ReplyDeleteWhen will this air? I haven't been able to find anything recent about it.
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering the same thing, Colleen. It was supposed to premiere this year, and it sounds like it would be a perfect title for Summer Nights, right?
DeleteWell, I just recently discovered on www.whatsfilming.ca web-site that there is a TV movie being filmed from 8-15 to 9-15 titled Beaches. Could this be this movie? Maybe? Maybe Not? We should hear casting soon!
As always - stay tuned!!! Thank you, Colleen, for your Question!!!
Net -- "The Beach House" IS supposed to film in August, according to what one of our Facebook group members said that Andie told her when she met her recently.
DeleteI don't know if it would be "Beaches," though? I wonder. That's a month-long shoot, and Hallmark's movies usually shoot for 2 or 3 weeks. It's possible it's a longer shoot, but that seems abnormal for Hallmark unless the movie is being shot in an unusual location, which doesn't seem to be the case.
Also, "Beaches" is an old movie with Bette Midler and Mayim Bialik, so when I first saw the title a while back I wondered if it is being remade, as so many movies are these days.
The timing is coincidental, but it might not mean anything. Or it might mean something. We'll soon see.
when will Cedar Cove be back on TV with Andie MacDowell? Is see that one of the characters is going to be in the new Chesapeake Shores..
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to tell you, Cedar Cove was cancelled last year. I wrote about it here. And, yes you can see lots of Cedar Cove stars in various other projects, like Barbara Niven in Chesapeake Shores or Dylan Neal in Gourmet Detective and much more!!!!
DeleteAny updates on the beach house? They are making a new Beaches movie with Idina Menzel.
ReplyDeleteanxiously awaiting the premier of The Beach House! any date yet? loved the book! cant wait!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I haven't heard any updates on this one, yet. It does sound like a perfect movie for Summer Nights, though!
DeleteNo hint there, intended, just a simple guess!
I have really enjoyed Andy McDowell in many movies & screen plays. But I was quite disappointed to hear she was playing Cara in The Beach House. As an avid reader & fan of all the Mary Alice Monroe novel,I have read all of her books at least several times. Putting myself in and totally enthralled in each character, quite frankly Andy D.doesn't fit the character, age wise, description, and mannerisms. I was hoping for a fresh new face to bring all of Cara's strong, yet inspiring individual spirit to the screen. Their is that one perfect person to fill Cara's shoes. I'd hoped to have seen her, and the movie. Thank you
ReplyDeleteIsn't The Beach House is supposed to be Spring Fling on Hallmark Channel? It's took too long when it's air on Hallmark Channel last year but this year, isn't it.
ReplyDeleteNow it is 2017. What is truly happening with the movie/book"The Beach House" by Mary Alice Monroe? Has the movie actually been viewed? Has it been on tv or hallmark channel. Is it out & for sale in stores? I've been waiting.
ReplyDeleteYes, according to Hallmark's Press Release - where they announced the new slate of Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (HMM) PREMIERE MOVIES FOR 2017 - "The Beach House" was listed as one of the movies coming this year on HMM!
DeleteI loved the tv version Will it be available in DVD format? and when? Thanks for a treasure. Susan
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment, Susan. I imagine "The Beach House" movie will be released on DVD, at some point, as all the Hallmark Hall of Fame movies are, typically.
DeleteThe Hallmark Hall of Fame movies used to be released on DVD shortly after they aired on TV, but now it seems to take a bit longer. In fact, "The Christmas Train," the latest movie from the HHOF collection, which aired last November during the holiday season, has yet to be released.
I'll be sure to keep a watch for it and post on my DVD page - Here - when it becomes available!
Blessings on your day, Net
