Great American Family is giving us viewers some very special programming on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

The Christmas Eve schedule will include some incredible Christmas singing and programs that highlight the true meaning of Christmas - the birth of Jesus!

On Christmas Day, beginning at 12 noon (Eastern Standard Time), Great American Family will begin their Christmas movie countdown - which is based on the movie reviews they've received from us viewers. Be sure to share your reviews directly with Great American Family.

Sunday nights, November 17 through December 22 from 10PM to 1AM ET, getTV is the place for classic Christmas variety shows featuring such performers as Perry Como, Reba McEntire, Johnny Cash, John Wayne, Andy Griffith, Sonny and Cher, The Smothers Brothers, Mac Davis, Gladys Knight, The Osmonds, Barbara Mandrell, Vanessa Williams, Phil Collins, Shania Twain and Luther Vandross, among others. Leading into midnight EST on Christmas Eve, getTV will be featuring “Bing Crosby’s Merrie Olde Christmas” special from 1977. This special was the star’s final appearance, filmed just prior to his death and aired afterward. The show’s highlight is his legendary cross-generational duet with Rock & Roll Hall of Famer David Bowie, “Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy.”

Saturday afternoons, November 23, December 7, 14 and 21 from 12 noon to 6PM ET, and Christmas Day, Wednesday December 25 from 6AM – 6:30PM ET, getTV goes all in for Christmas movies, with such stars as Bob Hope, Cicely Tyson, Naomi Judd, Chuck Norris, Valerie Bertinelli, Dixie Carter, Roma Downey, Patricia Heaton, Peter Falk, Debbie Reynolds, John Denver, Robert Young, Cynthia Nixon and many more. PLOT:

The Bible Continues" picks up where the smash hit miniseries "The Bible" left off, continuing the greatest story ever told and exploring the exciting and inspiring events that followed the Crucifixion of Christ.

The immediate aftermath of Christ's death had a massive impact on his disciples, his mother, Mary, and key political and religious leaders of the era, completely altering the entire world in an instant. Beginning at that fateful moment of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection, "A.D. The Bible Continues" will focus on the disciples who had to go forward and spread the teachings of Christ to a world dominated by political unrest, and the start of a whole new religion that would dramatically reshape the history of the world.

Jesus (Juan Pablo Di Pace) dies on the cross at the hands of the Romans, deserted by even his most loyal followers. Peter (Adam Levy) and the disciples are hunted by Temple authorities led by High Priest Caiaphas (Richard Coyle) and Roman soldiers under orders from Governor Pontius Pilate (Vincent Regan). For the tiny band of followers, every day is a fight for survival, and their mission to spread the word to the world seems impossible.

Yet, they have hope and soon they have power: the amazing miracle of the Resurrection and the shocking arrival of the Holy Spirit upon them all at Pentecost enables them to inspire more and more people to join. Besieged at Masada, the Jews held out for months against the vast Roman armies. A Personal Note: I have not viewed this movie, but I have seen some clips and the behind the scenes making... and I am looking forward to seeing it for the first time, along with many of you. As a Christian, it is my hope that the depiction of these beloved bibical characters will be true...

and have a grand impact on all who see this series.

PLOT:

Hardworking single mom Kathleen is trying to save enough money to buy a house for herself and her daughter, Zoe. But even for someone trying to make a living, she goes way beyond her job description when she agrees to act as her boss's wife to impress a potential investor. The investor, however, isn't quite what he seems, and the deal that ends up on the table is far from just business. Can Sam (her boss) open up enough to let love's warmth melt the ice around his heart? If he can, he might just discover that family and loyalty are the best friends money cannot buy.

Movie Review:

This is one of those perfect little Christmas Movies that you cherish year after year. There is such great chemistry between Roma Downey & Eric McCormack's characters - Kathleen & Sam... it makes for such a sweet little Christmas Romantic Comedy. And Kathleen's daughter Zoe - what a personality... she's so adorable! She is smart and clever... why, you never quite know what she'll say - and she is so brave, caring, and loving to everyone around her. She's quite the little character. What she wants most is for her Daddy to come home and for them to all live in the real-life version of her doll house. Unfortunately, her Daddy has no desire to make that reality.

In the meantime... they are all becoming close to Kathleen's boss, Sam and he is falling for them, too... on the ice and in love! Will business come between them or will true love save the day? It just may take a little help from an Angel to help them along their way.

I don't want to spoil the ending, for anyone who hasn't seen it ~ however, I must say... it does have a very sweet and Happy Ending!

Come Dance at my Wedding:

A Hallmark Channel movie, starring John Schneider (“Smallville”), Brooke Nevin (“The 4400”) and Roma Downey (“Touched By An Angel”).

PLOT:

from Hallmark Channel:

“Come Dance at my Wedding,” an original movie about a young bride-to-be who is shocked when the father she never knew shows up alive and holding the deed to her family’s dance studio. It is the first of many surprises for Cyd who will soon learn other surprises about her father, including their shared love of dancing.

Cyd Scarborough (Nevin), a dance teacher in her hometown of Elksville, is busy teaching her classes at the Scarborough Dance Studio and finalizing details for her approaching wedding to the love of her life, accountant Zach. Her best friend, Jessie, is helping her stay organized, but Cyd dearly misses her deceased mother. To further muddle her thoughts, a real estate developer has offered to purchase the studio that has been in the family for several generations. If she sells, Cyd would have a chance to pursue her dream of becoming a therapist.

When she learns the shocking news that Tanner Grey (Schneider) – her father that she never knew – is alive and owns the family dance studio, she just wants to take care of business and get the studio sold quickly. She turns to her attorney, Laura Williams (Downey), for help, but as it turns out, Tanner isn’t in a hurry to hand over the deed or leave Elksville.

Movie Review:

From the moment I saw this advertised on the Hallmark Channel, I knew I would love it and guess what, I did! It was perfectly delightful from the very first dance step!

The movie is based around a Dance Studio, which was left to (as mentioned above) a young bride-to-be who is shocked when the father she never knew shows up alive and holding the deed to her family’s dance studio. The bride-to-be is Cyd, played by Brooke Nevin and her father is Tanner Grey, portrayed by John Schneider.

I must say... that John Schneider (Bo Duke) is still just as handsome as ever and he was so suave on the dance floor. My favorite scenes were in the dance studio. I especially loved the scene where an older couple taking lessons... danced on their anniversary. It was beautiful, a very special wonderful addition to this sentimental movie.

Throughout the movie, it was interesting to see Cyd bond with her father in the dance studio and at home. Tanner Grey is over-protective and caring, determined to keep the dance studio going - while Cyd is unsure and on the verge of walking down the aisle, and a little confused about her future. Will she keep the dance studio? Will her father, Tanner, leave town?

Here's a hint: there's a happy-ending!

If you love wedding movies like Father of the Bride, Wedding Daze, Bridal Fever, etc... then you should love this one, too! "Come Dance at my Wedding" absolutely swept me off my feet!!!
