"Notes from the Heart Healer" Re-airs this Weekend!

I have received many messages from those of you who enjoyed the newest Hallmark Channel Movie, Notes from the Heart Healer and messages from some of you who missed the premiere.



Well, if you missed the initial airing of Notes from the Heart Healer or if you would like to see it again, than mark your calendars - the movie will re-air one more time during this upcoming weekend - on Saturday May 19th at 4 PM! Be sure to set your recorders & dvr's!

I was busy over Mother's Day weekend, spending time with my family and of course, my Momma, so I haven't viewed it, yet... but I have it recorded and I'm looking forward to watching it (hopefully) soon.

*By the way, I have seen alot of the Hallmark Channel Schedule up until mid-June and it looks like many of the weekends are going to be filled with Marathons of Sitcoms and Dramas, instead of Hallmark Movies - so, I'm giving you a "heads up" - be sure to "catch" this movie now while you have the chance. It might be a little while until it is aired again.

This looks to be another wonderful Movie for the Note series. Each one has starred Genie Francis as Peyton McGruder and Ted McGinley as King Danville. It is so wonderful that they have been able to reprise the roles that Angela Hunt created originally in her Books. In this story, Peyton (A recently married renowned author) is shocked when she finds a baby abandoned on her doorstep ... (click here to read more!)

Hallmark Movies Pictured in New Banner

I recently changed the Banner on the site and Many followers and visitors have been asking and wondering "Who are those people in the movie film strips and what movie are they in"?

So, I thought I would answer the question and list them here.

Let's start from Left to Right...

On the Left, is pictured Joely Fisher and Roark Critchlow, from the upcoming Hallmark Channel "Valentine-themed movie, Cupid.

Next to them, holding a baby, is Genie Francis and Ted McGinley. who will be in the third Hallmark Channel sequel of the The Notes movies on Mothers Day, titled: Notes from the Heart Healer.

On the right side of the Banner, there are four more movies - the movie featured on top is Hallmark Channel's Undercover Bridesmaid, starring Brooke Burns and Justin Baldoni.

In the three movie film strip, these upcoming Summer Movies are (left to right), Puppy Love, Lake Effects, and Love's Playing our Song. Puppy Love and Love's playing our Song will premiere on the Hallmark Channel while Lake Effects will premiere on Hallmark MOVIE Channel.

PLOT:

Notes from the Heart Healer is the third installment of one of Hallmark Channel's highest-rated movie series of all time, "The Note."

Genie Francis and Ted McGinley reprise their roles as Peyton MacGruder (Francis) and King Danville (McGinley) and, in this installment, Peyton (A recently married renowned author) is shocked when she finds a baby abandoned on her doorstep by a homeless and desperate teen. An anonymous note begs for Peyton to take care of the infant. Peyton finds herself awakening painful memories of the own child she gave up years ago and a motherly instinct she never knew she had. As MacGruder and Danville search for the baby's rightful home, Peyton is stunned by the growing maternal instinct she feels for the small child. Torn between wanting to adopt the baby and wanting to find the mother to help her get back on her feet, she finds her answer in forgiveness.

Francis and McGinley reprise their roles as a columnist and a sports writer brought together by the power of words and the power of love in the Hallmark Channel Original Movie “The Note II: Taking a Chance on Love”.

Having been reunited with Christine, the daughter she gave up for adoption 18 years earlier, Peyton MacGruder (Francis) is still learning the ropes of parenting. She’s also busy writing her “Heart Healer” column, as well as managing a relationship with coworker and boyfriend King Danville (McGinley).

Movie Review:

You always wonder when you hear there is a sequel… if it can possibly be as good as the original. Well, this one certainly was! I was instantly swept right up in the familiarity of these characters and their life struggles.

I couldn’t wait to see where The Note II: Taking a Chance on Love would take the characters of Peyton MacGruder and Kingston Danville. I loved the way their friendship turned into so much more, yet was so sweet and mature! I appreciate how Hallmark doesn’t feel the need to make their characters immoral… Thank you Hallmark Channel!

I must also mention how handsome Mr. Ted McGinley is in this… he is so debonair ~ he often reminded me of a modern day Cary Grant. …And Genie Francis, is so lovely in this sequel– it was obvious she enjoyed playing this role - because she glowed!

This movie was written intelligently and with great detail into each character. I enjoyed the additional cast members in this movie… especially Eve, (played by Kate Trotter) whose own love story encouraged Peyton to “Take a Chance on love!”

Wonderfully done… I was left wanting more and hoping for a third movie!

A small scrap of paper carrying a message of love and forgiveness survives a fiery plane crash, and leads a journalist struggling with her own past to embark on an inspirational journey in “The Note.”

Dejected, her only moral support is from her longtime colleague, King Danville (McGinley), who she shares a flirtatious-but-professional relationship with. When a horrific plane crash kills all aboard in the waters near her office, Peyton suddenly finds herself in possession of a scrap of paper containing a hastily written but heartfelt message from one of the passengers to his child. Inspired by the power of the words, Peyton pledges to discover the note’s intended recipient and deliver it by Christmas. Taking her readers along for the journey while trying to stay one step ahead of a TV tabloid reporter (Roberts), Peyton sets out across the country in her search, and unexpectedly confronts her own personal demons in the process.

“The Note” shows how dramatically life can change in an instant, and how it takes mere moments to make a connection: to reach out to someone you care about, to offer words of reconciliation, to express love or regret or admiration.

Movie Review:

I was surprised that I enjoyed this movie as much as I did. That may sound odd, but I figured this movie, from the description, would be extremely sad and depressing, and while there certainly were "sad moments", I found it to be healing and uplifting to those who have endured a tragic loss.

I enjoyed watching as the relationship between Peyton and King slowly developed... and as Peyton was working through the mystery of who wrote the letter - while dealing with her own past issues.

It was beautifully moving! Not your typical fantasy Christmas Movie. This one seemed intelligently written and put together for a smart audience. I compare it with the Christmas Drama - A Christmas Wish, starring Debbie Reynolds - smart and intriging!

Also, I have always liked Genie Francis and Ted McGinley - so having them together in this.... is absolutely wonderful. Though I knew them from previous roles, they quickly became the characters of Peyton and King... and their quiet, simple love story is beautiful!

I absolutely suggest that you should see this one! The Note is a very emotional and touching Movie. Please note it may not be suitable for children... as it deals with the topic of loss and death. I think older - maturer audiences will enjoy this dramatic mystery very much.
