Hallmark Announces June Wedding Movies!!!

screen capture via Yahoo-TV video announcement

Actress Danica McKellar (Perfect Match, Crown for Christmas) announced via Yahoo TV video the 4 new movies for the Hallmark Channel's "June Wedding" theme... including one she will star in!

All details below via Yahoo-TV:

UPDATE: MS. MATCHED ADDED TO THE JUNE WEDDINGS SCHEDULE! SEE DETAILS HERE!

Wedding Bells, premiering (UPDATED!) Saturday, June 5 at 9 p.m. ET
Stars: Danica McKellar (The Wonder Years), Kavan Smith (When Calls the Heart), Bruce Boxleitner (Cedar Cove), Tammy Gillis (Unleashing Mr. Darcy)

Molly Quinn is a young New York fashion designer who would rather be single than risk being hurt by love. As she struggles to create a new fashion line, Molly’s socialite best friend, Amy, and her fiancΓ©, James, invite her to dinner. At a trendy restaurant, Molly meets handsome chef Nick Turner, a confirmed bachelor, who also believes that love only leads to heartache. When Amy learns that her wealthy family has suddenly gone broke, she is forced to cancel her elaborate wedding plans. Lending a helping hand, Nick offers to cater the affair at his father’s closed-down Massachusetts inn, and Molly volunteers to spearhead the wedding preparations.

At the inn, Molly and Nick are greeted by Charlie, Nick’s gruff-but-lovable dad, who is still grieving over the loss of his wife. As they beautify the resort and prepare for the upcoming wedding, Molly’s vintage tastes and emphasis on comfort clash with Nick’s refined sensibilities. Before long, Molly and Nick are inspired by a collection of Charlie’s old love letters and — despite their not believing in romance — find themselves falling for each other. On the day of the wedding, Amy and James realize they are not right for one another and decide to call it off. As her friends’ wedding plans unravel, Molly worries that a relationship with Nick wouldn’t work out, and suggests they part ways. But when she returns to the New York fashion scene, Molly can’t stop reminiscing about her time at the inn — and her time with Nick. With the inn now staged for a perfect wedding, the young fashion designer wonders if it’s too late to finally take a chance on love.

Stop the Wedding, premiering Saturday, June 11 at 9 p.m. ET
Stars: Rachel Boston (The Witches of East End), Alan Thicke (Growing Pains), Teryl Rothery (Cedar Cove)

When Annabelle Coakley, a young, single attorney, finds out that her beloved aunt who raised her is marrying a famous actor who is known just as much for his multiple failed marriages as for his acting career, Annabelle’s protective instincts take over and she is determined to keep her aunt from making a big mistake. The groom-to-be’s son also runs to the rescue of his father, believing he has once again found a bride in love with his money instead of him. When the two young saviors meet, things get messy. But in the process of trying to stop the wedding, they find themselves falling in love and learning to let go.

The Convenient Groom, premiering Saturday, June 18 at 9 p.m. ET
Stars: Vanessa Marcil (General Hospital, Las Vegas)

In the charming New England town of Nantucket, Dr. Kate Lawrence, a celebrity relationship expert, shoots another dating advice video for her popular blog. Later, at a farmers market, Kate shops with her fiancΓ©, Bryan, a handsome and perfectly polished businessman. There, Kate runs into Lucas Wright, a carpenter specializing in handcrafted furniture, who has had a crush on her since their high school days. Hoping to land a book deal, and urged by her aggressive show-business agent, Kate plans to publicly announce her engagement — and film the subsequent wedding arrangements for her blog — as a way to build her fanbase. At an upscale event, as Kate prepares to share the news, Bryan shocks her by breaking up with her and calling off the wedding. Wanting to save her from humiliation and protect her public image, Lucas steps in and pretends to be Kate’s fiancΓ©. With her career at risk, Kate reluctantly moves forward with her agent’s plan to let the public continue believing that Lucas — whom she considers just a friend — is her soon-to-be husband.

As a film crew shoots Kate and Lucas’ wedding preparations, the counterfeit couple starts to develop real feelings for each other. When Lucas declares his affections, Kate panics and — fearing a relationship would end in heartbreak — pushes him away. As her career soars, Kate feels guilty about betraying her fans and decides to confess that Lucas is not her fiancΓ©. But before Kate can apologize, Bryan’s new girlfriend posts a viral video, exposing Kate as a liar and her engagement to Lucas as a fraud. With her career and life now in shambles, the young relationship expert learns an unexpected lesson about love, and sets out to revive the romance she let slip away.

The Wedding March, premiering Saturday, June 25 at 9 p.m. ET
Stars: Jack Wagner (The Bold & The Beautiful) and Josie Bissett (Melrose Place)

Olivia Parsons is a fortysomething home stager and single mom to her 20-year old daughter, Grace. Though she favors work over romance, Olivia plans to marry Josh Johnson, a prominent — and career-obsessed — New York realtor. At Grace’s suggestion, Olivia agrees to have her wedding at a picturesque New England inn. When Olivia arrives at the inn, she’s shocked to find it is owned and operated by her college sweetheart, former pop star Mick Turner (Jack Wagner, When Calls the Heart). Having separated on bad terms over two decades ago, Olivia’s chance reunion with Mick becomes even more awkward when her wedding band cancels and Mick’s college-bound daughter, Julie, arranges for him to perform in their place.

As the wedding day approaches, Olivia and Mick initially lock horns but soon, feelings for each other begin to resurface. Meanwhile, Josh learns that Mick is considering selling the inn and jumps at the chance to become his realtor, focusing on breaking into the New England real estate market instead of his upcoming marriage. When Grace and Julie notice sparks reigniting between their respective mom and dad, they subtly — and not so subtly — encourage the former couple to reunite. Though Olivia and Josh make a perfect team as business partners, Olivia starts to question whether they’re romantically compatible — and wonders if romance might be more important to her than she originally thought. When Mick makes his true feelings known at the rehearsal dinner, Olivia must decide if she’s going to walk down the aisle as planned, or give her first love a second chance.

I hope you will *fall in love*
with all of these new "June Weddings"
coming soon to the Hallmark Channel!

My Interview with Lori Copeland, author of Stranded in Paradise, a New Hallmark Channel Movie!

Writer
Lori Copeland

I am so thrilled to share with you all today my Interview with writer Lori Copeland, who has written over 100 books, including the novel Stranded in Paradise, which has become a Hallmark Channel movie starring James Denton and Vanessa Marcil!

“Lori lives in the beautiful Ozarks with her husband Lance. They have three sons, three daughter-in-laws, and six wonderful grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.” (via Lori’s web-site)

I was over-joyed to have the opportunity to ask Lori a few questions about her book-turned-movie! Please see her interview (below) with me, for Stranded in Paradise!

Enjoy...

-------------------------------------

Interview with writer,
Lori Copeland
-------------------------------------

1. First of all, since the Hallmark Channel Movie Stranded in Paradise is based on your book, by the same name, would you share with us some of your other popular book titles?

Best known to my reading audience for my Brides of the West series, Faith Hope, June, Patience, Glory and Ruth. Writing now for Harvest House and have a new book just releasing, The Healer’s Touch.

2. Where do you find inspiration for your stories/characters? Does your faith play a role?

My faith always plays a huge roll in my work. I wrote for 15 years in the secular market and felt very much suffocated by what I did. It wasn’t the true me, or the feelings I have about living a “happy” life. When the door to the Christian Market opened in 1999, I sailed through it and wrote the Brides of the West series. I have now published over a hundred titles (that includes secular and Christian titles.)

3. What do you hope viewers will take away from watching your Hallmark Channel movie Stranded in Paradise?

Oh my. I WiSH they could (take) James Denton home with them! He’s such a cute guy and from my understanding a very strong Christian.

But my take-away is always, “God is good, all the time.” He has uplifted and blessed me so often that the movie felt like a huge God Pat. I had rewritten "Stranded in Paradise" for Women of Faith many years ago, and hadn’t thought about it in years, and then out of the blue, the movie.

Thank you, Lori... for taking the time to do this interview. You have quite a collection of lovely books and I'm delighted you were able to transition where your heart was leading... into the Christian book industry.

Thank you, followers... for taking the time to read this interview. I hope we will all look forward to seeing Lori Copeland's Movie: Stranded in Paradise, which Premieres Saturday, August 9, 2014 on the Hallmark Channel!

a Hallmark Movie within a Hallmark Movie!

As I was looking through images of the upcoming Hallmark Channel movie Stranded in Paradise I saw this picture of actress Vanessa Marcil where she looks like she is taking some leisure time on the beach reading a book.

Curiosity got the best of me, so I took a look closer at the book she is reading and low and behold the book is Diann Hunt's For Better or For Worse, which incidentally, just recently became a Hallmark Channel movie! I can't help but wonder, will she mention the book in this movie? Or, is the book just merely a prop? See the movie Stranded in Paradise, which stars Vanessa Marcil and James Denton, on August 9th, 2014 on the Hallmark Channel!

Seeing this picture reminded me that I know of 2 more Hallmark Movies, which have references to other Hallmark Movies.

Here they are...

The first movie is A Carol Christmas, which stars Tori Spelling as a Talk Show host. If you look closely when Carol (Tori) is walking down a hallway at work, there is a poster in the background for the Hallmark Movie Straight from the Heart.

The second movie with another Hallmark movie reference is the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie Silver Bells. At the beginning of the movie, the young girl says she wants to watch a Christmas Movie that night. A Season For Miracles. Which is, of course, another Hallmark Hall of Fame Movie!

Have you ever caught another Hallmark movie moment like this in another Hallmark movie? If so, please share! And, let's be sure to keep our eyes and ears open for more!

The Nanny Express

MOVIE REVIEW

The Nanny Express:

Hallmark Channel Movie starring Vanessa Marcil (“Las Vegas”), Dean Stockwell (“Quantum Leap”), and Stacy Keach (“Prison Break”).

CAST:
Vanessa Marcil ... Kate
Brennan Elliott ... David
Natalie Dreyfuss ... Emily
Uriah Shelton ... Ben
Dean Stockwell ... Jerry
Dorie Barton ... Lisa
Peter Dobson ... Ray
Stacy Keach ... Rev. MacGregor

PLOT:

from Hallmark-

Vanessa Marcil is a nanny with a knack for healing a hurting family in the Hallmark Channel Original Movie “Nanny Express”. Dean Stockwell and Stacy Keach co-star in the heartwarming tale of learning to have faith in yourself and trust in others.

By the time Kate Hewitt (Marcil) walks through his front door, widower David Chandler (Brennan Elliott, “Strong Medicine”) is a desperate man. His two children, nine-year-old Ben
(Uriah Shelton, “Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight”) and teenager Emily (Natalie Dreyfuss, “Connected”), have already succeeded in chasing a string of six terrorized nannies out of the very same entryway. But Kate, who is caring for an ailing father (Stockwell) and finishing up a teaching degree, needs this job and she resolves to stand up to whatever tricks and pranks the
Chandler kids can dish out—and to help them cope with the death of their mother.

As Kate slowly wins over young Ben, dad David finds himself falling for the spunky nanny as well. The feeling is mutual, but a bitter Emily is determined not to let Kate into her life—or her father’s. Emily doesn’t realize that Kate understands exactly what she’s going through because Kate lost her own mother as a teenager. Somehow, Kate must find a way to reach the angry and isolated teen since Emily’s happiness—and Kate’s as well—depends on it.

Movie Review:

I instantly liked the character of Kate - the devoted daughter to her very sick father, good friend to her lovelorn best friend, the mentor to the local youth at her church, the determined student working towards becoming a teacher, and the new nanny to David's children, Emily and Ben. She has a very busy life.... and being the Nanny, however, isn't too easy. David's children don't want anyone to replace their mother and have plenty of schemes to play on each nanny to get rid of them. This part of the storyline is quite fun.

Kate, however, stays strong and is determined to make it work. In the meantime, she and David, become interested in one another and Ben warms up to her, as well.... Emily, though, keeps up her schemes and works against Kate and her father.

I loved seeing Kate's devotion to her church and to God. It was nice to see Kate turn towards prayer in her time of need.

Spoiler:
Kate's father passes away and Kate eventually leaves her job as the nanny and begins to teach. Emily learns that Kate also lost her mother as a teenager and they finally connect. And then there's David... he and the children visit Kate at school while she is teaching and he officially asks her out on a date.

It has a delightfully sweet ending... that actually leaves you wanting more!

See or Skip:

See, but probably not for small children due to the situation with Kate's father.
