via ION press release:

Dean Cain stars as a ski-resort sheriff who inadvertently arrests a sleeping Santa in the snowy woods on suspicion of a crime he did not commit. With his sleigh ride now in doubt, Santa is put on trial. But, during the proceedings, Sheriff Hanson, also a dad and widower, begins to fall for Santa’s court-appointed defense attorney, Sarah.

While responding to the report of a broken down vehicle on Christmas Eve, Scott Hanson, a ski resort town sheriff, stumbles upon a sleeping Santa in the snowy woods. With his sleigh ride in doubt after spending nearly a year in a coma, Santa is put on trial to defend his identity. As the small town learns to “believe,” Sheriff Hanson, a dad and widower, also begins to fall for Santa’s court-appointed defense attorney, Sarah.

  1. Dean Cain is certainly building a resume of Christmas movies.

  2. He sure is & I won't be able to watch any of them because I don't have a t.v. =(

  3. remake of miracle on 34th street, but this move is GOOD. make me cry when the courtroom stood up and said I BELIEVE IN SANTA. this is a crisp, fresh update of a classic.

  4. Super movie !!! Need more movies like this one, showing the human side, to the power of prayer, to helping the less fortunate, to LOVE.

  5. This movie is exceptional! Don't miss it! I will watch it at least 3 more times before Christmas!

  6. worst movie ever. it's like a naked gun type parody classic x-mas movies but not in the least bit funny or endearing. just when you think it couldn't get worse, the toy airplane bobbling around on fishing line 'special effect' just had me shaking my head. superman crashes and burns in this one

  7. **spoiler alert**

Santa can instantaneously heal a cut on a man's head and bring a toy horse to life, but apparently has no power to to cure a terminally ill girl.

Stick to original Miracle on 34th Street. Watching this poor remake made me sad.
