The star-studded event was hosted by Great American Family’s Trevor Donovan and Danica McKellar who shared the stage with fellow actors and filmmakers, including Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, Cameron Mathison, Matthew Morrison, Jen Lilley, Eric Close, Jack Wagner, Corbin Bernsen, Pat Boone, Donna Mills, Mike Rowe, Jesse Hutch, and many more.

“I didn't ever see this happening…I love making movies, I'm really blessed to do what I love, so thank you.” shared Lori Loughlin as she received the Grace Prize for TV Performance for her role in “A Christmas Blessing.

The unforgettable evening included a captivating musical performance by Dennis Quaid, kicked off by calling his good friend and actor Kris Kristofferson on the phone:

“I am singing two songs for you tonight that they both have to do with Kris Kristofferson, who was the biggest box office star in 1974, 1975, and 1976, and I thought before I do this song I thought we could all call him,” as Quaid proceeded, he had the audience join him in saying ‘We love you Kris!’”

Additionally, two-time Grammy nominated artist Blessing Offor took the audience to church with his performance of his hit “Brighter Days”. The evening ended with a prayer lead by actress and Chief Creative Officer at Great American Family, Candace Cameron Bure.

Actress/Producer Lori Loughlin Continues to Spread Love and Compassion Volunteering with Project Angel Food;
Movie's Storyline Inspired by Opportunity to Serve

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Actress and producer Lori Loughlin was recently captured in a heartwarming moment, dedicating her time to volunteer in the bustling kitchen of Project Angel Food, a renowned Los Angeles-based charity committed to delivering medically tailored meals to critically ill individuals of all ages.

Loughlin, who has been an unwavering presence within the organization since January 2021, took on the delightful role of "pie duty," joining hands with Project Angel Food's skilled chefs to prepare for the upcoming holiday season.

Motivated by the warmth of her experiences with Project Angel Food, Loughlin incorporated the concept of serving others into her latest made-for-television movie project, A Christmas Blessing, which has its World Premiere, November 12 at 8 p.m. exclusively on Great American Family.

In addition to her starring role, Loughlin serves as one of the executive producers of the film, which revolves around a successful TV chef's journey to rediscover the true meaning of her aunt's legacy. The heartwarming storyline unfolds as she inherits her deceased aunt's food pantry, Angel's Fare, leading her to host an unforgettable holiday feast for those in need. Most weeks, Loughlin dedicates her volunteer days to delivering meals directly to clients who face life-threatening conditions, rendering them unable to leave their homes. She has also actively participated in packaging meals, assembling nutritious breakfast bags filled with yogurt, fruit, and granola, and has generously lent her support in meal preparation, fruit sorting, and expressing gratitude to the generous donors who support over 2,500 seriously ill Angelenos relying on Project Angel Food for medically tailored meals designed to meet their specific medical requirements.

Reflecting on her involvement, Loughlin shared her sentiments during the organization's annual Lead with Love television special in 2022: "It's really a community. It's more than just feeding people; it's about loving people and helping people. I think that is so important, and I'm so proud to be a part of Project Angel Food."

She says now, "It's been a profound experience. As volunteers, you think you are giving to those in need, but we are the ones who are given a gift. It is a profound experience. When you give love, you get love, and it is so rewarding to know that you've brought a little happiness to someone's day and that you've delivered meals that are thoughtfully prepared with not only nutritious ingredients but also kindness and compassion."

In addition to Project Angel Food preparing and delivering 125,000 meals in the month of November, on Thanksgiving Day, the organization will provide thousands of traditional turkey dinners, complete with savory gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans, yams, and delectable homemade desserts, to their clients, many of whom find themselves isolated and alone during the holidays.

In 2023, a total of 3,446 volunteers have wholeheartedly invested 40,811.66 hours into supporting Project Angel Food, an effort equivalent to the dedication of 22 full-time employees. My Take:

I am delighted that Lori Loughlin will be starring in her FIRST Christmas movie for Great American Family THIS Christmas season! She and her co-star, James Tupper, starred together earlier this year in the Great American Winter film for Great American Family titled Fall Into Winter. That was such a wonderful story and Lori and James had a fantastic connection on screen; therefore, I'm glad Great American Family decided to pair the two together again!

It's especially nice to see that Lori's Christmas movie isn't just about Santa, mistletoe kisses, and sleigh rides, but instead, it will highlight an important charity that is near and dear to her heart, Project Angel Food, whose mission is serving others and giving of one's time for those in need. That is truly the best Christmas gift we can give others.

Having Lori Loughlin back on our TV's this Christmas season is such a wonderful treat! You may have also noticed that Lori's past Hallmark movies are playing once again on the Hallmark Channel. In fact, you can see Northpole: Open for Christmas next week, Friday, November 17th at 2pm/1c.

Hello, movie friends! As Christmas in July will soon be coming to an end, there have been some wonderful Christmas movie images released lately for Hallmark and Great American Family's upcoming 2023 Christmas movie season - that I wanted to be certain you've seen.

First up is A Biltmore Christmas, starring Bethany Joy Lenz and Kristoffer Polaha, which is filled with classic elegance, the glow of Christmas, and a hint of nostalgia, as Kristoffer stands in between two worlds - black and white and color.

I'm also captivated by many of the photos that have been released for A Biltmore Christmas, as I'm typically quite taken when it comes to vintage, retro-type films set in a different time period.

A Biltmore Christmas synopsis: Lucy Hardgrove (Joy Lenz) is a screenwriter who lands the job of a lifetime when she’s hired to pen the script for a remake of the beloved holiday movie, His Merry Wife! First filmed in 1947 at the beautiful, historic Biltmore House, it has long been considered a Christmas classic. When the head of the studio isn’t satisfied with the ending Lucy wrote because it deviates from the original’s feel-good conclusion, he sends Lucy to Biltmore Estate for research and inspiration. While there, she unwittingly discovers the ability to travel to the 1947 set of His Merry Wife! through the help of an hourglass. After shaking off the initial shock of this turn of events, Lucy embraces this as her chance to uncover the truth about the movie’s original ending. While on set, she and Jack Huston (Kristoffer Polaha), one of the film’s stars, spend time together and become close. My Quick Take:

'Blessings of Christmas' sounds like an intriguing, sweet story for Christmastime with the food pantry and giving to those in need. The story also seems somewhat similar to Fall Into Winter, with both Lori Loughlin and James Tupper's characters sharing a business. Will they agree or disagree this time on how best to operate it? We shall see.

In addition to Lori Loughlin, James Tupper, and Jesse Hutch, the movie also stars Jason Cermack (Eat, Play, Love, Christmas at Dollywood), Karen Holness (Christmas at the Plaza, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Higher Ground), and Laura Bertram (Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Home Again). Hope you all have a lovely weekend ahead. I'm looking forward to spending time with family and watching the movies with a winter theme. We are currently living in a snow globe here in the Midwest; we didn't get quite the amount of snow our local meteorologists predicted, but we still received a decent snowfall, nearly 5 inches. The roads were plowed rather quickly, and our winds have been relatively calm until today. Thankfully, it has been nothing like the blizzard we had just before Christmas, but we are hearing more is on the way! Everything is brightly covered now in white; the world looks pure and fresh. It's been the perfect packing snow for snowball throwing, sledding, and snowman building.

On Saturday night, I'm looking forward to seeing Lori Loughlin's big return to TV with Fall Into Winter. This is, of course, her second time on Great American Family, but her first time in a lead movie role on the network. (Her first appearance was in When Hope Calls Christmas) I'm wishing her much success with this new movie; we all deserve a second chance. The Lord certainly gives that opportunity to all of us. Both forgiveness and redemption are healing experiences. The Bible tells us, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

Olivia is with Prince Alexander. Queen Patricia is with Ridley. Kyle is with Tiffany or without her. Olivia has written another books called; “A Prince in Paradise”. Olivia video chat with Erica about Romance, Royalty, & Tropical Islands. Erica asks about Olivia & Prince Alexander or books so, Olivia replies both. Since Prince Alexander’s Mother named Queen Patricia sends Ridley to spy on Prince Alexander in Haven Isles when Winston & Prince Alexander arrive in paradise; “Haven Isles”, for Fundraisers. ~Anonymous

👑 A Prince in Paradise – The story was simple and sweet, a bit cheesy at times, but mostly family-friendly minus some of the wardrobe. The swimsuits worn on the beach were too revealing for my taste, along with Rhiannon’s dress choice for the charity function. Overall, in my opinion, this film is not a stand-out for the royal-themed movies; the romance portion was way too instant. Not a keeper for me, personally, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it for family viewing based on the clothing choices. ~Net

💕 FROM CHICAGO WITH LOVE Family friendly, I think, although if you are watching with young kiddos, the female lead was moving in together with her fiance before they got married, which could be a questionable value for some. Anyways... some of you know I don't like love triangle romance tropes. I do love both female and male lead. Happy to see Dan Jeannotte again :) I'm not a fan of how the story unfolded and just the whole storyline generally. Too many things going on with the obnoxious and ridiculous influencer and Poppy's career life, plus the fake/real fiance, and the whole wedding planner thing which was taking it way too far and too unrealistic to me. I do love the chemistry and enjoy it when Poppy and Milo are connecting, but to me it's hard to feel good about their fake romance development while Poppy was also still engaged, no matter how indifferent her fiance was. Also, I couldn't stand that influencer lady. So dramatic and manipulative, and then all of a sudden she came to game night?! This is a one time watch for me, but I do hope we will see Dan Jeannotte and Rebecca Liddiard again in another movie. ~CH Mom

❄ Fall Into Winter – I sooo enjoyed this family-friendly movie on Great American Family! What a delicious treat! Lori Loughlin is lovely, as always, even when she was working in the kitchen in the candy shop. Seeing her again on my TV screen, felt like a visit with a dear old friend. It was such a pleasure to see Lori return in Fall Into Winter, which was heartwarming, engaging, and down-to-earth. This well-written story is more unique than the average rom-com. The tension between Lori’s character, Kerry, and her new business partner, Brooks, played by James Tupper, was amusing and entertaining. The two also have a history from high school, which is an interesting part to their story, which leaves both characters feeling vulnerable over this new partnership. It was reiterated throughout the movie, that this business venture was a fresh start, and I thought that was a wonderful comparison for Lori’s return to acting and this January movie premiere for the New Year. Fall Into Winter is such a cozy, sweet story; I know I will enjoy watching it over and over again. And I was so delighted to see Lori Loughlin again; I can’t wait to see what Great American Family plans with her next! ~Net

Details on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original movie "Mid-Love Crisis"

I wanted to be certain you all were aware of the storyline in this new upcoming Hallmark movie - that will include a same-sex couple...

Variety shared this Hallmark movie news today...

"Teri Hatcher and James Tupper will star as former high school sweethearts in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original movie “Mid-Love Crisis,” premiering this fall. Brian Markinson, June Laporte and Matreya Scarrwener also star.

Hatcher portrays Mindy, a single mom approaching her 50th birthday who “realizes she’s in the throes of a bonafide mid-life crisis.” During a long weekend at the family’s lake house with her daughter Rita (Laporte) and Rita’s girlfriend, Emily (Scarrwener) Mindy is surprisingly reunited with her former boyfriend — Emily’s uncle, Sam (Tupper), who she hasn’t spoken to in three decades.

As Rita plans to surprise Emily with a proposal, she tells her mom she wants her dad to join them, leading to Mindy’s two exes under one roof.

“As the weekend progresses, an assertiveness inside her awakens and Mindy finds herself not only embracing her life, but discovering what it is she truly wants as she gets ready to start the next chapter,” the (Hallmark media) release adds."


Due to this storyline and my own personal beliefs, I will not be promoting this movie.
