UPtv JULY 2021 TV Movie Premiere - Love in Whitbrooke! 🌞 SEE HERE:

Look for this NEW Movie Premiere! Love in Whitbrooke, starring Brittany Bristow and Corey Sevier, is coming to UPtv in July!

See details on this movie below...

Love in Whitbrooke

Original Air Date: July 18, 2021

Starring: Brittany Bristow and Corey Sevier

Story-line via UPtv: An ambitious project manager is offered the career opportunity of a lifetime in London. But when she returns to her hometown to help the family business in an emergency and meets the perfect guy, her passion and talent for painting is rekindled, giving her a new outlook on life and love.

Review:

🌞 "I thought it was okay and reckon many here will like it. I can confirm though that there are no problems as regards it being family friendly." ~ Florence

🌞 "Love in Whitbrooke - The formula of this movie is similar to the typical rom-com story we’re used to – girl has an important job in the city and possible promotion, then she returns to her hometown - where the family business is failing, of course, and needs her help. Plus, the town has an important festival coming up – that also needs her assistance. In this story, Amber (played by Brittany Bristow) enjoys the time she is spending with her family and begins to fall in love again with her small-town, painting and a handsome, jack-of-all-trades sort of guy, Jason Taylor (played by Corey Sevier), who often seems to be around. Since the leads are portrayed by two actors I already really like - Brittany Bristow and Corey Sevier, that really pulled me into this story: Brittany, with her bubbly personality and Corey, with his boy-next-door charm. I enjoyed the set-up of this story, but the ending left me wanting more. Also, at one point, a young child wandered off from his parents, but no one seemed to think it was a big deal. Overall, though - it’s a delightful, lighthearted movie – ideal for family viewing." ~Net

🌞 "Anyone who didn't get a chance to watch Love in Whitbrooke on UPtv should. Brittany Bristow was awesome and crushed it as leading lady, beautifully done! Not to mention, the scenery in the movie was beautiful. Loved it! I'm so glad I recorded it, I will definitely be watching again." ~Rita Kaye

🌞 "Watched Love in Whitbrooke , and I really enjoyed it! So sweet and funny." -Maria

Trailer: (PLEASE NOTE: This video clip shows a LOT of the movie. If you don't want to see too many SPOILERS, you may want to skip it or fast forward through.)

Hope you enjoyed this movie information and trailer video above for Love in Whitbrooke. I've always enjoyed both Brittany Bristow and Corey Sevier, so I am very much looking forward to watching this. (Update: See my review above! ^) In fact, my first remembrance of Brittany was as the bubbly assistant in Love Blossoms; she's always delightful and full of energy in all of her roles. It's great to see her play the lead role again, as she did in the Hallmark Channel Christmas movie, Holiday Date.

As for Corey Sevier, I first recall him from the wonderful family drama, Little Men,
based on Louisa May Alcott's classic book. Corey portrayed one of the children, Dan, who went to the private school, Plumfield, that was set in the country. He was an incredible child actor, and he's still great today. If your looking for a family-friendly series to watch, I absolutely recommend checking out Little Men. (By the way, Amazon Prime Members can currently stream it for free!)

Are you looking forward to watching Love in Whitbrooke on UPtv?

Please Note: If you would like to post a review, please share in comments.

Blessings on your day! Net

I hope many of you are already enjoying the spirit of Christmas in your homes.

I'm sure you've all seen the sad stories on the news lately. My heart and prayers are going out to the families and friends of those who are missing in the Surfside, Florida building collapse, and I pray for wisdom, patience and strength for the rescuers during this incredibly difficult time.

May you all have a peaceful, relaxing weekend - enjoying life's simple joys, such as: birds nesting, a sunrise, a sunset, a gentle rain or a sunshiny day... and maybe, a movie or two squeezed in, too.

Please Note: I have not pre-screened these new movies above. If you'd like to share a review after they air, please share in comments. Thank you!

Stay cool, everyone, on this first, official full weekend of Summer and be sure to stop back by to let us all know how you liked these new movie premieres or check out reviews.

Enjoy the Christmas movies, my friends!

New Hallmark Movie Filming for Fall 2021 Premiere - with Tom Everett Scott, MΓa Maestro, and Ella Ballentine! See Here:

Tom Everett Scott image credit: Copyright 2017 Crown Media United States LLC/Photographer: Steven Ackerman / MΓa Maestro image credit: Aria Isadora / Ella Ballentine image credit: Denise Grant Photography

ET online is reporting: "Tom Everett Scott and MΓa Maestro will star in Rise and Shine, Benedict Stone, adapted from the 2017 novel by best-selling author Phaedra Patrick, for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Ella Ballentine also co-stars."

According to the article, the story follows "Benedict Stone (Scott) and his wife, Elena (Maestro), who have separated after 10 years of unsuccessfully trying for a baby. Benedict wants Elena back, but Elena needs space. So when Benedict’s teenage niece, Gemma (Ballentine), mysteriously arrives on his doorstep, his life is turned upside down, except she might be the change that he desperately needs to improve himself and to get a second chance at life with Elena."

Hallmark viewers may recall Tom Everett Scott starred in a previous Hallmark movie in 2017, "Christmas Connection." Ella Ballentine has also starred on the Hallmark Channel in a Christmas movie, "Baby's First Christmas." (Side Note #1: Ella was actually one of my first interviews for this Christmas movie - back in 2012!)

In addition to these familiar Hallmark actors, Peter Benson ("Aurora Teagarden Mysteries") will be directing this film. At this point, we can anticipate this movie to premiere in the Fall. I think it's great Peter is directing, but I love him in front of the camera, too. It was nice to see him recently in the lead role in "Seasoned with Love" with his real-life wife, Julia Benson. (Side Note #2: For those interested, an encore airing of "Seasoned with Love" is currently scheduled to air Wednesday, July 21st, at 1pm/12c on BYUtv.)

As for Rise and Shine, Benedict Stone, I am not familiar with the novel this film is based upon; however, I think the story sounds like a potentially interesting scenario for a Hallmark movie. Please share your thoughts in comments below.

LIFETIME GREENLIGHTS REIMAGINED HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN MOVIE SERIES STARRING:

Photo of Jill Scott (by Dion Farrell) and Barry Watson (by Justine Yeung)
on the set of Highway to Heaven

JILL SCOTT AND BARRY WATSON

STARTING FALL 2021

LIFETIME PRESS RELEASE ---

Based on Michael Landon’s Classic Drama Series Watched by Millions

Movies Produced by Propagate and Rain Productions for Lifetime

Los Angeles, CA (June 17, 2021) - Lifetime is offering an inspiring new take on a beloved classic with the greenlight of the event movie series Highway to Heaven starring Grammy® winner Jill Scott (First Wives Club), who also Executive Produces, as the new angel Angela who comes down to Earth to help people in crisis. It also stars Barry Watson (The Loudest Voice) as Junior High School principal Bruce to whom Angela reveals her true identity. In cooperation with Cindy Landon and the Michael Landon Estate, the wheel of movies are inspired by the highly-rated 80s drama that ran over 100 episodes between 1984 – 1989. With a constant theme throughout of love and kindness, the reboot aims to inspire hope and community as it addresses contemporary social and emotional issues, this time with a female angel as the anchor of the movie series.

This marks a reunion for Lifetime and Jill Scott, who previously starred in the Emmy® nominated Flint centered on the water crisis, the all-African American reboot of Steel Magnolias and Sins of the Mother. Barry Watson also returns to Lifetime for his first non-holiday movie role for network, having previously starred in A Very Nutty Christmas and The Santa Con.

The original Highway to Heaven was appointment viewing for millions and in a time when we need those messages of hope the most, we are excited to bring back the iconic series in a new way," said Tanya Lopez, Executive Vice President, Scripted Programming, Lifetime & LMN. “Having worked with Jill previously for some of Lifetime's most celebrated movies, we know she is the perfect actor to bring her passion and brilliance to this role. I just love her…Jill amplifies everything she touches in ways that make her pop off the screen. And the addition of Barry was just icing on the cake. I believe we have assembled a dynamic new duo with both Jill and Barry at the helm.”

Lifetime’s Highway to Heaven follows Angela (Jill Scott), an angel sent back to Earth by God, to help others in need. In the premiere movie, Angela assumes the role of a temporary school counselor and finds herself working alongside the principal Bruce (Barry Watson) as she intervenes in the lives of a troubled student Cody (Ben Daon, The Astronauts) and his father Jeff (Robert Moloney, Riverdale/You Me Her) after the tragic loss of Cody's mother, Melissa (Ashley Ross, A Series of Unfortunate Events). As Angela seemingly works miracles with Cody and Jeff, Bruce is in disbelief when he learns of the divine nature of Angela's work.

The first movie installment of the Highway to Heaven series is produced by Rain Productions and Propagate for Lifetime. Jonathan Baruch and Rob Wolken executive produce for Rain Productions; Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Gregory Lipstone and Rodney Ferrell executive produce from Propagate; Howard Braunstein is executive producer; Jill Scott and Shawn Gee also executive produce. Stacey K. Black directs from an original script by executive producer/writer Cathryn Humphris and award-winning playwright Angelica ChΓ©ri. Cindy Landon and Wayne Lepoff are executive producing on behalf of Michael Landon’s estate.

--- END OF PRESS RELEASE ---

I think this potentially sounds quite interesting. I've liked actor Barry Watson ever since his days on the family TV drama, 7th Heaven, where he played the son of a preacher. Barry has also starred in some fun Christmas movies on Lifetime, A Very Nutty Christmas and The Santa Con. You may also recall him from the Hallmark camp movie, Kiss at Pine Lake.

If they keep these movies in the same spirit as the original Highway to Heaven, then this may be a truly inspirational series. I'm also thinking it may have the same sort of feel as Touched by an Angel.

Check out these wonderful reviews...

UNLOCKING CHRISTMAS:

πŸŽ„"I loved Unlocking Christmas! Taylor and Steve's previous movie The Art of Us isn't one of my top favorites, but I'm going to have to give it another watch, because they were just perfect together in this! Everything about this movie hit all the right notes for me. Except for a somewhat rushed ending, I thought the flow and pacing of the movie was spot on. The chemistry was obvious, the banter was hilarious, and the mystery/adventure was intriguing, heartwarming, and so much fun. This is a serious contender for my favorite movie of this season. Family friendly." ~ Amy Lama

πŸŽ„"I totally agree with you, Amy. I didn't care for the Art of Us but this movie was definitely a keeper. Kevin (Lund) was all but giddy when opening the "No Peeking" envelopes. This a gem of a movie! I watched my recorded version last night to make sure it recorded well and again with my sister." ~Namegirl

πŸŽ„"After USS Christmas and A Little Christmas Charm, I was underwhelmed by Unlocking Christmas. However, I did love the activities they got to do and how the clues got them to interact with the community. The romance was just so meh to me." ~ Misty

πŸŽ„"Unlocking Christmas has a lovely message, but I agree, not much of a plot, and rushed. Completely G rated. This is actually the 5th Lund and Cole pairing, granted that I haven't seen all of them, and as usual, he outshines her. She just isn't a favorite of mine, and always seems a little disinterested in her various storylines." ~Ashley

πŸŽ„"Unlocking Christmas. Cute movie. It was fun to watch them work together to unlock the clues. Overall, it was a nice movie but nothing that really grabbed me. Worth a watch, but probably not a keeper for me. Family friendly." ~~Jane

πŸŽ„"Unlocking Christmas I thoroughly enjoyed this one - great beginning and ending and while I would admit that in between it was a bit slow at times and they missed many opportunities to further the romance I some how liked the gentle pace although it was pretty obvious who was behind the mystery letters! I know there are a fair number of people who don't seem to appreciate Taylor Cole but I think she and Steve Lund make a great pairing, superb chemistry and banter. Hallmark really don't promote Steve enough although I know he is very busy appearing in two TV series. One of my personal favourites." ~Anonymous

πŸŽ„"I loved unlocking this Christmas mystery! The KEY to a great movie is a fun story and a sweet romance and "Unlocking Christmas" had both! This family friendly movie was such a joy to watch. I loved seeing Taylor Cole and Steve Lund together again (since "The Art of Us") and watching them go on this adventure - unraveling riddle clues. Everything about this movie is enjoyable and cute, especially the chemistry between Taylor and Steve. And, I loved his parents in this, too! Such a delightful watch - I highly recommend Unlocking Christmas!" ~Net

ON THE 12TH DATE OF CHRISTMAS

πŸŽ„"My two "must watch" picks from the weekend were "Cranberry Christmas" (because we don't get many movies about an already married couple and the story sounded good) and "On the 12th Date of Christmas" (because Tyler Hynes is my favorite Hallmark leading man and I'm pretty much guaranteed to enjoy whatever Hallmark movie he's in). I've only had a chance to watch those two so far but just wanted to say they're both family friendly and I loved them both for the same reasons they were my "must watch" picks! Tyler Hynes was fantastic in his role, as always, and I thought he was well matched with Mallory Jansen. I loved watching their characters fall in love, enjoyed their interactions with their respective families, and thought the scavenger hunt theme was fun. "Cranberry Christmas" is wonderful, and I highly recommend it if you're someone who enjoys the deeper, richer stories on HMM. Don't get me wrong--I enjoy the fluffy romantic fantasies too, but it was refreshing to see the more realistic picture that marriage takes work and it's worth the effort. Nikki DeLoach and Benjamin Ayres did a beautiful job portraying a couple working through a rough patch and growing closer together through it. The ending made me tear up." ~ Amy Lama

πŸŽ„"On the 12th Date of Christmas. Loved it! A light, fun movie with good Christmas "feels". I liked the scavenger hunt twist for this movie. Tyler Hynes is fast becoming one of my favorite actors; his facial expressions and the way he times the delivery of his lines is perfection. And he seems to work well with whatever actress Hallmark pairs him with; he and Mallory Jansen were a lot of fun together. This one is a keeper for my dvr and possibly a purchase of the dvd in the future. Family friendly." ~~Jane

πŸŽ„"Completely agree with Amy about "Cranberry Christmas" and "On the 12th Date of Christmas" -- both movies were "keepers" for me!" ~~Jane

πŸŽ„"Hynes' line delivery is great. I totally agree with you Anonymous, it's a keeper!" ~ Namegirl

πŸŽ„"On the 12th Date of Christmas: This was a cute movie. I love Tyler Hynes and Mallory Jansen was a nice surprise! She was a fresh face and the plot was engaging. It felt both upbeat and lively." ~ Anonymous

πŸŽ„"On the 12th date of Christmas- Tyler Hynes has quickly become a favorite in our family. He has good chemistry with his co stars and his line delivery has that something extra that makes a movie that much better. Mallory did a nice job, I had only seen her in villain roles before so it was a nice change. This will be a re-watch for sure." ~ Kay

πŸŽ„"On the 12th Date of Christmas I really like the unique story and the chemistry. I forgot how much I love Tyler Hines in hallmark movies and this certainly reminded me. This is my first time seeing Mallory in Hallmark but she was equally great too. When they were brainstorming for the scavenger hunt app ideas I felt really intrigued to see how it all will come together. So cute and will definitely watch it again!" ~ CH Mom

πŸŽ„"On the 12th Date of Christmas is such a clever concept! Instead of our leading guy & girl going on a Scavenger Hunt, they are the game creators - who are developing a special hunt for others to use through an app. It's fascinating to watch them develop fresh ideas and test them out along the way - taking them all over the city. Of course, each new challenge brings the two closer together. I really enjoyed this family friendly Christmas rom-com! It's always fun to see Tyler Hynes and Mallory Jansen is a great addition to the Hallmark family." ~Net
