actually the actor's decision to leave, not the writers, producers, or other cast members. I'm sure Aurora still has some interesting mysteries to solve!

    3. I was broken hearted when Martin died in the book and was relieved when he did not die in the movie. Was so so disappointed to find out he was not going to be in the latest movie, although it was not a big surprise with his exit in the last movie. I will continue to watch the movie series, but Yannick Bisson was by far my favorite character. So sad that he as chosen to leave this series.

    4. Me, too! Hard to believe a character that was so enthralled with Aurora would change his mind.

  10. I think Martin is a great asset to the movies, and perfect for Aurora. When I read he was going to die, my heart broke. Yes, in The Last Scene when he's going to leave, I thought this would be him dying and out of the picture. I know he's been starring in "Murdoch Mysteries" but he is perfect in Aurora Teagarden. Don't let him die!!! He's a reason I keep coming back although I love Candace and Marilu. I know that Sally and John (the real actors were doing a play or movie somewhere together), but I missed them, too.

    1. I didn't watch the last movie, and probably won't watch the next if he not going to appear and any of the scenes. Its just not the same without him!!

  11. I was sorry to learn that there will not be any more "Murder She Baked" mysteries. Was that the actor's decision or Hallmark's? I think fans of the Hannah Swenson series would have enjoyed at least seeing her Marry Mike.

    2. I love all their series. I hate that Martin is out as Aurora's love interest. I also hate there are to be no more Murder, She Baked. Allison Sweeney is so good in the role!

    3. I know... Murder She Baked was my second favorite after Aurora TGMystries. Soon sad!

  12. Cannot wait to see this new Aurora movie!!! I am ok with no Martin. After all, it was the actors decision to leave. I understand why Capt. Lynn wont be in this one and am super excited about Niall and everyone else, including Sally! Should be a great movie.

I'm very curious to check out the film locations. They filmed this movie and the next one at the same time. It was during that film shoot that I happened upon the circus but could not find where they were filming that day. This movie....and the next....will help me solve the mystery!

Al always, great write up Net!

  13. Please bring Martin back to the Aurora Teagarden series. He helps to make the movies along with Aurora. It’s going to be heart breaking not to see him tonight in “Reap what you Sew”.

  14. It was not as good without Martin or John. Missed them both. I do love the series though and hope it will continue. Please try to get Martin and John back.

  15. Missed Martin a little, but not as much as I thought I would.

  16. Having Sally back was great, but it was weird not having Martin, John, and Lynn on for this one. I saw your note above that she had maternity leave. I'm so glad, no one else needs to go.

    1. Niall Matter is actually in the next Aurora movie, not this one. Candace informed viewers ^ (see comment above) of this error in Hallmark's press release.

  18. You could tell some were missing. Didn't seem to have the same chemistry. They play so well off each other. Thankful that they didn't kill Martin off. John definitely needs to return.

  19. Great question, Julie! Many were wondering the very same thing!

Thankfully, Candace shared this bit of news...
"Niall is actually in the NEXT movie, not this one! @hallmarkmovie mixed up the movie posters."

So, that's why we didn't see him! They must have accidentally mixed up the press photos for the movie. I will be updating the pics above.

  20. This was certainly another interesting mystery element to the movie... it seems there was an error in the press images Hallmark sent out.

    Candace shared this news...
"Niall is actually in the NEXT movie, not this one! @hallmarkmovie mixed up the movie posters

So... mystery solved! I'm glad we can, at least, look forward to seeing Niall in the next Aurora movie!

  22. Please bring yannick Bisson back as the character Martin Bartell!!!! I am sure Hallmark as well as Candace can work around his busy shedule; the character of Martin Bartell gave this series a great deal of strength and leverage. Please do not make a mistake and eliminate this individual. there have been other television series who have eliminated popular/extrodinarily strong characters and the shows have lost considerable fan bases, and eventually this resulted in cancellation(s).

  23. WHY HASN'T NIALL MATTER GOTTEN HIS OWN SHOW ON HALLMARK MOVIES AND MYSTERIES.

HE IS A VERY TALENTED ACTOR........PLUS HE LOVES HOCKEY LIKE I DO !!

  24. Wish they would bring Martin back.

  25. Too many changes..When Calls The Heart Daniel L. leaving. Huge hole there. Devoted Murder She Baked fans left hanging. Falling in love with Aurora and the Martin story line. It makes you not want to get attached. What they don't understand is we watch to escape what we lose in real life and now the same thing is happening in "our escape" life.

  26. Is the character of Sally being killed off in the upcoming Aurora Teagarden Mystery? That is certainly the impression I was left with after seeing the current promotional trailer now showing on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

  27. I'm no longer setting DVR for this series. Early Roe was light-weight,half hysterical running everywhere she went. Martin brought substance to his character and hers. Think Roe now is boring and mom is acting half her age...not becoming. I'm done...more avenues to get entertainment out there.

  28. I just hope Yannick will want to come back to Aurora Teagarden Mystery. The character of Martin is so necessary for this series. Martin & Aurora are the reason I watch this show. They are that good together. I know Candace doesn't like kissing scenes, but she is an actress and the man she loves, who also loves her back, that just has to happen. Martin's character can return since he is still alive, and I hope that will happen. It just makes the so much more of real life and very pleasurable to watch. Something happy in a relationship is very much needed. Their chemistry is awesome together...
