  1. Is baby it's cold inside a sequel to Winter Castle?

    1. Not sure if it's a sequel, but the movie definitely takes place at another Winter Castle!

  2. Yea, this is great. Delighted to see Steve Lund back - I don't think Hallmark use him enough and it fills up one of the "blank" spots in late April/early May.

Although it's a different cast did I read somewhere that is a sort of sequel to Winter Castle?

    1. Yeah, that last picture totally looks like the same chapel area where the wedding took place in the first movie. I thought they rebuilt them each year, though, so maybe it's just the same design plans?

I was also happy to see Steve Lund again - he was so great in "Unlocking Christmas!" Plus, Jocelyn Hudon too! She looks so pretty with blonde hair, I almost didn't recognize her, at first; I'm so used to seeing her with her brown hair. She looks great either way!

  3. Seems an odd time of yeer too for the new Steve Lund movie.

You'd have thought it would have aired in January or February.

  4. Seems odd to have a winter snow movie in May, but ok. I know some people were saying this was the ice hotel part 2, but I guess its different people? Does look good :)

    1. Sabrina, I was thinking the same thing. I really thought they would hold on to this one for next year. I mean, I'm glad we didn't have to wait to see it, but it doesn't seem to fit for May.

  5. Why not save the Ice Hotel until winter fest?

    1. Misty, Exactly, I think we're all thinking the same thing here. Why have a winter themed movie in May???

With everything going on in the world, you'd think they would want to hold on to some movies in advance, just in case they couldn't film again and save this for winter next year, but I guess that's not the plan.

I felt the same way about One Perfect Wedding. It certainly didn't feel like a Spring Fling movie, at all, with all that snow.

It would be nice to see some movies in May about Mother's Day, Graduation, or Memorial Day, etc...

Hopefully Sweet Carolina or Hearts Down Under will have more of a Spring/almost Summer feel to them. The pics from Hearts Down Under make it look promising - with Cindy Busby's bright, yellow floral dress and the boats in the background.

  6. We really haven't seen Kevin McGarry outside of WCTH recently but he's just announced on a Paul Green Podcast that he's making a movie with Lacey Chabert!

Lacey surprisingly seems to be making quite a few new movies at the minute.

    1. I heard that casting news, too. I was kinda surprised Kevin McGarry shared it before Hallmark announced it, but the scoop is out there.

Yeah, that is something that Lacey Chabert is filming another one - she's been extra busy lately. Sweet Carolina just finished filming on April 2nd!

  7. With the pandemic, they probably have to fill in with what they have made or else have to buy off the market, and sometimes those are lesser quality movies.

  8. I will take a Steve Lund movie any time of the year! Love this guy! The Christmas Cottage is a favorite of mine. Interesting title; Baby It's Cold Inside. Should be fun to watch!

  9. Don't get me wrong, I do like Cindy Busby - perhaps surprisngly Romance In The Air was one of my very favourite movies last year.

However, you can get overkill - she never seems to be off the screen nowadays!

    1. I agree with you. I am not a fan of Cindy Busby and I skip those movies.

    2. I think that the best Cindy Busby movie is A Godwink Christmas Meant for Love.

One man has been bringing up intense emotions in Elizabeth lately.

One man that she keeps running from b/c the feelings she has for him are too real.

One man who’s love she will soon embrace.

    That man is Nathan Grant.

  11. I just saw hearts down under and thought it was very cute! Net, I had a favor to ask you....do you by any chance know who sings the song at the end of the movie? I tried to type in the lyrics and search for it and I can't find it! You had helped me find another song (the song in the premiere for when calls the heart) earlier this year so I thought if anyone can help me, maybe you could :)
No pressure! Just thought I'd ask!

    1. Found the SONG from Hearts Down Under! It's the one at the very end - "We are Golden." The singer is Jazz D'Arcy.

If you check out another one of her songs - "Hold My Hand" on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5x4qi6UU9w) - be sure to read some of the comments below. Various people discuss her songs from the movie Romance on the Menu, which was the original title for Hearts Down Under. I couldn't find this song on Amazon or Spotify, yet, but it sounds like she plans to release them.

She also mentions the movie in an old post on her Facebook page. You'll probably want to check that out for any updated info or releases.

Anyway, I was glad to find this info for you. I'm always up for the challenge!

Also, thanks for sharing a review - I posted it above! :)

    1. Debbie, I keep hearing "Baby it’s Cold Inside" is a sequel to "Winter Castle," but I'm not quite sure, other than location, how the two tie in together.

    1. Yes, the new title for the May movies is "New Movies in Bloom" -- I think it sounds cute; unfortunately, "Baby, It's Cold Inside," which is the first movie to premiere in May, doesn't fit that theme at all.

  14. Fan of Lacey and Tyler (loved him and Erin Krakow together!) so looking forward to "Sweet Carolina".

Off topic but Net, have you heard any news about "When Hope Calls"? Really liked that series.

    1. Moody, There were rumors last year that "When Hope Calls" was returning for a second season, but lately, I've heard nothing. I'm hoping seeing Jocelyn Hudon in this new premiere will spark the Hearties interest in encouraging the return of "When Hope Calls."

I would certainly love to see "When Hope Calls" return. I watched an episode just the other day, and oh my, it is truly fantastic! They built that entire, beautiful set just for this show. I can't imagine they would just film one season and leave it there, but it may not be the direction Hallmark is heading these days. Sadly. I know so many people (myself and my family included) want to see what happens next with Lillian and Grace!

If you like, you can contact Hallmark and let them know...

Hope this helps! I know I'm definitely going to be reaching out. :)

  15. I was so excited when I learned that Lacey Chabert and Tyler Hynes were starring together in the new movie Sweet Carolina.

I watch Hallmark hoping to see a good romance with some angst thrown in but the impression I'm getting from watching the preview at Hallmark Channel is that this is more a family "drama".

Of course it is very hard to judge from a short preview so here's hoping..................
