A sequel movie, with the working title, My Boss' Wedding 2, is currently filming and coming this Christmas! Actress Holly Deveaux shared this lovely image below while filming the sequel holiday movie.
Oh my goodness... I barely just finished the Christmas movies from last year, but I'm already excited about the new ones coming this year. How 'bout you? My Boss' Wedding is such a sweet, lighthearted movie. I wasn't anticipating a sequel, but now I'm delighted to know it's coming!!!
May you all enjoy a pleasant May weekend and a fun movie! I'm hoping the new Hannah Swensen Mystery is a good one, and I hope you all enjoy the family-friendly, musical film Just Jake as much as I did!
My Boss Wedding 2 as referred to My Boss’ Christmas Wedding?

DeleteMy Boss' Wedding - another unnecessary sequel Florence

ReplyDeleteHannah Swenson Mysteries: Carrot Cake Murder...
ReplyDeleteI was really, really enjoying the Hannah Swenson Mystery. It was family friendly, funny(I loved seeing her mother play detective, and she was good!), and it was good seeing Hannah and Mike happy together, and they mystery side of it was good as well. Even Michelle was growing on me. I don't want to give it away, but the way it ended made me upset. I don't understand why they did that, especially after Mystery101, apparently Hallmark didn't learn from their mistakes. Also why should Hannah be bothered by Norman dating someone else when she's engaged?! No wonder why they made that announcement about future movies, they were afraid of losing viewers.
Also, remember how they changed to "Lake Eden?" Made me laugh but of and on they would say both Eden Lake/Lake Eden, and it was the same for signs.
Yeah, that ending was rough. Now it makes sense why they announced this sequel movie so early after the Mystery 101 backlash.
DeleteSince Cameron Mathison is also filming this and other projects, I wonder if he’ll be doing another GAF Christmas movie this year, or is he back on Hallmark for good?
Hi Abigail,
DeleteI also got a chuckle out of the mix of Lake Eden/Eden Lake. And, like you, I was really enjoyed the movie up until the last five minutes. I screamed out loud, at the TV! They better FIX that in the next movie or I will be so mad. I am really wondering where the writer's were thinking. Seriously not cool. :-(
There’s another Hannah Swensen Mysteries - A Zest for Death: A Hannah Swensen Mystery
DeleteCameron Mathison has 2 more Hannah Swensen Mysteries to go
There’s only 3 Hannah Swensen Mysteries
Aww, Joan. You sound like me! I wish I could have watched it with you.πππ
DeleteHi Abigail! Yes, I wish we could have watched it together. :-)
DeleteEnjoyed the Love in Zion National:
ReplyDeleteA National Park Romance movie.
Thank you for including that beautiful scripture, Net. I needed that encouragement today. I will record Just Jake while I’m at evening church services and if we’re not too tired, we’ll watch later. It’s nice to know it’s family friendly before watching. Paula
ReplyDeleteAre the Hannah Swensen mysteries over? The way it ended looks like they were bringing it to an end. Is there to be no more
ReplyDeleteCameron Mathison?
No, they said this one will not be the last.
DeleteJust Jake. I watched about 40 minutes of this movie and I think it’s pretty good. I like this quote from the movie. “ "If I want a greener pasture... I should just water the one I'm in!" #JustJake @UPtv
ReplyDeleteHannah Swensen (AKA still Murder She Baked to me) was great besides all the back and forth tension between Hannah and Mike. If this was a standalone movie, it would be plain awful. Thankfully, they are filming another.
ReplyDeleteJust Jake - I really appreciated your review Net beforehand. This movie is.good family film and the music surprises keep coming (in a good way) when you least expect them. Brittany’s family is great and supportive, and it was nice to see scripture or statements of faith on the wall behind the family dinner scenes.
ReplyDeleteSo I watched the newest Hannah Swensen movie and it is family friendly. However if you read the books this movie is so far off of the book it's not even funny. I don't know which book this was suppose to be but the only elements from Carrot Cake is they mention the cat is acting weird. Like everyone else I didn't like the fight with Mike & Hannah and how it ended. Don't know how I feel about another movie coming. I liked Michelle a little better than in the previous movie but I still miss Andera and Bill.
ReplyDeleteI might be the odd ball here, but I do not like the Hannah Swenson series as good as Murder She Baked. Not even close! Just doesn't have the same warm fuzzy feel. Too many changes overall. Very disappointed with the series. Carrot Cake was a total disaster to me. Seeing way too much of Norman. Not letting Mike do his job. The ending was horrible and very childish to me on Hannah's part. The show is beginning to have a soap opera feel. It's too Hollywood! I have to say I believe this is Alison's doing because she owns the books now. Triangle should be long gone and Delores appears to have a crush on Norman herself. Can't help but compare to Garage Sale Mysteries. They have a health family relationship without all the drama!
ReplyDeleteCameron Mathison will be back for Christmas movies on GAFAM
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adored "Just Jake". I loved everything about. The message, the fact they talked about faith and God without hesitation, the beautiful simplicity of the church, the relationships and the music. Oh, and the scenery! I have family, in Colorado Springs, and it a lovely part of the country. :-) I am definitely buying the dvd when it comes out. It made my hubby cry.
