Hope you all have a lovely autumn weekend!!! If you get a chance to watch one of these shows - be sure to stop back by and let us all know how you liked it!
I LOVE CHESAPEAKE SHORES, I DON'T WANT IT TO END. IT HAS BEEN THE BEST TV SERIES OF THE SUMMER.
ReplyDeleteMy husband & I have watched all of the episodes of Chesapeake Shores and enjoyed them so much but, we don't understand why the writer left us all hanging at the end of the season finale. Trace gets a call about his father being in the hosp. and then he's stopped by a sheriff and handcuffed and we never knew what happened with his father, or with Trace. What a strange and weird ending!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm also never a fan of cliff-hangers but I think that if they wrapped everything up too nicely, there wouldn't be a clamor online for another season. Now people are being vocal online about how the season ended, and it's showing Hallmark and the advertisers that there is a vocal and large fan base for the show. This can only help with the renewal of the show.
DeleteBonnie, I am in total agreement. I have very much enjoyed this series, however poor Trace gets arrested while Treat Williams (the character name escapes me--Mick?) is singing the praises of his children at a campfire. It was just strange how it segued from something terrible into the O'Brien family's greatness. It would have worked better if, during that scene, Abby got a desperate phone call from Trace and then had to dash off, leaving everyone wondering what is going on. My two cents, but overall have very much enjoyed the series and hope Hallmark picks it up for next season. I also liked Cedar Cove, and the last season had quite a cliffhanger, but the show was cancelled. I hope CS doesn't have the same fate.
ReplyDeleteBarbara, It was nice to hear from you and know there's someone that feels the same as I do. I'm sure there's lots of people that feel the same but may not say anything. They left this as if it will be another series but, there's nothing to indicate there will be. Hopefully, there will be enough request, or complaints, if we can find out who to write to, and maybe they will change their minds. We really need to find out what happened to poor Trace, and his dad, and if Trace and Abbey ever gets together. What a lovely couple. We, also, loved the series, When Calls The Heart. It was on for 3 Seasons and I understand there will be a Christmas movie, and will be a Season 4 in 2017, which I hope I understood all of this correctly.
DeleteThank you Barbara & Bonnie for sharing your thoughts on Chesapeake Shores. My family and I enjoyed each episode, too!
DeleteI just heard that the overall ratings for Chesapeake Shores run on Hallmark was really good - so I'm quite hopeful we shall see the O'Brien family return, but unfortunately no official word has been given, yet, from Hallmark. If they can work it out with all the actors involved, I'm sure they will do their best to give it a second season. It was a refreshing series for the summer, and I know all Chesapeake Shores fans are left wondering, what happens next? Surely they wouldn't have left so many unanswered questions if they, too, weren't hoping to return to answer them.

You should definitely let Hallmark know how much you enjoyed this series, possibly via Twitter or Facebook.
And, you are absolutely right, Bonnie, 'When Calls the Heart' will be airing their own Christmas movie on December 25th, Christmas day on the Hallmark Channel and season 4 premieres in 2017, with cast regulars Erin Krakow, Daniel Lissing, Lori Loughlin, and many others!!!
Thank you both so much for commenting!!!
Blessings!!! Net
Hi Net,
DeleteWas so good to read what you wrote about Chesapeake Shores. Sounds very encouraging to think we may be seeing them, again, even though there's been no word, yet. It was such a great show to look forward to watching every Sunday night. We will really miss it. I will try to contact Hallmark and let them know how I feel.
Thank you so, very, much for confirming "When Calls The Heart" will be having a Christmas Movie December 25th, and a season 4, in 2017. How exciting!!! What a great show this has been and hope it will continue for a long time.
I appreciate all the hard work, time, and effort you put out keeping up with all the movies that will be showing and news you share with us. Can't imagine how much all of this requires of you but, I'm sure thousands of people really enjoy and appreciate it so, very, much, also.
May God continue to bless you life.
Sincerely,
Bonnie English
