*See UPDATE below!
Author Teri Wilson talks all about splashing onto the Hallmark Movie scene, in a recent article at mysanantonio.com, with her second upcoming Hallmark movie - "The Art of Us" starring Taylor Cole ("My Summer Prince") and Steve Lund ("Christmas in Connecticut") on May 20, 2017! Details here!
Stealing the Spotlight...
In addition to this news, in the article Teri Wilson expresses delight in the grand success of her first book being made into a Hallmark movie, last year, "Unleashing Mr. Darcy," and there's even mention in the article about the chance, "talks of Unleashing Mr. Darcy" - becoming a sequel one day, too! Is it possible Cindy Busby will reprise her role as Elizabeth Scott and Ryan Paevey will return as Donovan Darcy? I sure hope so! Although, for now... we'll have to wait and see!
Plus, as many of you know, who follow my Upcoming Christmas Movie list... Teri Wilson's book “Sleigh Bell Sweethearts,” has also been optioned for a Hallmark Christmas movie!
So, if you're a fan of the original "Unleashing Mr. Darcy" movie - then this is definitely good news for you! I personally enjoy Jane Austen's works - so I love how the basis of Austen's Pride & Prejudice novel was weaved into this story!
The original "Unleashing Mr. Darcy" movie is available now on DVD! Be sure to snag yourself a copy at Amazon! This is definitely a keeper!
*UPDATE - January, 2018: There is buzz on social media about a potential sequel for "Unleashing Mr. Darcy" titled "Marrying Mr. Darcy"! Hallmark has NOT officially announced or green lit this project, yet. Please stay tuned for additional details!
*UPDATE #2 - March, 2018: Hallmark has officially announced - "Marrying Mr. Darcy" starring Cindy Busby and Ryan Paevey is, indeed, in the works! It will be seen during Hallmark's "June Weddings" block of movies!
Oh, I so hope that they will make a sequel to "Unleashing Mr. Darcy!" I would love to see the original cast in it, too. So often (as it is in this case) that is what makes the movie good and gives it it's "sparK" :-)
ReplyDeleteYES!!! I love Unleashing Mr Darcy. Great move, would love a sequel. Wish Crown for Christmas would get a sequel too!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope so! This is one of my very favorite movies!
ReplyDeleteHi, Net!! I just received my copy of "Unleashing Mr. Darcy" today, Yay!! I loved this movie so much and watch it every time it airs. What a beautiful couple and the chemistry was "Primo"!! Please, please give us a sequel!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope there is a sequel! I never get tired of "dog movies." :)
ReplyDeleteFirst All of My Heart and now this! Even if it's a maybe, I'm thrilled they are at least talking about it. I would love to see them do a sequel to some of the Christmas movies this year.
ReplyDeleteI would love a sequel to "Unleashing Mr. Darcy."!
ReplyDeleteI know my comment is not related to this post, but are you planning on continuing the "It's a Wonderful Movie" polls?
ReplyDeleteYes! How sweet of you to ask! I will, most definitely, be bringing back the movie polls! Look for them very soon! ( hopefully, early next week! )
DeleteThank you so much for asking!!! :)
Great news because I love the polls probably because this year so far the results have been unexpected.
DeleteIt would be awesome to have a sequel to ALL of the Hallmark channel movies!!!
ReplyDeleteWith all these rumours surfacing about sequels to various movies it does seem that Hallmark may be going in a new direction.
ReplyDeleteI personally feel a bit uneasy about these because I like the current boy/man meets girl/woman, initial difficulties but work through to "happy ever after" format. These sequels seem better suited to HMM Channel.
I suppose thought it's only fair to wait and see what transpires and thn make a judgement.
My idea of a sequel would be something like a follow-up to Christmas Cookies where Hannah's sister Jill could be the heroine - it wouldn't even have to set in Cookie Jar.
It would be wonderful to see Jill Wagner and Wes Brown even in a cameo roll (although I couldn't envisage that happening) and with two or three children in tow!
I agree with you! Christmas Cookies was my favorite among Hallmark Christmas movies. That would be great to have a sequel and see Jill and Was even in a cameo roll. I am a Jill Wagner fan since I saw Autumn Dreams.
DeleteI was not a fan of the original. I really didn't care for these characters or Ryan and Cindy's acting to watch either in another TV movie
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of Pride and Prejudice and Jane Austen and I absolutely adored Unleashing Mr Darcy. I'm jumping for joy that we may get a sequel and hopefully with the same cast as they were so great. I'm looking forward to Teri's new films
ReplyDeleteI know it's too much to wish for but I wish we could get sequels to Crown for Christmas, Nine Lives of Christmas and A Royal Winter. This is why Hallmark is one of my favorite channels
Although I watch all the Hallmark movies especially the Christmas ones, I must admit some of them are bit meh. But I love Unleashing Mr Darcy and to have a sequel would be fantastic. As for most of the others yes having an update would be fantastic like they have done for Finding Father Christmas and All of My Heart. Well we can dream..
ReplyDeletePlease give us a sequel..live the chemistry... We want the original actors...
ReplyDeletePlease give us a sequel..love the chemistry... We want the original actors...
ReplyDeleteI read the Teri Wilson book after I saw the Hallmark movie and I was hooked on the story. I truly want a sequel but only with the original movie actors....Thank you A BIG FAN
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite Hallmark film of all time...100% would die to have a sequel...with original cast of course...
ReplyDeleteSounds like we are all going to get our wish! Writer Teri Wilson and actor Ryan Paevey have shared via Twitter that they will be filming "Marrying Mr. Darcy"! A sequel! Yay! Stay tuned for more news!
DeleteYAY !!!!
ReplyDeletethere BETTER be more cute doggies/puppies too !
lol !
Loved the book....obviously LOVED the movie..I've seen it more than a dozen times!!! Please make a sequel and make sure it includes Ryan Paevey!
ReplyDeleteI saw the commercial for the upcoming June 2018 weddings and unleashing mr Darcy stars were spotlighted so it looks like it’s a done deal!
ReplyDeleteYes, the sequel to "Unleashing Mr. Darcy" is absolutely coming this June! Cast members have been recently sharing lots of wonderful pictures (via social media) on set while filming. Both Cindy Busby and Ryan Paevey will once again return to reprise their starring roles as Elizabeth Scott and Donovan Darcy!!!
DeleteI am so excited to see Marring Mr Darcy! I love all the Harmark movies. I just watched Love at the Shore. It needs a sequel also :)
