"A Biltmore Christmas" Sequel Coming in 2026 with Holland Roden and Niall Matter

Variety is reporting that an all-new sequel to "A Biltmore Christmas" is in the works - starring Holland Roden ("Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas," "Holiday Touchdown: A Bill's Love Story") and Niall Matter ("Aurora Teagarden Mysteries," "We Met in December").

Jonathan Frakes will reprise his role from the original 2023 Hallmark movie in the new sequel.

This is the storyline provided by Hallmark to Variety:
"As Biltmore House opens for the first time on Christmas Eve 1895, 13-year-old Elizabeth and her family are holiday guests. When she notices Michael, a fellow teen caught trespassing by the staff, Elizabeth comes to his rescue by claiming to know him, much to his relief. The two share an instant connection and set out to explore Biltmore but Michael inexplicably vanishes. Twenty years later, Elizabeth is spending Christmas at Biltmore and this time, is accompanied by James, a suitor her Aunt Maysilee is keen for her to wed. When a stranger asks Elizabeth to dance at the Christmas gala, she’s shocked to discover it’s Michael. Thrilled to reunite with her friend, she throws herself into his arms. But the world around her changes in an instant when Elizabeth is transported into the modern world with Michael, a tourist from the present day who had traveled to the past 20 years prior with the help of a magical hourglass in Biltmore’s library. Now, Elizabeth and Michael must find a way to send her back to her time, while not arousing the suspicion of Michael’s mother and sister during their family vacation. As Elizabeth experiences life and Christmas in the 21st century, she and Michael become close. When the time comes for her to return to 1915, Elizabeth must decide whether she’ll resume the life that’s been chosen for her or if her heart will lead her down a new path in the present."

According to the article, "production begins next month at the Biltmore Estate." It will also "showcase Biltmore’s Rooftop, Pergola, Swimming Pool, Bowling Alley, Breakfast Room, Oak Sitting Room, Main Kitchen, Music Room, Mrs. Vanderbilt’s Bedroom."

I'm thrilled to share this news with all of you! I love the original "A Biltmore Christmas" movie starring Bethany Joy Lenz and Kristoffer Polaha, and I think Holland and Niall will make an excellent pairing in this sequel, which is also written by Marcy Holland.

The Brothers are Back: All New "Three Wise Men" Movie Coming to the Hallmark Channel this Christmas

During tonight's airing of "Unwrapping Christmas: Mia’s Prince," Hallmark revealed that an all-new "Three Wise Men" movie starring Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes, and Paul Campbell titled "Three Wisest Men" is coming this Christmas season to Countdown to Christmas. This is the third movie in the "Three Wise Men" series.

Andrew Walker recently shared on social media that he would be filming soon, so it's possible he was referring to this movie.

Hallmark shared this memorable scene of the Wise brothers doing their festive dance. I have a feeling it will somehow be included in the third movie, as well.

---------------------

The Love Club Moms: Tory

A publishing powerhouse, Tory, adopts a baby girl. She gives up on dating, besides, she’s busy being a new mom while trying to prove herself as CEO and land a new hot kids author. This prompts the Love Club to help Tory hire Finn, a nanny. But when the truth comes out that Finn was never really a nanny, the Love Club have to convince Tory that despite his lack of credentials, Finn could be the children’s author and partner she was looking for.

Starring: Ashley Newbrough

Premiere Date: Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 7pm/6c.

The Love Club Moms: Jo

As an uptight elementary school principal, Jo’s skills are put to the test when a new young student, Simon, continuously lands in her office for detention. When she learns the boy’s father is her old high school flame Ryan, Jo’s world is thrown for a loop, especially since she has been dating Bernie, the school’s French teacher. Neither Jo or Ryan have forgotten one another and their heated volatile relationship only reveals an intense passion that the Love Club are intent on reigniting.

Starring: Rebecca Dalton and Corey Sevier

Premiere Date: Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 7pm/6c.

Read reviews for The Love Club Moms: Jo at Amazon.
Movie Review:

The Love Club Moms: Jo - In the first hour there is a little language, the a-word is used once. And we learn that Corey's character, Ryan, is a single father who was never married. Corey is also briefly shirtless in a scene when he is washing his car. His opposite, Rebecca Dalton, who plays Jo, asks him to put on his shirt so they can talk.

SPOILER ALERT:

We learn that Jo and Ryan were married briefly. It was annulled.

Jo becomes engaged to a guy at work and when she goes to the clerk’s office to get her marriage license she learns that she is actually still married to Ryan.

Ryan reveals (late in the movie) that he knew there were still married. He tries to tell Jo that she was the only one ever in his heart, but then Jo reminds him he has a son with another woman.

Jo and Ryan do end up happily together in the end. He tells her they’d be crazy not to try and make their relationship work – again.

Honestly, I liked all of the actors and there were some cute moments, especially with the little boy and the friends trying to do their matchmaking, but I wish the relationship part of the story could’ve been written differently.

It was definitely not cool for Ryan to know they were still married and become involved with someone else, assuming he knew at that specific time. This movie was a definite one-time watch for me. ~Net

---------------------

The Love Club Moms: Harper

Harper has never failed at anything she has set out to do so when her husband asks for a separation, it throws off her whole world. When Colin, a divorced dad and community councilor seeking re-election, asks Harper for her help with his community initiatives, the Love Club encourage her to do it. Just when it seems sparks may actually ignite between these two, Colin takes credit for the initiative. Indignant, Harper throws her hat into the election ring and goes head to head with Colin.

Starring: Genelle Williams

Premiere Date: Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 7pm/6c.

Read reviews for The Love Club Moms: Harper at Amazon.

---------------------

The Love Club Moms: Nila

Since her husband died three years earlier, Nila’s life has been all about her Instagram business and helicopter parenting her daughter Mara. Now a tween aching to break free, Mara creates a dating profile for her mom. Nila is horrified, but the Love Club agree it’s time Nila moved on. Nila agrees to date, but when all her dates bomb, she recruits local coffee shop owner Olly to be in a pretend relationship with her to get everyone off her case.

Starring: Nazneen Contractor

Premiere Date: Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 7pm/6c.

Read reviews for The Love Club Moms: Nila at Amazon.

---------------------

Please Note: These "Love Club Moms" movies are said to be sequels to the four original Love Club movies that premiered on the Hallmark Channel in 2023, but these new movies are brand new love stories about fresh new characters, all single mothers.

FYI - the first movie in the original Love Club series, The Love Club: Nicole's Pen Pal, introduced two married men at the end of the film. I don't know if these characters were in subsequent Love Club movies after that. You can read reviews for The Love Club: Nicole's Pen Pal - here.

You can also see details on the three following Love Club movies... The Love Club: Sydney's Journey, The Love Club: Lauren's Dream, The Love Club: Tara's Tune - here. According to an Anonymous reviewer, the first two are family-friendly. In the last movie, Tara has a gay co-worker.

I don't know if the "Love Club Moms" movies are family-friendly. I started watching the first one starring Ashley Newbrough via streaming, but I wasn't fond of the guy they were pairing her with and didn't end up finishing it.

If any of you have had the opportunity to watch these movies on UP Faith & Family, please share in the comments below. I would love to know your thoughts.

Happy movie watching!

🎅 Two Popular Christmas Sequels In-The-Works! 🎄 Do YOU say Yes, Yes, Yeeeessss or HO-HO-NO? 🎅

You may have already heard this recently released Christmas Entertainment news, but just in case you haven't - on January 14th, 2022, Disney announced actor Tim Allen (Home Improvement, Toy Story (voice of Buzz Lightyear), Last Man Standing, etc...) would be reprising his role as Santa Claus/Scott Calvin in an all new "Santa Clause" series for their streaming service, Disney Plus.

According to an article in Variety, here is the storyline: "In the series, Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.

🎄My Quick Take - on the "Santa Clause" sequel news:

I personally have always loved the trilogy of "Santa Clause" films, ever since I watched the first movie in 1994! Back in the 90's, the "Home Improvement" sitcom was quite popular, so that made Tim Allen an excellent choice for this role. There's something so magical and enchanting about the North Pole and Santa, of course! Watching Scott Calvin transform into the role of Santa Claus and delivering gifts from home to home is always so much fun. I especially love his son, Charlie... his overwhelming excitement is like every little boy and girl at Christmas - who still believes! We are introduced to Charlie's little sister, Lucy, in "The Santa Clause 2," and she has the same sparkle about Christmas in her eyes, as Charlie did in the first film!

Ever since I heard this sequel news, I've been thinking it over, and I must say, I don't really like the idea of Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) stepping down from his role as Santa. Santa Claus has always held the iconic image of being older with his gray hair and beard, plump belly, and glasses. The age of 65 actually seems ideal for Santa. I always thought Tim Allen was a little young for the role before, and now that he is the perfect age (in my opinion) to be Santa Claus (or Santa Clause!), they want to replace him with someone, presumably, younger? Frankly, I'm not liking this. While I do love the idea of there being an all new "Santa Clause' series, I'm not liking the idea of Santa being replaced. It's my hope that Scott Calvin sets out to find someone new, perhaps his son, Charlie, and either he takes over or Scott (Tim Allen) realizes a renewed love for his mission of being Santa!

I would love to hear your thoughts in comments below...

The other popular Christmas sequel recently announced on January 20, 2022 - is a sequel to "A Christmas Story". I find this is a movie most people either love or hate. My aunt always loved it! To be honest, though, it's not one I personally love, but I don't hate it either. There's something about the 1940's era and nostalgic part of it that pulls me in. Now, the father can be rather gruff and somewhat vulgar with his leg lamp and all, but that's part of the comedy of the story, I guess, that draws people in. Ralphie's ultimate dream of wanting the "Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle" (AKA: BB gun) actually comes true, and that's also part of the charm people like, a child's simple wish coming true at Christmas time. The movie was actually filmed in Cleveland, Ohio and Toronto, Ontario. I think filming in the Cleveland area in the early 80's, gave it a realistic sense of small town America.

The fictional home used for "A Christmas Story" still stands in Ohio today; in fact, it was purchased by a man from California on Ebay for $150,000! He turned the place into a museum, movie merchandise store (they have some cute ornaments!), and according to the FAQs on the official web-site, they "triple dog dare you to spend the night in A Christmas Story House!" Reservation details can be found here. I think that would be a pretty neat overnight stay for anyone who loves the movie.

As for the sequel, Entertainment Weekly announced that Peter Billingsley will reprise his role as Ralphie and produce this all new feature for HBO Max, which has been titled, "A Christmas Story Christmas". Furthermore, EW shared these story details: "The sequel will follow an adult version of the character in the 1970s, who returns to the house on Cleveland Street to deliver his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had growing up. With the same attention to real-life tone as the original, Ralphie reconnects with childhood friends, reconciles the passing of his "Old Man," and sews the seeds for the origins of the beloved holiday classic."

🎄My Quick Take - on "A Christmas Story" sequel news:

The storyline we've been given sounds rather intriguing, as long as they keep the content PG clean. It's hard to say if that will happen, especially since it will be premiering on HBO Max. It sounds rather heartwarming to see a grown up Ralphie return to his childhood home and reconnect with past friends, but I'm sure there will be some comedy in there, too. Hope they are also able to bring back some of the other well-known characters from the original movie.

I would love to know your opinion on both sequels. Are you a fan of the "Santa Clause" or "A Christmas Story"? Please share your thoughts in comments below.

By the way, if you are missing Christmas movies on TV, you can check the Christmas TV Schedule for upcoming weekly Christmas movies airing on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, the Hallmark Channel, and GAC Family - see here!

Hallmark Channel begins Production on "Summer in the Vineyard" starring Rachael Leigh Cook, Brendan Penny,

Hallmark Channel Press Release...

ROMANCE IS BACK
AMONG THE VINES
PRODUCTION BEGINS ON

‘SUMMER IN THE VINEYARD’
HALLMARK CHANNEL NEW, ORIGINAL MOVIE
STARRING RACHAEL LEIGH COOK
AND BRENDAN PENNY

Part of the Network’s Annual “Summer Nights” Programming Event

STUDIO CITY, CA – June 15, 2017 – Principal photography began this week in Okanagan Valley, British Columbia on the romantic comedy “Summer in the Vineyard.” The film reunites Rachael Leigh Cook (“Perception”) and Brendan Penny (“Motive”) who reprise their roles as Frankie Baldwin and Nate DeLuca. The movie will premiere during Hallmark Channel’s annual “Summer Nights” programming event, featuring four new, original movie premieres celebrating the fun and carefree days of summer.

The movie is the follow up to the successful “Autumn in the Vineyard,” and continues the romance between Frankie Baldwin (Cook) and Nate DeLuca (Penny). As their first year at Sorrento Farms is coming to a close, they are looking forward to debuting their first vintage wine during the town’s annual ‘Summerfest’ celebration. When the host winery for Summerfest pulls out at the last minute, Nate volunteers Sorrento to replace them, thinking it will be great publicity for their fledgling operation. Frankie, however, is more concerned with whether she can have their first Cabernet ready on time. The pressure is on them both to make a big splash for Sorrento at Summerfest to ensure the viability of their winery going forward. These two headstrong paramours are about to find out if you really can mix business with pleasure, because the course of love never does run smooth when grapes are involved. Then again, if they learn to work together, they just might find that love and wine are the perfect summer combination.

“We are excited to have Rachael and Brendan back in the vineyard for this story that is ultimately about making dreams come true,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Publicity. “’Summer in the Vineyard’ is a wonderful addition to our ‘Summer Nights’ programming that includes four all new, original movies celebrating the fun of the season.”

The movie is produced by Muse Entertainment in association with Head First Productions. Executive producers are Jim Head, Joel S. Rice, Michael Prupas, and Shawn Williamson. Jamie Goehring and Trevor McWhinney are the producers. Martin Wood directs from a script written by Julie Sherman Wolfe based on the book by Marina Adair.

My Take:

When a sequel is made, it is always refreshing to see so many original cast members return. From "Autumn in the Vineyard" (2016) to "Summer in the Vineyard" (2017)... returning cast members for this Hallmark movie include: Rachael Leigh Cook, Brendan Penny, Jeremy Guilbaut, and Marcus Rosner.

As mentioned above, in Hallmark's release, this sequel/teleplay was written by screen writer Julie Sherman Wolfe. If you, like me, have loved any of her other Hallmark movies, including "The Birthday Wish," "Wedding Bells," etc... then I'm sure we are in for another treat and will also enjoy this one, as well!

Many members of the “Summer in the Vineyard” cast have been sharing some fun on-the-set images while filming...

Hmmmmm??? I'm seeing a lot of lovely white in the vineyard... could this possibly mean there's a wedding in the vineyard?

Guess, we will have to wait, watch, and see! I hope many of you will join me in looking forward to seeing the sequel "Summer in the Vineyard" during Hallmark Channel's "Summer Nights" event!
