Hallmark Press Release:
ORIGINAL MOVIES FOR ANNUAL
Alexa PenaVega, Maggie Lawson,
(And... UPDATE: Actor Paul Greene!)
STUDIO CITY, CA – April 11, 2017 – Hallmark Channel sets wedding bells ringing in new, original movies every Saturday night this June, honoring marriage’s iconic month with its annual “June Weddings” programming event. Highlights this year include “The Wedding March 2,” (Updated title name: "Wedding March 2: Resorting to Love") a sequel reuniting the original film’s stars, Jack Wagner (“When Calls the Heart,” “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and Josie Bissett (“The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “Melrose Place”) in a fresh tale of unexpected romance.
Joining them in the various festivities are fellow Hallmark favorites Alexa PenaVega (Spy Kids, “Nashville”), Jack Wagner (“When Calls the Heart,” “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Josie Bissett (“The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “Melrose Place”), Maggie Lawson (“The Great Indoors,” “Psych”), Pascale Hutton (“When Calls the Heart,” “Sanctuary”) and Kavan Smith (“When Calls the Heart,” “Supernatural”).
Hallmark Channel’s June Weddings stunt in 2016 built on the enormous success of the inaugural programming event in 2015. In 2016, June Weddings delivered the #1 movie of the week for four consecutive weeks and boosted the network to rank as the #1 cable network in its 9-11 pm time slot. The 2016 event also posted double-digit gains in households, W25-54 and total viewers.*“Hallmark Channel is thrilled to have its own tradition with ‘June Weddings,’ a ‘something new’ to celebrate love and commitment,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks.
“These four new original films and the stars associated with each is the caliber of glitterati that pairs well with golden rings,” Vicary concluded.

Kavan Smith and Pascale Hutton in a movie together? Cool! As a Heartie, I fear I may have difficulty seeing them as anybody but Lee and Rosemary, though! Looking forward to seeing Maggie Lawson in a Hallmark movie. Loved her in Psych! I wonder who her male costar is. It doesn't say.
ReplyDeleteSo true, Amy Lama! It will be hard to NOT see them as Lee and Rosemary! It was a perfect pairing since the day they coupled them together on WCTH!
DeleteUsually, most characters on Hallmark are looking for love, so it's fun to see these two happily in love and enjoying married life. I'm a Heartie, too, so I wouldn't miss this for the world, but like you, I will be constantly thinking of our dear Rosemary and Lee!!! :)
Can't wait for June, Net! Love the reviews of all the upcoming wedding movies especially "Bridal Boot Camp". Pascale and Kavan are adorable together and one of my favorite couples!
ReplyDeleteLove the Easter headline, Net, such a wonderful reminder of who loves us best. Happy Easter and blessings to you and everyone!!
Yes, Lee and Rosemary.... I mean, Kavan and Pascale are absolutely adorable together!!!!! I hear there was a lot of laughing on set - so this should be a lot of fun to watch!!!! I can't wait for June, either!!!!
DeleteI can't wait to see Bridal Boot Camp. I love Lee and Rosemary and can't wait to see the Kavan and Pascale in a movie together. Plus out of the four summaries, their's sounds the most interesting to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to this one, too! Love them both so much on WCTH! Thank you for sharing, Stephanie!!! :)
DeleteI hope they will make a movie called; "My Wedding Album", in the future for Hallmark Channel movie
ReplyDeleteI am so ecited for Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith together. They are so cute on WCTH. I am in love with KS. I LOVE him playing a bad guy, I recently saw him in the Garage Sale Mystery and he was so hot as a bad guy. I also love him as a good guy, I cant wait for this. I have also recently become a big fan of the Wedding March, anything with Jack Wagner is awesome, especially when he is being funny. June Weddings 2017 looks like a success already. Nice to see Alexa back for June Weddings again too.
ReplyDeleteI am completely baffled by The Wedding March 2 unless I'm misunderstanding the preview blurb.
ReplyDeleteWhat were we supposed to take from the ending in the original movie? Does this mean that we should be questioning the endings in other movies? This is disturbing.
The other three all sound intriguing.
According to What's Filming Wedding March 2: June Wedding is the title of the movie
ReplyDeleteThis is the official Hallmark press release. The title may still change, so we'll see!

ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean, but I'll definitely be watching, too! Those two have great chemistry on screen together!!! :)
DeleteWedding Boot Camp for Brides & Grooms get in shape for their Wedding Day
ReplyDeletehttp://www.weddingbootcamp.com/
I saw during WCTH finale KS & PH said they were on set of their movie, and it said it was The Perfect Bride (I see you updated that). I wonder why they change the names so much? I can't wait for June weddings.
ReplyDeleteThe movie titles can change around, quite a bit, at times. Some movies will have a name they go by while filming, that's called wt - a working title, and then, when it premieres the same movie may have an altogether different title.
DeleteI'm sure there are lots of issues that must be considered. First of all, they want a unique title, that won't be confused with another movie and there are copy rights to be considered, legalities, and so forth...
The movie "Love You Like Christmas" with Brennan Elliott and Bonnie Somerville was originally titled "Meant to Be." It's a good title, that honestly reflects the story, but it's not very Christmassy... so, I think that's why it was mostly changed. There's also a song, sung by a band at the end of the movie, and the song title is "Love You Like Christmas!" So... There could be many reasons why they change a title. They also changed the title of Alicia Witt's movie a couple years back to go with her song "I'm Not Ready for Christmas!"
We just always have to keep our eyes and ears open for any changes like this! :)
Oh, and I wanted to add... It's really a good thing they changed the name from "Bridal Boot Camp" to "A Perfect Bride," because there is another TV movie (which hasn't premiered, yet) with the exact same title! Perhaps, they wanted to avoid any confusion with that or there were legal issues. Who knows!?!!?
DeleteWhat is the name of the song being used in the Hallmark commercials regarding the start of the June 3 2017 wedding movies. It goes something like "baby, your my buttercup and you lift me up"? FYI-it's not the one from the Musical group the Foundations.
