  1. Anyone know when this was filmed? Looked like there was real snow and it was cold when filming.

I think it is real snow! It was filmed in Minnesota, back in January (possibly early February, at the latest), if I recall correctly.

  2. It was filmed in Northfield, MN, that's near Minneapolis, MN

  3. I really loved "Love Always, Santa." Very well done! It was neat to see both of the leads grow and overcome difficulties. I liked how they handled Celia losing her husband and her journey to love and happiness again. Terrific acting, especially the little girl, Lily. The two leads were very sweet together and had good chemistry. I loved Jake's character...he was so adorably sweet! Hope this movie goes to DVD!

  4. I couldn't hear the Irish quote Santa referenced. Can anyone tell me what it was?

  5. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
    From an Irish headstone

  6. This was sooo beautifully done! The setting is just wonderful, the actors and actresses are amazing, even the supporting roles. I adore Lilly! The writing is superb... everything feels natural and not forced. It's not the kind of Hallmark movie storyline I usually love but I truly love this one. What a gem!

  7. Love Always, Santa is hands down my favorite Christmas movie of 2016 so far. I didn't expect to love it so much, because the whole "child's only wish for Christmas is for her/his mom/dad to find love" plot has been done so many times, but there's just something special about this one. Compelling characters superbly acted (the little girl is amazing!) and a well-crafted story with a lot of depth. It just really works!

Being a lover of books and words and the craft of writing, I loved the literary angle. I also loved the potato cannon. That's something my younger brothers and their friends love to experiment with every 4th of July. I've never seen it in a movie before.

  8. The comments was right!! It was so good!!!
    Merry Christmas

  9. I often watch Hallmark Christmas movies for a laugh at how awful most of them are. Handsome guy, beautiful woman, blah, blah, blah. When I happened upon this one I expected much of the same. However, the acting was exceptional; the story although a rehash (but what film isn't these days) was thoughtfully presented, and the events did not seem forced. None of the awkward falling on top of each other, or both reaching for the same thing and touching hands... And there was actually snow and you could see the actors breath! Reality -- what a concept. The supporting characters, especially Jake's publicist, are not to be forgotten -- very well done all around. A fine holiday treat.

  10. You might have assumed, though, that a published author would know that "a lot" are two words... ;)

  11. What is the name of the Christmas Song played on the radio in the lounge room that the girls were dancing to before the guy came in and turned it down?
