With more than 500 hours of Christmas cheer airing on UPtv this year - you'll want to be sure to check out all of their new Christmas movie premieres, plus cherished classics from the past, like the remake movie from 1994 of Miracle on 34th Street. The first film from 1947 is still a traditional, standard film favorite, but this re-make doesn't disappoint by staying authentically true to the original and adding their own twist to this heartwarming story.
Miracle on 34th Street (1994) - 20th Century Fox Starring: Richard Attenborough, Mara Wilson, Elizabeth Perkins, and Dylan McDermott |
Storyline courtesy UPtv: "Six-year-old Susan has doubts the existence of Santa Claus. Her mother told her the "secret" about Santa a long time ago, so Susan doesn't expect to receive the most important gifts on her Christmas list. But after meeting a special department store Santa who's convinced he's the real thing, Susan is given the most precious gift of all - something to believe in."
This amazing story is a powerful statement of love and faith. Do you believe? I know I sure do!

I hope many of you enjoy watching Miracle on 34th Street tonight on UPtv. One of my favorite lines from the movie is from Kris Kringle, when he says, "Oh, Christmas isn't just a day, it's a frame of mind..." That is so true, and if we can hold that spirit in our hearts all year round, then that is the greatest gift!
There's nothing quite like watching Susan's child-like faith in Santa Claus awaken, as Miracle on 34th Street inspires that innocent fascination and wonder in us all.
