Ernest Borgnine Tribute
TCM will give tribute to Ernest Borgnine, the Academy Award winning actor, who passed away at the age of 95, on Sunday, July 8, 2012.
Mr. Borgnine was a good friend of TCM and on July 26, 2012, TCM will pay him respect with a 10 film, 24 hour, Movie Tribute.
TCM - July 26, 2012:
6:00 a.m. - The Catered Affair
8:00 a.m. - The Legend of Lylah Clare
10:30 a.m. - Pay or Die
12:30 p.m. - Torpedo Run
2:30 p.m. - Ice Station Zebra
5:15 p.m. - The Dirty Dozen
8:00 p.m. - Private Screenings: Ernest Borgnine
9:00 p.m. - Marty
10:45 p.m. - From Here to Eternity
1:00 a.m. - The Wild Bunch
3:30 a.m. - Bad Day at Black Rock
5:00 a.m. - Private Screenings: Ernest Borgnine
Unfortunately, I have not seen many of the Ernest Borgnine Movies mentioned above. I do happen to love his movie, Marty. It is a most interesting film and you just can't help from falling in love with Ernest Borgnine as Marty, in it. He won the Academy Award for best actor.
We tip our Hat to Ernest Borgnine in honor of his Career, Accomplishments, and Service to our Country in the U.S. Navy!
And now, as Mr. Ernest Borgnine eternally rides off into the Sunset... we'll always remember him as "One of the Good Guys!"
"God bless him and his family..."

I love the movie Marty, too. Was able to catch it again last night. There's just someting about the way Ernest Borgnine portrays Marty that I just love and I'm not much of a TCM watcher but this movie always gets to me. Glad you mentioned it. Made my night.
