TV ALERT: Great American Family May Lose Streaming Provider

If you've been watching Great American Family lately, you may have seen a new message pop up at the bottom of the screen for viewers who have the streaming service Frndly TV.

As seen in my screen-grabbed image above, the message states: "On Oct. 1, this channel will no longer be available to you! Contact FRNDLY at support@frndlyTV.com today!"

I saw this message last night and chatted with Frndly TV this morning about it. The customer service representative at Frndly TV stated (in our chat) that both companies are currently in active negotiations.

However, if you have an account with Frndly TV, please email them today. Let your voice be heard. Please tell them you want Frndly TV to keep Great American Family! I believe the more feedback they receive from their customers, the more likely they are to reach an agreement.

I also asked about the Great American Faith & Living channel, and customer service stated that since it is part of the overall Great American Channel's package, it would also be leaving their streaming service on October 1st.

As for Great American Pure Flix, which was just recently announced that it would be joining the streaming service as a paid subscription add-on, the customer service rep. had no further information on that at this time.

Of course, I am not thrilled about this development, as I love watching and recording my favorite Great American Family movies through Frndly TV, as it's so easy and convenient. I asked the Frndly TV rep. what would happen to my previous recordings from GAF, and they responded they did not know. The rep. then apologized and said they were doing everything they could do to keep the channels we wanted.

Today marks 20 days until the Christmas movies begin on Great American Family. Please let Frndly TV know you want their streaming provider to keep this channel! I'm hoping a deal can be made that will satisfy both companies and the viewers. We are coming upon the Christmas season, which is the season of miracles, after all!

📺 🌟 How the Streaming Service Frndly TV has Changed My TV Viewing Experience... for the Better! 📺 🌟 See Here:

Last Fall, several loyal followers here at It's a Wonderful Movie shared with us how much they enjoyed their streaming service, Frndly TV, which I must admit, made me even more curious and interested in this streaming service I had been hearing so many good things about. I access Frndly TV through my Roku device which is hooked up to my television. It was easy as a wink to navigate through Fndly TV's television guide and even easier to select a program and click record with my remote. Throughout Christmastime, I recorded many, MANY Christmas movies, old and new, through Frndly TV, which has an unlimited DVR! This was just what I needed since my recorder with my DirecTV was nearly full. Now that it is January, I've been missing the classic Christmas movies I love on TV; however, it's been easy and convenient to go into my Frndly TV recordings and select one of the Christmas movies I recorded back in November or December. And if I watch only a portion of the movie, I can effortlessly pick up right where I left off at a later time.

One of the best features of Frndly TV is that you can do a 72-hour lookback in their TV guide and capture something you may have missed. It's also easy to schedule recordings in advance. Viewers can even record multiple shows and movies at the same time. I love that! Plus, if I miss, say, something in the morning, then I can go back and catch it that night. Or, the next night. Frndly TV is also available to watch beyond your TV. You can easily access your Frndly TV account on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc... wherever you are!
