Both Jessica and Trevor wear such colorful, cheerful clothing throughout the film that are ideal for various Fall-themed occasions and events. My sweet Sister, Nea, has an incredible eye for fashion and detail; therefore, she did an amazing job tracking down some of Jessica Lowndes' and Trevor Donovan's best fashion pieces from the movie, and you'll find some extra Fall clothing you are sure to love!

To try and persuade him, Amy enrolls in his cooking school, which is located in a stunning Venetian palazzo. I hope you all enjoy the new movies this weekend!

I'm very much looking forward to seeing the new Great American Family movie, A Harvest Homecoming, starring Jessica Lowndes and Trevor Donovan. It seems we've been waiting so long for this movie premiere, and it's finally here! I think it will be inspiring to see how Trevor's role as a teacher will be incorporated with his real-life anti-bullying initiative, Team Upstanders. Plus, I love that some of this movie takes place in a real apple orchard. With its country setting, Trevor's plaid flannel shirts, and rustic-colored leaves, this movie is sure to have that cozy Fall feeling!

I'll also be eager to tune in to When Calls the Heart Sunday night to see the ball the Hope Valley community has organized during the Governor's short visit. What turn of events will come next for the town and the water supply? Will Elizabeth reveal more of what's in her heart to Rosemary? Hopefully, some of these questions will be answered in episode 10. (Only 2 more episodes to go this season after this!)

Have a Wonderful,
Blessed Weekend, Everyone!

  1. I have been looking forward to Mystery Island and A Harvest Homecoming! Can’t wait to watch both this weekend. I will also record a Very Venice Romance. And thank you for the info on your sister’s blog Net, I will for sure check it out! I always wonder about the cute fashion from these movies, especially the Wedding Veil ones.

    Have a blessed weekend everyone!

    1. A Harvest Homecoming was okay. I am not a fan of mysteries. A Very Venice Romance was great; the city is beautiful and still afloat! :) WCTH is getting very interesting.

  2. I am all in for WCTH of course!!! I am the biggest mystery fan, but don't dig Hallmark's lately. I'll still give it a try.

Not a big fan of horse films, so I'll pass on that one. The western one as well. Definitely watching Trevor's fall movie though! If I can find it on Prime or YouTube.

Looking forward to WCTH the most!!❤

    1. Mystery Island was ok but not great. At least the leads had a background to be involved. I’m personally burnt out on Hanna Swenson and others pretending to be bonifide investigators. As I think I commented a while back, if you want to solve murders, get your credentials and be legitimate. Don’t have any interest in watching any more.

  5. Adeline is based on inspiring true events in the life of Adeline, a therapy healing horse who had great success working with kids and adults with disabilities

  6. Mystery Island is family friendly about a criminal psychologist finds herself on a mystery getaway except that the murder in the fictional mystery weekend is all too real mystery game is whodunnit

  14. WCTH- Lucas was, incredible!! Elizabeth would be a fool to consider leaving him, and that's basically all I got on this episode. Just hope the next 2 episodes don't result in Hallmark's promotional stunt being right, because that would be really wrong. -Maria

    1. Couldn’t agree more, Maria! First seasons with new show runners are always a bit shaky but this has been a season of disappointments for me. Some dramatic tension is fine but recycling the triangle and tossing 4 years of a beautiful love story out the window is not.

    2. After watching that episode, how do you not respect Lucas!! It gave me chills. I agree Maria, he was incredible!!

I don't like how they are pulling us back and forth on Lucas/Nathan. She made her choice! She said she loves him. My gut tells me she'll find a way to stay with him, but I wish Hallmark would stop messing with us. If she were a godly FiancΓ©/wife, she would willingly follow her husband wherever he goes.

I loved watching Fiona and Faith(the Matchmaking Girls). How sweet of them to give Mei and Hickam a helping hand. And I loved watching Rosemary share her dresses and Fiona doing all the ladies' hair.

Missed seeing Henry, hopefully we'll see him next week.

Maria, Rebecca, Abigail...couldn't agree more with all 3 of you!! Lucas was awesome! He had me going for a minute! As for Elizabeth, I don't know where the writers are heading with her. But, it may be just a ploy to get things stirred up, which is working! Tired of the triangle! Let it rest and give Nathan some one to love! His character deserves better than what they have done so far!

    4. Lucas is uncertain. He has dreams outside of Hope Valley. He's a businessman and sees a bigger picture than Elizabeth does. Can they manage it long term without them having to leave Hope valley? And if they have to leave won't that be the end of the show?

      Delete
    5. Anonymous, in episode 2 of this season Lucas stated that Hope Valley was their home besides all the many times that he has stated that he chose to settle down in Hope Valley so I don’t think he has dreams outside of Hope Valley. Unless the writers are going to toss out everything he has ever said. Which is possible.

  15. Happy Monday to all of my friends!

The weather was so lovely, in Kentucky, this past weekend. :) Anyway, I tried to watch "Mystery Island" but ended up turning it off after about ten minutes. It was not good. I did watch "A Harvest Homecoming" all the way through. It was enjoyable but it will be a one-time watch for me. The music was lovely and I liked Trevor and Jessica together but I felt all of the fall decorations were over-the-top. It was too much. I will watch "Adeline" sometime this week. I like true stories. And, I will also watch "A Very Venice Romance" as well. I will report back after viewing both movies. Finally, I got excited seeing a commercial for the upcoming Great American Family Christmas movie season. I can't believe it is only a few weeks away. Several of the holiday movies intrigue me. :-)

  16. A Harvest Homecoming - While the movie was lovely and the message was good, Trevor Donavan and Jessica Lowndes didn't seem to have the greatest chemistry. He was more invested in his son than her, which is good that he cared, but a little awkward. And while I loved the fall theme, the decorations were over the top. What 12 year old has fall decorations in their bedroom? The amount of fake leaves handing all over was a bit much. I have to say my favorite actor in the movie was Sarah Fisher. I hope to see more of her in the future!

    1. Jennifer R, Thank you for your review! I also felt the same way about the garlands of fake leaves. It was fine in some places, like in the school around the bulletin board, but it was everywhere. Very distracting.

I also thought Sarah Fisher, the sister, was great. Very natural. By the way, she'll also be starring in the upcoming GAF Christmas movie, A Christmas Commission (wt)!

    2. Oh yay! I didn't notice that yet. And I'm glad you figured out what I was saying, I made a lot of typos. Like it was her son, not his. And the leaves were hanging all over. Yikes! :)

  17. GAF’s “A Harvest Homecoming” is family-friendly and a heartwarming film featuring a wonderful cast and over-the-top fall decorations. The chemistry between Trevor Donovan and Jessica Lowndes is genuine, and I especially liked the faith-based references throughout the story. I only wished Jessica and Trevor sang a duet together!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I absolutely loved "A Harvest Homecoming" it is family friendly and Trevor and Jessica were adorable! I loved the kid who played Jessica's son in the movie. Plenty of chemistry, and of course loved seeing all the fall foliage. I loved the storyline as well.

  19. I watched A Harvest Homecoming this weekend and it was a sweet movie. I loved all of the fall decor of course, the leaves, the amber colors, the pickup truck, the scenery, everything was beautiful. I think I liked the grandpa’s love story just as much as the main characters, he was so funny trying to impress that lady. Also loved the mom and dad, all the supporting characters were great. All in all great movie with a sweet relationship that blossomed.

  20. A Harvest Homecoming was a disaster. There was no chemistry between Trevor and Jessica. The story was missing something but not sure what. Jessica had a smile pasted on her face the entire time. I love both of these actors but they are not good together.

As for the decorations, way too much! It was distracting.

I love GAF, but this movie missed the mark for me.

A Harvest Homecoming was a one time watch for me. Chemistry was off between Jessica and Trevor. I like both actors but not together! And the decorations were hideous...way too many! Looked so fake!

I tried to watch Mystery Island couldn't do it!

  23. My husband and I watched "A Very Venice Romance", last night, and we enjoyed it. The leading couple had very nice chemistry. The scenery was spectacular and the supporting players were good. Italy is on my bucket list and one day I hope to visit there. I hope everyone is doing well. I am getting so excited about the upcoming holiday movies. Some of the movies look so great!

  24. I don't watch WCTH but just a hunch.

Could it be that Chris McNally has indicated to Hallmark his intention to leave the cast? - Florence

  25. Mystery Island was really good and definitely underrated. Those of you who stopped ten minutes into it, go back and try again! Family-friendly, otherwise I wouldn’t have watched it. It was kind of hard with the accents and maybe poor sound, I’m not sure, but the story was really good and intriguing. Especially the plot twist at the very end. ***Spoilers*** There was a question as to how they just sort of dismissed the second murder. I know it wasn’t intentional, but the way they just let it go was kind of weird.**** Don’t know how they could make more of these, but I would watch it if they did!-Anonymous1
