WASHINGTON, June 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Museum of the Bible is thrilled to announce that in partnership with Freedom 250 and in the spirit of "Faith, Values and Inspiration Day" at the Great American State Fair, they will take over the main stage on Wednesday, July 1, from 4 to 9 p.m., in partnership with K-LOVE and Great American Pure Flix. The full program, titled "The Bible and the American Story," will be a celebration of the Bible's enduring impact on U.S. history and how it continues to impact lives today.

"From our nation's founding, the Bible has profoundly shaped the ideals, values and vision of the United States. Its influence can be seen in the lives and writings of many of America's Founding Fathers and in the enduring principles that we find in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution," said Dr. Carlos Campo, president and CEO of Museum of the Bible. "As we commemorate America's 250th anniversary on the National Mall, we are honored to celebrate the book that has shaped our history, inspired our culture and transformed countless lives."

The evening will feature performances by Maverick City Music, Matthew West, Jordan Feliz, Blanca and Ryan Ellis. There will also be a very special sunset concert with a surprise Grammy Award-winning and 28-time Dove Award-winning worship artist.

Special speakers will be included in the program, including Dr. Alveda King, Reverend Samuel Rodriquez, Pastor Ben Stuart and Museum of the Bible founders Steve and Jackie Green. Museum of the Bible will also present information on the importance of biblical archaeology and scholarship. The evening will end with a special projection on the Washington Monument.

I must say... The live event on Thursday, Dec. 4 is presented by the National Park Service (NPS) and the National Park Foundation (NPF), and will be held on the Ellipse at The White House and President's Park. Great American Media will exclusively broadcast the ceremony on Great American Family Friday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. ET, with streaming available on Great American Pure Flix through Jan. 31, 2026.

Since 1923, the National Christmas Tree Lighting has invited the country to pause, gather, and celebrate what matters most. The National Christmas Tree and surrounding trees representing every U.S. state, territory, and the District of Columbia will be open to the public Dec. 6, 2025, through Jan. 1, 2026. Hours run 10 a.m.–10 p.m. ET Sunday through Thursday, and until 11 p.m. ET on Fridays and Saturdays. Lights turn on at dusk each evening.

"The National Christmas Tree Lighting is a beautiful reflection of what we believe in—faith, family, and country, the message at the heart of the season," shared Bill Abbott, President & CEO of Great American Media. This year's celebration shines a special light on Jillian Cardarelli, a star in Great American Media's Crossroad Springs series. West will be performing "Come Home for Christmas" and "Come on Christmas."

I love how our nation comes together on this day to pray! We certainly have numerous issues as a country, including our freedoms, security, the economy, and more. On this day, we lift up those concerns to our Heavenly Father.

Recently, I was re-watching the promo video for Candace Cameron Bure’s new Great American Family Christmas movie, A Christmas Less Traveled, and near the end of the commercial, Candace says, “...the themes in the story have a lot to do with forgiveness and faith and allowing faith to be bigger than fear.” That profound statement of *faith over fear* keeps repeating in my mind as I often need that encouragement throughout my day, and it brought to mind that while I was looking at Christian tees the other day on Amazon, I happened to see a t-shirt with that same message. So, I thought I would share that *faith over fear* t-shirt and others with you all below.

I personally love to wear an inspirational graphic tee or sweatshirt (depending on the weather, of course) to remind myself and others around me that God is bigger and greater than any problems we may face. When fear comes, I try my best to replace that fear with my faith. No matter what we face today, tomorrow, and in the future, God is with us.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Shae Robins Announces Easter Program on Great American Family

In a new commercial promo running on Great American Family (see below), actress Shae Robins (Passport to Love and Destined at Christmas films) announces a special airing of the documentary, The History of Easter (from 2021), hosted by Christian singer, Matthew West.

In this documentary, presented by the Museum of the Bible, viewers will learn how certain traditions developed throughout the years at Eastertime, including bunnies, baskets, and candy, as viewers are taken back throughout history - all the way to the original origin of Easter, the crucifixion of Jesus.

"The History of Easter" will air on Good Friday, March 29, 2024, at 5pm/4c, on Great American Family.

KLOVE FAN AWARDS

an Encore Presentation

Originally, the KLOVE Fan Awards were filmed May 30, 2021 - at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. I just love that they have church style pews there instead of regular seats. Anyway, the awards first premiered on TV last Friday night; however, they are receiving a special encore presentation tonight, Friday, June 11, 2021 at 8pm Eastern / 7pm Central / 5pm Pacific on TBN, Trinity Broadcasting Network. The show also repeats immediately after the first showing. I personally enjoyed the program so much last week, that I wanted to share it with all of you - just in case you missed it.

One on the awards given at the KLOVE Fan Awards was for FILM and TELEVISION IMPACT. The nominees were A Week Away, Church People, The Chosen, I Am Patrick, and I Still Believe. I thought many of you here would be interested since I know you are passionate supporters of The Chosen. Also, A Week Away is a Christian Musical that stars two actors well known from Hallmark - Bailee Madison (Northpole) and Kevin Quinn (A Christmas Love Story). Actress Erin Cahill (A Timeless Christmas), who we also know well from Hallmark, has a role in the Christian movie, Church People. Tune in to see which production won this category!

The awards show was hosted by Christian Singer/Songwriter, Matthew West. If you're not familiar with him, my favorite songs by West are: The God Who Stays, Hello, My Name Is, The Motions, Day After Christmas, and his new song, Truth Be Told, which he sings in the awards program with Country Artist, Carly Pearce. Their collaboration was fantastic! (Also, you may know Matthew West from a small role he had, along with Candace Cameron Bure, in a Christmas movie that aired on UPtv in 2011 called The Heart of Christmas.)

"Happy Day After Christmas ~ the 🌟LIGHT🌟 of the World is Still Here!!!

Another day is checked off the calendar. December 25th, has come and gone. But, December 25th isn't simply just another day. From the memories it holds, to the excitement it beholds each coming year, Christmas is sacred, a time that we rejoice in the birth of our Savior, a day we cherish with those we embrace and hold so dear!

I pray you all had a wondrous Christmas Day, and hopefully, you are able to have a relaxing day today and all this week!!! I was so blessed to be with my family for Christmas - what a gift!!! Plus, here in the Midwest, we had a lovely winter wonderland, snow globe White Christmas!!! It was such a busy, active day! My greatest joy is watching others unwrap! ("It is more blessed to give than to receive" -Acts 20:35) And now, like Santa, I'm certain we could all use a little vacation, or at least, a "long winter's nap"!
