*Summer Nights* Movie Event?
images: Hallmark Crown Media |
The Hallmark Channel premiered FIVE NEW ORIGINAL MOVIES as part of *SUMMER NIGHTS*...
"Love on Safari," "A Summer to Remember," "Love at Sea," "Pearl in Paradise," and "Season for Love."
Please share "YOUR TAKE" on this recent block of Original TV movies in comments below by answering these Two Questions...
(you can choose more than one for both questions!)
1. Which "SUMMER NIGHTS" movie did you like/love the most?
2. Which "SUMMER NIGHTS" movie poster (above) do you like best?
Looking forward to hearing all your responses! Thank you, in advance, to everyone who shares below!
Oh, and if you're curious what movies were well-loved last year, see them *here*!
1. Enjoyed Pearl in Paradise, Love on Safari and Season For Love most.
ReplyDelete2. Favorite poster is Season For Love
Would love to see Marc Blucas and Kristoffer Polaha in more Hallmark movies...they’re great in lead roles!
Totally agree, Erin... love both these guys as leading men! More of them would most definitely be a good thing! :)
Delete1. Love at Sea is my favorite Summer Nights Movie
ReplyDelete2. Love at Sea is my favorite poster too!
I can't believe Summer Night movies are over...This Summer has flown by...but it still so hot!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie is Love at Sea...I knew it would be, because as a kid I always loved watching Love Boat.
If I had to ranked the others it would be
Pearl in Paradise...loved both leads actors
Season for Love
A Summer to Remember
Love on Safari
My favorite Poster would be...Pearl in Paradise.
Thanks Net for always doing this post...it is always interesting to see others responses.
Oh my goodness, I always enjoyed watching The Love Boat, too! I think I watched it during the rerun phase, but even still... it was always "exciting and new."
DeleteThank you for sharing... so good to hear how much you enjoy doing these after each block of movies! :)
Love on Safari for both 1 and 2
ReplyDelete1. Which "SUMMER NIGHTS" movie did you like/love the most?
ReplyDeleteLove on Safari
2. Which "SUMMER NIGHTS" movie poster (above) do you like best?
Pearl in Paradise
LOVE AT SEA was # 1 as soon Carlos sang "Can't take my eyes off you" it got me...was amazing and fun....as for the poster Season for Love...it looks like summer with the Ferris wheel...brings back memories of being on one and the feeling you get when you are coming over the top...not a fan!
ReplyDeleteSydney, that moment Carlos sang in "Love at Sea" touched my heart too! It is such a beautiful scene, and I heard Alexa cried the first time he sang to her there! Isn't that sweet? It makes that scene even more meaningful!
DeleteAlso, love the thrill of the Ferris wheel... as long as it isn't rocked! And, that feeling when you come over... whew... I know just what you mean, and yet, I still love it!!! :)
My favorite movies were love on safari and a summer to remember though they were all good. Favorite posters would be all of them actually.
ReplyDeleteThis is an easy one for me, Season of Love for both questions. I definitely liked this movie the best. A Summer to Remember and Love on Safari are close for 2nd favorite.
ReplyDeleteMovie: Pearl in Paradise (it's wonderful!)
ReplyDeletePoster: I usually don't pay much attention to the posters, but I guess Season for Love is cute.
Pearl in Paradise for both!
ReplyDelete1. FAV. MOVIE: "A Summer To Remember"
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous locations and LOVED seeing the diverse cast. I'm of a Caucasion skin complexion and am beyond bored of seeing people who look exactly like me on my tv screen. So that was one of the elements I adored about this particular movie. I also felt transported to the resort, imagining myself there with them, enjoying a perfect once-in-a-lifetime holiday.
2. FAV. POSTER: "Love At Sea"
Let's be honest here, this is one gorgeous couple! (Not to mention the wardrobes, like the ones you featured in a previous article! SO PRETTY!!) They're also so at east around each other, they always give a warm feeling when ever you see them opposite each other on screen. So to me their movie poster was straightaway more inviting, making me want to find out about their story.
~ Joanna
Thank you, Joanna, for your wonderful answers, and thank YOU for mentioning my Alexa PenaVega Fashion post! That was so sweet of you! I'm so glad you enjoyed this fashion feature! I agree... her dresses and everything were, indeed, soooo Pretty!!! :)
DeleteBlessings, Net
Ahh I made so many typos; so sorry for that. I was writing from my phone.
DeleteAnd may God bless you too! :D
I'd like to make an amendment to question number 1! I hadn't yet seen "Pearl In Paradise"... Love love loved it. :)
DeleteDefinitely Season For Love. It brought back so many childhood memories and I just love Autumn Reeser! Summer has flown by, and now I’m so excited for the new Fall Harvest movies! - Melissa
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful, Melissa, that "Season for Love," brought to mind childhood memories for you. I know just what you mean about Summer flying by... it always seems to that! :)
DeleteThey were all good movies, but I loved Love on Safari and Season for Love the most, as well as the Love on Safari poster.
ReplyDeleteLove on Safari & Season For Love...sorry had to pick 2!
ReplyDeletePoster: Season For Love
I would do the same thing, Joyce! It's so hard to pick a favorite when there are so many good ones! :)
DeleteMy favorite movies "A Summer to Remember". & "Pearl in Paradise" because of both movies were filmed in Fiji
ReplyDeleteMy favorite poster is A Summer to Remember
I hope Hallmark will make a movie about Underwater Resorts in the future in Fiji - submarine so, the movie called; "Love Under the Sea"
Your "Love Under The Sea" story idea sounds awesome! :D
DeleteThat's a fun suggestion and great title! You never know! :)
DeleteSeason For Love for both!

It's a great list of Hallmark Summer movies, but not exactly how I would personally rank them. I'm sure we would all have different lists. There were a few I would definitely rank higher, and a few others... I would definitely rank lower. Overall, it was a fun marathon for Labor Day weekend!
Blessings, Net
I have a feeling Summer Villa will be #1
ReplyDelete- Melissa
I think Season for Love is # 1π€
DeleteThanks for continuing to do this, Net! It's fun to see everybodies picks.
ReplyDelete1 Best movie - Pearl in Paradise or Love at Sea (I couldn't pick one over the other!)
2 Best Poster - I'm going to say same - Love at Sea, Pearl in Paradise and Season for Love, I love that Ferris wheel.
Thank you, Anna... I'm so glad you enjoy sharing and seeing what everyone else chooses! :)
DeleteI've been watching the countdown on TV and frankly, I'm surprised at where a number of them have ended up. I would never list them in this order. I'm wondering how they came up with these numbers.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. I’m wondering myself.
DeleteYes, I totally agree, Anonymous & Onita! Like I shared above, it was not the way I would list them, or even the way I expected Hallmark to rank them.
DeleteI almost feel like it diminished the overall feel of some of the films, as if they weren't all worthy to be #1. Each one of those movies were the best movie - to someone.
I also haven't heard how they chose where each movie would be ranked. Did someone vote? If so, I never saw this take place. Would be rather interesting to know how these rankings were chosen.
Thank you both for sharing!
My guess would be the tv ratings....surely?? It has to be because some of these are pretty old. Stranded In Paradise came out in 2014.
DeleteI was also wondering if the ratings had a hand in the decision; however, then I thought, watching a movie doesn't necessarily mean we enjoyed it. So... who knows? It's a Hallmark mystery!!! :)
DeleteYes, Hallmark can baffle us at times with the decisions they make. I would be very upset to find out they just stuck movies where they wanted to on the count down!! That would be so unfair! Thanks for all you do Net....Blessings to you!
DeleteI think they had Season for Love #1 because it was Labor Day, and barbeque and Labor Day go hand in hand. I also happened to like that movie too. And I think Summer Villa was #2 because it was the very first official Summer Nights movie played. before 2016 they didn't have Summer Nights theme. So it was special and such a wonderful movie.
DeleteI was surprised not to see Summer of Dreams higher as I know Hallmark really caters to the Hearties, and because Wedding of Dreams is on this weekend.
If they ever did a voting in the future, it should be you can only vote once, and cant have multiple accounts. Sometimes I don't think it is fair that a group gets together and votes hundreds of times for the same movie. Just my opinion.
I also think.......they should figure out a way to fit in 2019 a Fall Harvest top 15 or 10. I would love to see Fall Harvest movies being played all day and night as they played these summer movies.
Pearl in Paradise
ReplyDeleteSeason for Love, on both counts!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I loved each and every one of these summer movies, two stood out a tiny bit more for me. "Love on Safari" and "Love at Sea". I couldn't even rate them because I wouldn't want any "one" to be "last", Lol!! Loved the posters too!!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way, Linda. I don't mind sharing one or two favorites, but I dislike saying this "--- fill in the blank ---" movie was last. It's just not in us, is it???
DeleteOh, and I agree... they are all pretty great posters! Only one I would change would be Lacey & Jon... I just wish I could see more of them! :)
Pearl in Paradise, new but Summer Villa my all time favorite.
ReplyDeleteLove on Safari is one of the best Hallmark movies of all time. It has all the elements of love, location, beautiful scenery, amazing views, great animal scenes, and the depth of African culture and chemistry of the right people combined. Wow! Make more of these! Thank you so much!
ReplyDelete#1-Love on Safari
ReplyDelete#2-A Summer to Remember
#3-Pearl in Paradise
but it was great to watch all the new and old movies!
Favorite Movie and poster: A Season For Love, helped that it had my favorite Hallmark actor! I enjoyed all though, and being transported to exotic places and cultures.
ReplyDeleteFantastic Hallmark! Thank you for all you do too Net!
How sweet! Thank you, Becky! I'm so glad you enjoy visiting here. :)
DeletePearl in Paradise and a Summer to Remember! I love Jill Wagner and Cameron Matheson in everything!
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed the Beach House with Chad Michael Murray, but it was not on the list.
I agree, Onita... "The Beach House" would fit perfectly amongst the summer Hallmark movies, even though it technically premiered during the spring. The beach is always synonymous with summer!
DeleteThank you for sharing your favorites! :)
I loved them all this time around! If I have to choose I give the edge to Pearl in Paradise, for Jill & Kris., Love at Sea for Alexa & Carlos, Season for love, because of Texas and Autumn and Marc! I'm with Joanna above, Alexa's clothes in Love at Sea are so PRETTY!!!
ReplyDeletePoster: Love at Sea and Season for Love
xoxoxo, Em
Thank you, Em! Glad you loved Alexa's clothes too! She truly looked fabulous in "Love at Sea." It was great fun to share where to get some of them! :)
Delete1. Pearl in Paradise
ReplyDelete2. Pearl in Paradise / Love at Sea
Season for love for both!
ReplyDeleteHi Net! Thanks for visiting my blog. I am so glad to find someone who loves the Hallmark movies as much as I do. I think the best new Summer movie was Pearl in Paradise. I was just glued to my seat watching that. And it wasn't your usual boy meets girl, conflict, boy and girl get together movie. They could have left out all the romance and it still would have been good.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing Catherine Bell do something other than the Good Witch too, although I do love her in that part. It has been a great Summer for sure.
Thank you, Kathy, for sharing! "Pearl in Paradise" has certainly been quite a popular favorite for many! You're right, it was fun because it had more than the typical rom-com story!
DeleteAppreciate you stopping by and saying hello! Blessings, Net
Somehow, in all the summer movie madness, I kept missing Summer in the Vineyard, the follow-up to Frankie’s and Nate’s story. I really hope that Hallmark releases them on DVD together and/or uses them as a basis for their books.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can catch an encore airing one of these days; although, I don't see one on the schedule, yet. There is a third "Vineyard" movie in-the-works, so... it will surely be replayed whenever that eventually happens.
DeleteThere is an encore airing showing on Hallmark Channel's web-site now for "Summer in the Vineyard"! It is Friday October 5th at 6:00PM/5c.
DeleteAlso, if you're interested, "Autumn in the Vineyard" has two encore showings on Sunday October 7 10:00PM/9c. AND Thursday October 18 8:00PM/7c.
Hope you are able to catch them! :)
Blessings, Net
Pearl in Paradise...any movie with Jill Wagner automatically wins hands down.
ReplyDeleteAgreed 200%
DeletePearl in Paradise in both.
ReplyDeleteThe chemistry between Kris and Jill was spot on. Very charming movie.
Alicia
I loved them all
ReplyDeleteEach was different and brought different emotions to me.
I enjoyed the characters and the plots.
Love on Safari made me want to visit Africa and the love of animals great or small
A summer to Remember reminded me to slow down as well as put Figi on my wish travel list
Love at Sea reminded me of Love Boat-- I loved the singing too
Pearl in Paradise was just fun--I enjoyed the mystery
I want to read the BOOKS
Season of Love made me hungry for great barbecue as well as remind me of love of family
It was a good summer of movies
PS I might add I loved all of the mystery movies too
I wish Hallmark Mystery Channel would try to have a new one each week too.
The combo of a fun romance and then a great mystery in a weekend is what I call relaxing .
Janice, thank you for sharing your love of all these movies! It was, indeed, an excellent block of movies this Summer! Like NK's comment above, I love your "Love Boat" reference. It gave me that feel too! :)
DeleteBlessings, Net
I choose Love at Sea for both. It's finally nice to see a little diversity on the Hallmark Channel.
ReplyDeleteYes, that was very nice. :)
Delete1 Pearl in Paradise - Favorite Movie
ReplyDelete2 Season for Love - Favorite Poster
Pearl in Paradise for both.
ReplyDeleteThis movie was above average on all of Hallmark movies. The story/script was well written and the casts were well picked. Chemistry between the leads was awesome; contrasts between them was great that after spending time together, they get each other's habits which added some depth to the characters. Way to go Hallmark!
DITTO!!!!!!
DeleteSo hard to pick! I would say "Pearl in Paradise" and "A Summer to Remember". I enjoyed learning about the cultural aspects in both movies. I would say Pearl in Paradise was Jill's best Hallmark movie to date! "Season for Love" was cute too but it was just less unique and a typical Hallmark story-line.
ReplyDeleteLove at Sea wins best poster! The Penavegas look perfect and gorgeous!!!
I finally got a chance to see all the Summer movies- so I can say my favorite finally is Love at Sea! I've watched it almost every time it's been on, and I agree with CH Mom, the PenaVegas are gorgeous! I pick Love at Sea for best poster too!
ReplyDeleteI watched all the movies twice and came up with a conclusion:
ReplyDeletePearl in Paradise was the best 2018 HC summer movie.
You can either believe that both leads are astounding actor/actress (which I do) or both went into the movie without a script but just lived their parts. That's how it comes across. They were so good together. Thanks for all you do, Net.
Hands down, Pearl in Paradise topped them all.
ReplyDeletePearl in Paradise was the best. Have watched it about 6 times. Love the movie and hope they put it on dvd. Also, I liked Love At Sea. RG
