Hallmark *Christmas Movie* Casting News!

Actress Lacey Chabert (Party of Five, All of My Heart) recently did an interview with People Magazine in their "People Babies" article which enthusiastically shares one of the most joyous times in her life, as she and her husband Dave Nehdar reveal they are expecting... a little girl! If you read the full article, here, you will instantly know that they are absolutely overjoyed with the excitement of welcoming a little one into their lives!

Also, within the article, there was a bit of Hallmark *Christmas Movie* news! Lacey Chabert will be starring in Hallmark's "A Wish for Christmas", which according to other sources is in production now and filming soon... April 25, 2016 to May 13, 2016!

It will be interesting to see how they will deal with Lacey's pregnancy, with the storyline.

Lacey Chabert has previously starred in four Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies... "Matchmaker Santa", "A Royal Christmas", "Family for Christmas", and "A Christmas Melody"!

It will be so much fun to see Lacey Chabert in an all new Hallmark Christmas Movie again this year! And, the title "A Wish for Christmas" is so appropriate - since all her dreams and wishes, in reality, are all coming true!

*Thank You to our movie friend here at It's a Wonderful Movie:
Sherry in California for discovering and sharing this casting news above... and for helping me confirm the Christmas casting news below, too!

More Christmas Movie News...

Recently I shared casting news on another upcoming Hallmark Movie, "The Last Christmas". Starring in this film, are Jill Wagner, Chelsea Reist, Marci T House and P. Lynn Johnson.

And, we have also learned of another cast member, actor Wes Brown (June in January, Love Under the Stars)!

Wes recently shared this Christmassy pic on-the-set of "The Last Christmas" on Instagram with all of his followers:

Wes Brown typically stars in dramas or period movies, so it will be nice to see him in a lighthearted film. I believe this is his and Jill Wagner's first Hallmark Christmas movie!

So, that's the *Scoop* for now!

  1. I wonder how they'll work around the pregnancy because her bump is pretty prominent.

    1. With all due respect, that "bump" is a baby. That's just one of the modern pregnancy phrases I cannot stand.

I wondered the same thing! I was saying to Net that I suppose it's always possible that some scenes (not all) could have already been secretly shot early this year, and the rest of it will be shot now.

Or... maybe the pregnancy will be worked into the story?

Otherwise, I would suppose that Lacey will just end up wearing a lot of giant coats or standing behind chairs and Christmas trees and things like that.

The other curious thing is that the Joey Lawrence movie that Net included in her Christmas Movies News 2016 blog has the same title as this Lacey Chabert movie, though his movie is supposedly for Lifetime and Lacey's is for Hallmark. There doesn't appear to be any evidence to support Lacey and Joey being involved in the same movie -- but Joey's movie was already filmed late last year or early this year.

It goes without saying that either Lifetime or Hallmark will have to change the title of the movie. Hallmark changes titles quite often, so I would expect that they will be the ones to do it.

    3. Actually the term is fetus :)

    4. Oh yeah, I hear all the expectant mothers I know say they are expecting a fetus. Get real.

    5. Sherry, good point on the same title. I remember seeing that Joey Lawrence movie on Nets 2016 list. Funny to see Joey go to Lifetime. Surprised Hallmark hasn't used him again since that one where he and and that girl pretend they are dating.

As far as same title. They may not change it at all. Seems like there are so many movies with the title I'll be home for Christmas.

    6. The Joey movie you referred to is Hitched for the Holidays.

    7. They'll either incorporate the pregnancy or hide the baby bump

    8. Lacey posted an adorable bts pic saying everyone on set has BUMPS.

Lacey said that her character in the movie is not pregnant, so she is using a lot of purses and bags to hide the pregnancy.

  2. Awwwww.....I'm so happy Lacey's having a baby girl and that she will be appearing in another new Christmas movie this year!! She's one of my favorites and I pray blessings upon her new family addition.

  3. Lacey looks beautiful! What a nice story to hear someone so happy & pregnant! I'm happy for her and her husband. What a lucky little girl to already be so loved and wanted.

  4. Exciting to hear they will still do a Christmas movie with Lacey! That probably means we can still expect to see all the others who typically do Christmas movies!

  5. Wes Brown is lookin' good! Sharp shoes!

  6. Just thought of something - maybe in Lacey's new movie, her "Wish for Christmas" is...a baby! Her pregnancy would fit right in the shooting of the movie! And how ironic this would be, given the real-life story of her pregnancy this past Christmas!

    1. That's one potential scenario, anyway. Good thinking!

  7. Given Hallmark's normally extremely condensed shooting schedule -- they've shot movies less than a month before airing them in the past -- I would hope that they're shooting this movie with Lacey now, rather than waiting, because she's pregnant, which hopefully means it will be incorporated into the storyline. I sort of hate the big coat, giant purse, carrying presents feeble cover-ups.

  8. Slightly off topic, but I don't remember ever seeing the results of the 2015 favorite movie polls. Did I just miss them?

  9. Just saw on Lacey's blog that shooting has begun and Paul Greene (Christmas Detour) is also starring.

You haven't been checking Net's Christmas Movies 2016 blog! I discovered the Paul Greene news over a week ago and instantly reported it to Net! :-)

    2. Ooops...you are right, Sherry, I missed that! No wonder I was surprised when I didn't see anything posted here about the casting!

Lol. I know what you mean, Mark. I think that the Christmas Movies 2016 blog gets forgotten or overlooked because it doesn't appear on the main front page of this site every day. People have to remember to click on the link and check it, and even then, after some folks have looked at it, they may forget that Net updates it all the time, whenever any info comes in about ANY new Christmas movies.

I would bet that a lot of people don't even realize that the list of Christmas movies in the works for this year is already up to 37... and still growing!

  10. I hope you all don't mind a fashion question---Can anyone identify the adorable purse Lacey's character has in her blog about her pregnancy and "A Wish for Christmas"? Here is the link to the photo and blog:
