Thank you again Net for all that you do to help us with our Christmas TV watching! A most blessed Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteI thought that "On the Twelfth Day of Christmas" was quite charming -- it was a 'sleeper' hit in this year's Countdown to Christmas, I feel. It kind of flew under the radar in all of the buzz surrounding the 2016 Countdown. The 2 leads in it -- while each having worked on projects for Hallmark in the past -- are not extremely familiar or prolific on the channel. I didn't know what to expect of the movie, but I thought it was delightful. The leads were good. The concept of the story was good. The supporting actors were good.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else here like it, or am I alone in this? Lol.
I cannot even believe that the final 2 new movies of the Countdown are going to air next weekend. The time has flown by so fast!
I absolutely loved this movie too - it was completely full of good will!
DeleteI watched Dashing Through The Snow and it surpassed my expectations! Loved it and so wish it was on the regular Hallmark Channel. It better make it to DVD!

Wow, I was so disappointed with Dashing Through the Snow. Just shockingly bad. And I know a lot of people really enjoyed it. But the whole FBI angle was laughable with everyone running around in the control room and ignoring all logic and reason. And the two kids who kept showing up just to exchange license plots? Way too much time was spent on them. And what was the point of the puppy? It didn't need to be there are it played no part. This movie just really needed some editing. Way too many things thrown in that didn't work at all. I understand that it's a Hallmark movie and you have to suspend disbelief but this was just too much for me. Just not good source material from Debbie Macomber. Too bad but for those who don't get Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, consider yourself lucky.
ReplyDeleteI... was not really a fan of this movie either. And I feel guilty saying that, because this is the second Debbie Macomber story-turned-movie in a row that I have not really cared for. I was not a fan of "Mr. Miracle" in 2014 either, at all. I liked "Dashing Through the Snow" better than "Mr. Miracle," for sure, but it didn't live up to any hopes or expectations I had. I wasn't interested in the FBI angle or the license plate kids. And, as you said, even though it was adorable, there wasn't much of a reason for the puppy to be there.
