Hope you all enjoy this last weekend in January and the new movies. The main actors in Butler in Love are new to me - so I'm curious to see them in this all new movie premiere. I think we are rather used to familiar faces on Hallmark; it's somewhat unique, yet nice, to see some new faces on the network.

As for UPtv's new premiere, Love & Where to Find It, you may recognize the lead actress, Elise Gatien, from her supporting roles in the Hallmark movies: Moonlight in Vermont, Ms. Matched, Love on the Sidelines, Perfect Match and the Signed, Sealed, Delivered the series. Her co-star, Clayton James, has been in the Hallmark movies: Don't Forget I Love You, Christmas on My Mind, Right in Front of Me, etc... plus, Blueprint to the Heart (UPtv), As Gouda as it Gets (BYU), and Christmas on the Menu (Lifetime). It's nice to see actors who often play supporting roles get the lead in this one.

Please Note: I have not pre-screened these new movies above. If you would like to post a review on whether these movies are family-friendly, please share in comments.

Blessings on your weekend! Net

  3. What movies are you looking forward seeing this weekend?

  4. I'm hopeful about Love And Where To Find It - it sounds like a movie I should enjoy.

I'll reserve judgement in Butlers In Love - at least we can't say Hallmark aren't trying something different.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out - Florence

  5. Butlers in Love is pretty good, and pretty funny. It's also clean, so no worries about anything uncomfortable. -Maria

    1. Maria, Wonderful to hear this news from you! I always know I can trust your opinion. So nice to know you enjoyed it.

      I posted your review here:

  6. Butlers in Love is family friendly. Emma’ Conroy’s dream has been to become a butler when she was 10 years old while she’s watching Plumshire Mayor. When she gains entry to an elite butler academy called; “American Butler Academy”? Emma arrives in Maryland while riding in a yellow taxi with
New York license plate instead of Maryland license plate at American ButlerAcademy & Emma finds herself in a world where teamwork is everything, even though she prefers to work alone. Emma believes her classmate,
    Henry Hawkins

cops an attitude because he comes from a family of royal butlers. He acts like he doesn’t even want to be at the school. In reality, Henry doesn’t want to go into the family business of buttling. Instead, his dream is to become a chef. Charles Wiloughbt’s real British accent was refreshing. Henry is truly legacy Butler in his family business but he wants to be a chef, not a Butler. Henry trains Emma in Butler way with high tea & 5 course Dinner plus soup, cheese plate, & dessert. Emma is offer as underbutler at Kensington in Scotland & then she quits. Emma sees Henry & she stops the taxi. So, Emma as a royal Butler & Henry as a chef work at the hotel restaurant with other butlers.

    1. Thank you for sharing this detailed review with us! Always nice to hear a movie is family friendly! :)

There’s only 10 Butlers at American Butler Academy. Henry gives Emma a tutor - High Tea is everything perfect & 5 Course Dinner - soup, cheese plate, & desserts. What’s a bummer, Jared left American Butler Academy? Henry wanna be a chef rather than a butler. Henry’s parents named Phillip & Dana Walker visit their Son; Henry whose they’re invited by Mr. Willoughby. Henry cooks peanut butter cookies & Beef Wellington. Emma is official butler work as underbutler for Duke of Wellington in Scotland🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 when she quits for few days. Henry’s Dad hands a box of cuff links but he stood up his parents when he wanna be a chef, not a family butler. While Emma is talking to Henry in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 & she has an idea πŸ’‘. 8. Stacey Farber looks like Melissa Gilbert while watching her in Butlers in Love

  11. The Valentine Competition

This movie not family friendly that may contain mature subject matter

Catherine’s mother named Debra was an over the top villainess of the mustache-twirling variety. When 600 pallets of flowers are ordered by accident, Jack teams up with Catherine, creating a contest? The contest asks residents of Valentine, Oregon, to design the best Valentine's Day Garden ever, for a chance to win a backyard makeover from her Mother’s garden.

It’s will air in Canada on February 15, 2022
    The Valentine Competition

    1. Thank you for sharing this link and movie info, especially the warning on subject matter. Wonder what that means?

I remember when I heard about this movie filming last year, which seems so long ago now. I checked out a few reviews on IMDB and no one mentioned the questionable "mature subject" content, but they did say it was quite similar to the Lifetime Christmas movie, "Christmas on Chestnut Street."

Even still, I'll have to check this out sometime. Appreciate you letting us know! :)

    2. The Valentine Competition isn’t unsuitable for children

"Viewer discretion advised" refers to "adult" content that is unsuitable for children, and for some adults as well. It means that adults should make a conscious decision whether or not to watch it, and be VERY careful about lettng children see it.

  12. I am happy to report that Butlers in Love is family friendly! I was on the fence, but I was so glad I watched, as it was family friendly, very original (I even looked up butler academies and they certainly exist!), and the leads were very sweet together. It was nice to see Maxwell Caufield, as well. Highly recommend!

    1. Savvy Girl, It's wonderful to receive your recommendation! Your opinion means so much to me.

I shared your review, along with the other new movies from January, - here! Thank you! :)

  13. Joyce in CarolinaMonday, January 31, 2022

Love and Where to Find It is family friendly but a very unorganized story line to me. Slow pace and the ending just felt unfinished.

    1. Joyce, Thank you so much for sharing this review! So glad to hear it is wholesome, in spite of the ending. I know what you mean about that, often times the stories are wrapped up too quickly and it would be nice to have just a little more.

I posted your review, along with the January UPtv movies here:
