Christmas Movies in Production:

I love to see Christmas movie titles in production, and I've noticed lots of them lately... CHRISTMAS IN PARADISE, CHRISTMAS ON DUTY, A CHERRY PIE CHRISTMAS, A PRINCE'S CHRISTMAS HOPE, MERRY LITTLE MYSTERY, THE TIMELESS CHRISTMAS CARD, and so on...

I don't know, quite yet, which networks will pick up all of these movies, but it's interesting to speculate and fun to see the Christmas movies in the production phase, and I look forward to hearing and sharing more when the news is officially released.


Great American Family 2025 Christmas Movies:

Thus far, Great American Family has only officially announced two Christmas movies for the 2025 holiday season:

Possible GAF Christmas Movie? :

Recently, while Brittany Underwood and Jonathan Stoddard were filming another Christmas movie together in New York titled A Christmas Tail, WKBW in Buffalo did a story about their new film.

Their movie, A Christmas Tail, is directed by Fred Olen Ray, and according to the WKBW article, this festive film focuses on animal rescue.

Two of Brittany Underwood and Jonathan Stoddard's recent Christmas movies together, A Royal Christmas Holiday and A Royal Christmas Ballet, premiered on Great American Family. There is no word, yet, on where A Christmas Tail will premiere.


Christmas Movie Recently Announced:

The website Moviedelic has announced that a fascinating time travel film, The Timeless Christmas Card, is in the works for Great American Family.

The movie is set to begin filming in Victoria, BC later this month and the story (according to the website) "centers around a woman trying to sell her grandmother’s greeting card shop who finds herself transported back in time to when the shop was in its prime."

Paula Elle, who directed Just in Time, Home Sweet Christmas, B&B Merry, and more, will also be the director of this film. No word on the cast of The Timeless Christmas Card, just yet.

🎄Great American Family Announces Christmas Movie News for 2025!!!🎄SEE HERE:

It was *destined* to happen! A third movie in the "Destined at Christmas" franchise is in-the-works for Great American Family and is headed to the network in 2025! The announcement was made in the latest press release for Great American Family's Valentine movie premiere, Passport to Love, which also stars Shae Robins.

Here's an excerpt of the official announcement 

from Great American Family's press release:

"Great American Family announces development of a final original installment of the “Destined” trilogy starring Robins and Elliott, which will premiere as part of Great American Christmas 2025."

Since the last movie was all about Kim (Shae Robins) and Theo's (Casey Elliott) engagement, I think it's safe to guess this third installment would involve their wedding. I'm excited to learn more about it, though, when Great American Family eventually releases more details. Stay tuned!

While we wait for this, be sure to catch encore presentations of the first two "Destined" movies...

What a fun weekend ahead for Christmas movies! I'm looking forward to Great American Family's premiere, Destined at Christmas, and two of Hallmark's look potentially good to me... Noel Next Door and A Kismet Christmas!

Destined at Christmas looks intriguing since it centers around Black Friday shopping and falling in love! I'm curious to see how these two people will search for one another after their chance meeting.

Noel Next Door is giving me and I'm sure many of you, too, vibes of Christmas Next Door, but the male lead seems even Grinchier. That's a word, right? Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing Natalie Hall and Corey Sevier paired together again. They had such great chemistry in Road Trip Romance, even if the story faltered in a few places.

Then, the last movie I'm excited about is... A Kismet Christmas! I was instantly drawn to the images where they dress up in Victorian-style costumes. I also love that the lead role is a children's book author. It looks like a sweet one, and it's nice to see the young actress from last year's GAC Family premiere, A Christmas Miracle for Daisy.

*Be sure to note... the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries NEW Christmas movie, We Need a Little Christmas, premieres on SATURDAY night at 10pm/9c. I know we are used to most premieres on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on Sunday evening. This movie looks good to me, too, but I know it may also be a little sad, as well.

Last, but not least, for the Christmas movies... Kristoffer Polaha's all new Christmas movie, We Wish You a Married Christmas, premieres this weekend! Don't get me wrong, I really him, but I'm not too sure about this story with the quarreling spouses. Plus, some of the other characters seem to be a bit over-the-top with their silliness in the commercial promo, but we'll see.

In non-holiday movie news... I pre-screened the new UPtv movie, Star-Crossed Romance...

Movie Review:

Star-Crossed Romance is mostly family-friendly, with a few cautions... God's name is used in vain, at least twice, and the drama teacher, who is one of the side characters, acts VERY, VERY Strange. He has a fairly large stomach and he often rubs it and rolls around to get on the stage. My eyebrows were raised more than a few times. The chemistry between the leads was lacking, in my opinion, and some of the acting was sub-par. I never quite understood why the parents were punished to work on the school play's set after their children, who are portraying a modern (very odd) re-telling of Romeo and Juliet, got in a fight. Near the end, there was a nice moment when the two single parents and their children enjoyed a family dinner, but even that was spoiled when Piper, the mother, asks if they say grace, and the father and daughter, say “yeah,” and they simply say “grace” loudly in unison. They all laugh and begin to eat. So… praying is essentially laughed at. I could go on, but I'll just say it has a happy ending where family is put first before work, but the movie is definitely not a keeper for me. ~Net

Over the weekend, Great American Family aired some BRAND NEW CHRISTMAS MOVIE PROMOS!!! The first one I saw played Bing Crosby in the background beautifully singing "It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas." Oh my goodness... there's something about hearing THAT Song, HIS Voice, and THOSE moving Lyrics... that instantly carries my heart away to the magic, awe, and wonder of the Christmas season.

🌟In the NEW Christmas commercial GAfamily shared many of the actors we are anticipating seeing this year on the channel, including Candace Cameron Bure, Danica McKellar, Cameron Mathison, Jen Lilley, etc... The commercial also shared one more actress we hadn't heard announced, yet, for this Christmas season... Cindy Busby! Last year, Cindy starred in Joy for Christmas with Sam Page. Looking forward to hearing what her NEW Christmas movie this year will be on Great American Family!

🌟There was also a new promo commercial for Destined at Christmas, starring Shae Robins and Casey Elliott, which was announced to be the first Christmas movie premiere for 2022 on Great American Family on Saturday, October 22, 2022!

🌟Along with the premiere date for Destined at Christmas, the commercial also stated this was the first of 18 New Christmas to premiere this year on Great American Family!

🌟Catering Chistmas, starring Daniel Lissing and Merritt Patterson, will be the second premiere on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

🎄Great American Family Shares New Christmas Movie: “Destined at Christmas” 🌟See Here:

During the Great American Family premiere of "Identical Love" on Saturday night, the network shared a sneak peek of an upcoming Christmas movie in one of the commercial breaks. This new movie is titled "Destined at Christmas" and stars Shae Robins ("Identical Love") and Casey Elliott ("Retreat to Paradise"). The film's production company is Candlelight Media Group, who also produced "Identical Love," "Love, Lost, and Found," "Love's Portrait," "Hot Chocolate Holiday" and others.

I think "Destined at Christmas" looks like a fun, refreshing, lighthearted movie! The story made me think of "Prescription of Love" somewhat, in the way he was searching for the mysterious woman in the elevator.
